Kabir had never been this happy ever in his life! Three months, three months ago he had shared about his troubled childhood with Anaisha, who very maturely understood him and comforted him. He felt pride in her for her sensible and caring approach towards his past. With so much ease she handled everything and him. He expected her to sympathise with him or pity him but her reaction was completely opposite to his expectations! She was just so much wise in her words and not once said something which showed that she pitied him. Instead of this, she was trying to help him forget his past and move on with his life with her. He was still in awe of her. He didn't have enough words to praise her!

Since the time he had opened up about his painful past, she had started taking extra care of him. Like that day after the revelation when he was getting ready, she was the one who picked out his clothes and arranged it on his bed and even made his favourite dish for breakfast. Not only this but she used to make sure that he takes proper care of himself and even when they were in hospital, she checked on him every now and then. She even used to takes care of his GM! She's pampering him and he loved it! But it should be the other way round? He should be the one doing all that, though he was doing that but still! She'd spoil him if she kept on doing all these little things for him!

True, she used to take care of him before as well but after that day, she had became very protective about him and tried her best to keep him away from pain! Just yesterday, some girl called Sonia was talking rubbish about him, that how he was using a young intern for his own needs and other stupid stuff like he's with her for her wealth and blah blah! Generally Kabir avoided all this rumours about himself but how could his lady love bear that?

She got in a huge argument with that girl Sonia and if Kabir hadn't intervened then most probably she would've smashed that girl's face on the wall and almost killed her because even after repeated warnings Sonia wasn't slowing down on her allegations against Kabir! But how could Annie let her go without a proper apology? So she made that girl apologise! Hmm...his cute girlfriend was a little kitten who thought of herself as a big tigress!

But anyway he loved her and all phases of her, even her anger!
Never in his life, did he felt this much loved! And he knew apart from her, no one could love him this much even if they don't know about his past!

Though their families and friends were perfectly fine with their relationship and were happy for them but there were still people who don't have any other work apart from criticising others. Those people used to talk rubbish about Annie and Kabir and ridicule them because of their relationship, though that's a different story that none of these people had guts to say the same on Anaisha and Kabir's face.

Kabir being the sort of person he was, wasn't really bothered by what people said about him but there was one thing which caught his ears that made him think really hard! He was 6 years older to her! Six years! Though they weren't much but still!

'Was he too old for her? Should she date someone of her age? Will they have issues because of their age gap? Will she fall out of love? Will she leave him? These were the questions were going round in Kabir's mind. His heart had long back given up explaining to his mind so Mr. Mind was free to think anything.

But he couldn't share it with her as only a two weeks were remaining for her internship to get over and for her final exams were just around the corner, which would earn her the Doctor's Degree. So she was extremely busy but still took out time from her busy schedule for him.

Her internship was getting over, which meant she'll apply for her PG and that meant she'll leave him and go! No, he couldn't survive without her even for a minute but he wasn't selfish. He couldn't stop her from living her dreams.

Their age difference, her further studies, his insecurities about her, etc were getting the best of him. So he decided that no matter what he'll talk to her about them and clear his mind!

Anaisha, after knowing about Kabir's childhood and his deceased sister, Samyra, felt really bad for him. She never even in her wildest dreams thought that Kabir had suffered so much that too from such a young age. At the age of 12, when he lost his sister, Anaisha at that age was considered a baby by her family. And then his grandfather's death and the hostility of his home. Even if she tried her best, then also she could actually never understand how much pain he had to bear and still turned out to be so nice and wise.

Maybe because when people are subjected to so much pain and harshness as child, they tend to become sensitive to each and every thing that surrounds them. This same thing applies to Kabir. He had gone through so much that's why he was always so much concerned and caring towards others. He never wanted others to experience the same pain as him.

And now Annie knew why he always had inhibitions when it came to accept his love for her. He was afraid to accept her love and give me his love in exchange because he feared that like all the times, this time too he'll be the one who'll have to suffer. He thought that this time too, he'd get love and then lose it. Maybe if he had explained it to her earlier then she wouldn't have understood this.

But after knowing the reason for his fears and past demons, she could understand perfectly why he was so scared, even after they started dating, he was always scared that he'll lose her.

And there was only one way he could get over it, by bringing out that 12 years old Kabir to surface and making him face the reality. She knew he felt better after sharing all this with her but he wasn't over it yet! There were wounds which she knew she couldn't heal but someone else could surely do that! And she knew what she had to do!

Anaisha knew well whatever she was planning to do for Kabir wasn't easy and would take time to make it all work but she was ready to do anything for Kabir. And till the time she sorted out everything, she decided to pamper Kabir as much she could. She wanted to fill the voids in his life and give him as much love as she was capable of.

She loved doing all those little things for him, and knew that he loved that a lot! She wanted him to feel loved and know that she was always there for him no matter what! She oathed that she'll make him forget those painful memories and would replace them with the happy ones that they'll make together!

But her luck, due to her internship approaching its end and her hectic schedule, she had very little time for him but still she managed to spare few minutes for him though she was busy with some other things as well. She had somehow became extremely protective about him, as much as she was for her brothers and parents or even more than that! She wanted to protect him from all the pains and torment that life would throw at him because according to her, 'He had his share of pain!'

And this was why, she got into a fight with a girl who was bad mouthing about Kabir. If Kabir hadn't stopped her then she would've done something terrible to that girl! How could Sonia pass such lewd comments about Kabir? Kabir, the same guy who never crossed his limits no matter what. Who respected Annie and gave her enough space in their relationship! How could that girl pass such low comments about him? He was with for Annie for wealth as if he himself didn't have much! He was using Annie for his needs, really? If he really was doing that, then he would have gone ahead in their relationship by now! Some stupid people just couldn't stand other's happiness!

Sister Dimpy, who though wasn't very fond of Anaisha since she was Kabir's girlfriend, informed her that the same girl had once proposed Kabir who very politely refused her. So now when he was dating Anaisha, that girl couldn't help but talk rubbish about him! And then Annie lost her mind and the rest everyone know!

But she was tensed as well because there were some things that she was hiding from him....and doesn't know how to share it with him! She was unsure about his reaction. She didn't know what would he think when he'll get to know what she was doing for him. But she hoped in her heart that whether he'll be angry at her or not but he shouldn't get hurt because of her. She hoped it didn't backfire on her and he really shouldn't take this in wrong context. She didn't want to lose him to his past but at same time she wanted him to come out of it completely. And she knew who could make him let go his past for once and all!

Along with all this, she had sensed something strange in Kabir's behaviour. He seemed worried! She hoped it wasn't because of his past memories because she couldn't afford to lose him to them. So when Kabir asked her if she's free and would like to go on dinner, she said yes for it immediately!

Kabir and Anaisha had their dinner in one of Kabir's favourite restaurant and then went to his favourite place, a small park near his house. They were sitting there and eating ice-cream on Anaisha insistence when Kabir spoke breaking the silence, "Anaisha will you answer honestly if I ask you something?"

Anaisha who was busy relishing over her favourite ice-cream looked up at him with a confused look and nodded at him to go ahead with whatever he was about to ask.

He after getting her affirmative nod, continued in a nervous voice, "Don't you think I'm a little old for you? I mean look I'm six years older to you and I know sometimes you get bored with me because I don't have any idea about the stuff that you like. I know sometimes you feel like that too. I've heard people saying this that when you date someone older than you, then after sometime you get bored with them since they don't share the same interest as you. You know this thing is troubling me a lot, so will you please answer it!"

Anaisha, who was still enjoying her ice-cream, stared at Kabir with a mixture of surprise and amusement expression. He was looking like a little boy complaining about something he disliked. 'He looks absolutely adorable! So cute!'

After he finished speaking, she came out of her trance and burst into laughter. So this was the reason why he was behaving strangely. Seriously, he was worried about this?

Kabir became confused with her unexpected reaction. She instead of answering him, was laughing at him. But her laughter was so beautiful that he couldn't help but adore her. 'She's damn cute! How can someone be so adorable and admirable all the time? Well she can!' he smiled sheepishly at his own thought. He soon got lost in his La La Land and didn't notice when she stopped laughing and was looking at him with only love in her eyes.

She cupped his face with her hands, which brought him back to his senses and whispered to him lovingly, "Kabir so this is why you were acting so weirdly since last couple of weeks. Why the hell do you think our age difference will 'cause issues between us? For God's sake Kabir, age is just a number! It has nothing to do with our relationship. I love you and you love me, that's the only thing that should matter to us, nothing else than this! You think I get bored with you? Of course not Kabir! In fact I love spending my time with you. Each and every minute that I spend with you, means a lot to me Kabir. I love having you around myself!

"And what you said that you don't have any idea about the stuff that I like? If that was true then why would you get me my favourite flowers and cook my favourite dishes for me? Why would you stay up star gazing with me if you didn't know about the stuff that I liked? Look Kabir, maybe other girls of my generation likes ravishing and expensive stuff but for me these little things matter which occupies a big space in my heart! I just love being with you that's it!

"Even when we sit silently with each other na, I enjoy that silence because it means that we know each other so well that we don't need words to communicate anymore! And who said that I'll leave you. You are tied to me for life! Even when you'll get tired of me and want to leave me na then also I won't let you go so easily. I'm like superglue, if I get attached to you then no matter what happens, I won't leave you so cheer up now! Don't fill your mind with this useless stuff. Rather think about our future. Just think in few years, we'll get married, it will be so much fun na! And then we'll have a really cute family, me, you and our kids! How cute is that!"

Kabir felt sheer relief after hearing her answer. Why did he always get so worried and worked up with even a mere thought of her going away from him? Idiot! Here she think of her life with him and he, he just waste his time in this stupid stuff. But hey, Future! Marriage! Kids! She had thought this far. Cool! It's time for some teasing as it was always Kabir who got teased by her family and their friends as she was least bothered about it. But now he'll get even with her.

"Yup that's really cute! You, me and our kids, our own family! You have already thought everything about our future! But Anaisha you know na it's very hard to get kids? We'll have to do a lot of hard work for that. And if you want then we can start our practice from now on! What say baby?" he said with a smirk and winked at her. Well this side of Kabir was also a aftermath of his relationship with Anaisha. The flirty Kabir! But only his darling girlfriend was aware of this side of Kabir and was the only person Kabir flirted with! But his statement was something which made him blush too.

Six months of relationship and he hardly ever thought of physical intimacy, though they did have some very passionate moments but nothing went that ahead. Not because he didn't want it, but because he knew it was still early for them to take the next step in their relationship. As much modern and open Kabir was, he was still a man of morals and family values. He knew someday in future, it would take place but why not let it happen on its own pace and right time? Maybe this was another reason why he never showed interest in all those girls who used to throw themselves at him. But Anaisha was different as she liked the feeling of relationship and he didn't want to rush rather he wanted to take everything slowly and at its right speed!

Anaisha blushed after hearing what he said. Sometimes she too craved for him in that sense but it was not supposed to happen because like Kabir, she too didn't want to rush in their relationship and wanted to enjoy each and every moment of theirs, together. And even now, she knew that Kabir was just teasing her. So she gave him a sly grin and said agreeingly, "You are right Kabir, we should start practicing now!"

Kabir's smile faded after hearing her response. He thought maybe she'll blush and get shy but here she was telling him to start with practice. 'What the hell?' He replied stammeringly, "Wh...What? Anaisha you know what you are saying? How can we do it now?"

Anaisha smiled cutely at him and said innocently, "I know what I'm saying Kabir. It's not easy to get kids. So for that you need to be experienced na? That's why from tomorrow onwards you change your speciality from cardio-surgery to paediatrics. You know if you start handling kids from now on then it will be helpful for you and you'll be able to get kids and understand them, right?" Saying so she ended up in splits! Poor Kabir! 'And I thought I could tease her!'

Anaisha's laughed harder when she saw his dumbfounded expression. She knew what he meant but how can she let him tease her? So she twisted his statement to suit herself.

Kabir was in a foot in mouth situation. He thought she'll become shy but here she was poking fun at him. But he too joined her in laughing!

They both knew how hard it was for them to keep their craving in control! But they don't want to do something which they'll regret later. So Anaisha quickly changed the topic and they kept on talking about different things.

"But jokes apart Anaisha, I want to ask you something. You're happy with me na?" Kabir asked her while driving his car.

Anaisha gave him, her ear-to-ear grin and muttered softly, "Of course Kabir, I'm really happy with you. You mean the world to me! I love you more than my life!"

Kabir replied, "I love you too!"

Then suddenly Kabir remembered something and asked Anaisha in a serious yet distressed tone, "Anaisha you're internship is ending in two weeks, so what about your PG? I remember you told me during the earlier months of your internship that you'll be getting scholarship. So did it's result came out? I mean will you have to go back to America for your PG?"

With the change in Kabir's tone from cheerful to serious, Anaisha knew that he was about to ask her something related to her studies. And she was correct! She looked here and there and fidget with her dress. She didn't know what to tell him, whether the truth or a lie. She looked at him, who though was concentrating on driving his car but was eagerly waiting for her answer.

She pursed her lips together and took a deep breathe before answering him. "Umm no Kabir. I don't know yet. Dr. Rai hadn't informed us anything about the scholarship. Maybe he'll do that later. Do you know anything about it?" Saying this, Anaisha hoped against hope that he wasn't aware of anything about her scholarship because if he did then she knew she was in trouble!

"No I don't anything about it. All I know is that Dr. Rai and your uncle are the only people who know about this. Maybe they'll inform you guys about it before your final exams because during my internship too we were informed at the end only. Anyway it'll good..." He was going to complete that but just then Anaisha received a call from Zaina and she thanked her best friend in her heart. Thank God Zaina called on time otherwise she knew what Kabir would've said next. God bless her bestie as today unknowingly she saved her a trouble!

Seeing her talk on phone, Kabir focussed back on driving and thought to ask her later about her decision of going back to US for her post graduation as his this question was still left unanswered.

After around fifteen minutes drive, Kabir dropped her to her home and waited till she went inside. He drove to his place then. When he entered his house, he saw his dad sitting in the living area. Since his dad was busy reading a health magazine, Kabir quietly moved towards his room. He was just climbing the stairs when his dad called him.

If things would've been like earlier then maybe Kabir would've gotten irked with his dad for calling him but since Anaisha came into his life and he shared his feelings with her, he somehow felt less angry towards his parents. She had told him some few weeks back what his parents told her when she came for dinner to their house. At first he couldn't believe it but then the way she made him understand that no matter what, his parents loved him, he somewhat felt better!

He moved towards his dad and asked him, "What happened Dad? You need anything?"

His dad smiled weakly at him and said, "When I call you Kabir, it doesn't mean I need anything. Like right now, I would love it if you could sit with me and have coffee with me. And you know talk about usual stuff. If you're not free than its okay!"

When his dad asked him to sit with him and have coffee, Kabir didn't know why but he felt really happy, as if the little kid in him was getting this unknown happiness which he always wanted since his childhood. Though Kabir always behaved as if he never cared for his parents or disliked them but the truth was, he loved them, that too a lot! He never made it obvious but once in a while he used to check on them without them knowing it.

He did cared for them and was extremely scared of losing them as after Samyra and his granddad died, his parents and GM were only left with him and as much as he deny but his parents' presence around him, did mattered to him! At least they were with him, in front of him. Though their bitter and hatred filled fights was something he disliked a lot but he couldn't deny that it was their way of showing their pain which they both were hiding inside their hearts but only if they had realized that how much that hurts him!

He gave his father a nod and replied to him politely with a smile on his face, "No, I'm free right now. I'll just go and change my clothes and then come downstairs!"

He merrily went to his room and changed his clothes and again went downstairs. But when he went downstairs he saw his mother as well was sitting there with his dad. He became sad because he thought, Oh no! Mom and dad sitting together! He thought they might again end up fighting but they didn't look like that. Instead they looked happy. A bit like a happily married couple in their wedding album! It was really strange! Only if Kabir, what he was going to know next would be even more surprising and astonishing for him!

He went there and sat beside his mother, who gave him a smile and passed him his coffee. They were silently sipping their coffee when Karan broke the ice, "So how's your relationship with Anaisha going?"

Karan asked Kabir about his relationship just because he didn't had any other topic to talk about. He was such an unfortunate father, that after the death of his daughter, he had completely forgotten about his son! His son who needed him as much as any child needed his parents! But he because of his callousness, screwed his relationship with his own son! He so wanted to change their past and fill his son's life with all the happiness he had but he didn't know how.

All these years after Samyra's death, he kept himself busy in his work and career and hardly ever gave any time to Kabir or his house. He knew he was wrong, he was a coward! He knew he kept on running away from his troubles instead of solving them and making amends. He knew he was wrong, not just wrong but very wrong and careless towards his son. Apart from providing Kabir with financial security, he never fulfilled any other fatherly duty that he should've did. But alas he didn't! And he was guilty for this, for being a failure to his son and not being there for him.

But his relationship with his son was not the only relationship he ruined. His relationship with his wife, his kids' mother, Shilpa to whom he promised a paradise of love and happiness but couldn't stick with it because of his own foolishness and pride. Being too full of himself and his orthodox mentality, he tried to restrict her and control her life, which made her go away from him.

He loved her, always but couldn't give her the space and freedom she deserved in their marriage which made her repel and move away from him. But even after all this he couldn't bring his manly pride and ego down and since years lived with the guilt of ruining his family and regrets which he couldn't let go of.

Kabir had mixed emotions when Karan asked him about his relationship. On one hand, he felt awkward and on the other he felt happy. Happy that finally his father was taking interest in his life and was eager to know about him. He looked at his parents who were eagerly waiting for his answer. He had noticed some changes in his parents, like their fights have reduced a bit. They still fought but it was a little less bitter than before. And he was grateful for that. Somehow his life was becoming the way he wanted it to be, atleast in a way!

"It's going good. She's really a gem of a person! It's my luck that she came into my life!" Kabir said with a sweet smile playing on his lips.

Shilpa's heart bloomed seeing her son so happy. True, she had ruined her relationship with him and Karan and she couldn't change it! She'd been a really careless and irresponsible mother and wife. And she knew that somewhere she's more at fault than Karan. She was Samyra and Kabir's mother, it was her responsibility to look after kids and take care of them but what she did, she just to prove her husband wrong, completely forgot about her kids and left them under their grandparents' care, just so that she could focus on her work and achieve more in her career.

She never realised her real prizes were her kids and her biggest achievement was being a mother, but only if she had understood that. She too love Karan but never could make herself accept his advises because of her ego. She was wrong and irresponsible when she left her little daughter at home to go for her work, knowing well that her daughter used to always fall ill easily. She was too blinded with her thirst for achieving more in her life that she neglected her family and kids, who needed her so much. Even after Samyra's death, she couldn't bring herself to admit that it was her fault.

Karan was at fault for sure for he tried to control her life but she was no less responsible than him because in her attempt to prove herself right, she ended up ruining her family and losing her little daughter. And even after losing her daughter, she neglected her son, who she knew suffered a lot without any of his mistakes. A mother is always there for her child but Shilpa, she was too busy dealing with her own issues that she hardly ever played the perfect mother to Kabir. Like Karan, she too was guilty and filled with regrets but didn't know how to let these go!

"That's really nice Beta! Anaisha is really a nice girl and I hope you guys stay together always!" Shilpa said lovingly. She looked at Karan who was as hesitant as her. They needed to talk to him about something important but didn't know how to start.

So she signaled Karan to speak. He was hesitant but still said, "Umm...Kabir, we need to talk to you about something. Wo...actually, me and your mom have decided to sort out our issues with each other! I know this is weird for you. But it's much weirder for us. I know we both have been terrible parents to you. We never really gave you any happiness and joy. We both were so engrossed in our own world that we forgot about you! We were so busy in achieving our aims that we forgot our real prizes were you and Samyra! It was our mistake that we lost her. And now we are really ashamed for our behaviour. What we have done doesn't deserve forgiveness from you but we still hope you would forgive us and give us one last chance to make things right in our lives!" He stopped speaking because he couldn't speak anymore due to his tears and the lump in his throat.

Shilpa rubbed his arm and continued where he left, "I know Kabir, we have never been like all those normal parents, to you and no matter what explanation we give, we can't justify ourselves right. We were very wrong when instead of supporting, we blamed and accused each other for Samyra's death and all the things that happened in our lives. We not even once thought about you or your loss. I know we are not only horrible parents but are also terrible human beings. But Kabir you are our son, our child, and we both love you. Its just that we didn't know how to bring ourselves to accept our mistakes and ask you forgiveness.

"But finally God sent an angel to help us out. I know what you must be wondering, how all of a sudden we both had change of hearts? But all the credit for this goes to Anaisha. If not for her then maybe we wouldn't have realized it completely how wrong we both were! I know you have no idea about all this but actually, since last three months, she had been in contact with us and it's because of her that we realized how horrible mistakes we both have committed! She was like an eye opener for us. I really wish if she could've entered our lives earlier but still even now it's okay."

Shilpa said and broke into tears. Karan too was crying. They both then narrated Kabir the entire conversation which they had with Annie almost three months ago.....

After the day Kabir confessed about his tormented past to Anaisha, she knew there was one more side of this story which Kabir wasn't aware of! His parents side of story! She knew his parents were wrong and their actions couldn't be justified at all but she had seen this guilt and pain in their eyes which made her believe that things weren't exactly like they were shown to Kabir. And her doubts were confirmed when she approached his parents individually.

From talking with his parents about their equation with Kabir, whatever she got to know, she was sure of one thing, they both wanted to repent their mistakes but didn't know how to do that. So with GM's help and a lot of convincing, she made his parents meet her together in their house when Kabir was not in Delhi for four days as he had gone for a medical conference. Anaisha knew well that making his parents talk about their issues at the same time won't be easy but this was the only way to begin her task of uniting the Thapar family!

Karan and Shilpa both shot each other glares as they saw each other. They got themselves seated in the couches kept farthest from each other. Anaisha and GM had to settle on the sofa kept between these two. Once they all were settled, Anaisha said awkwardly, "I guess you both know uncle, aunty why me and GM have called you both here. So without wasting even a minutes let's start our conversation. Let's start with you aunty, according to you what was the reason for your failed marriage?"

As soon as Shilpa heard Anaisha's question, she looked up and was about to answer when Karan interrupted her by saying, "Anaisha you're asking her the reason for our unsuccessful marriage when she's the only reason why our marriage never worked! Her selfishness and self-centered mindset was the main reason for our failed relationship."

Anaisha slapped her forehead with her palm and tried to speak but this time Shilpa spoke infuriated by Karan's remark, "Wow! I was the reason for our failed marriage? Great haan Karan! Someone should learn from you how to hide their mistakes and put the blame on others. This quality of yours is so remarkable that you know you should get an award for it." And so their fight went on and on like usual. They both weren't even bothered that it was Anaisha not Kabir who was witnessing their fights!

GM looked helplessly at Anaisha who was getting highly irked with their fight. GM had told her about Karan and Shilpa's fights but she never expected it to be like this! She waited for ten minutes for them to stop on their own but when they didn't, well then the Arnav in Anaisha finally roared leaving her dear boyfriend's parents quiet!

"Enough both of you! Is this the way you behave with each other when Kabir's around? What kind of people are you? What kind of impact you both leave on your son with these bitter and useless fights of yours? Do you even know much he had suffered because of you both? Do you even know how much pain you both have inflicted on Kabir without any of his fault? Do you know how much hurt and tormented he has been after Samyra's death? Do you even know how much scared he is of relationships and love because of you both and your troubled marriage? Did you both have even realized that you made your son grew up so fast that he couldn't even mourn over his sister's death properly and because of which he is still suffering?

"The answer for all my questions is 'NO', I know that well now. I was wrong that I thought that you both love your son and are guilty for your mistakes because honestly after seeing you both fight like this, I'm sure you guys are just way too selfish and egoistic to even accept your faults and repent them for your son, at least just once in your life. You guys show that you love your son but you don't actually, I guess that's another way for you two to get sympathy from others. You both are just too engrossed in pitying over yourself that you can't even see your own son's wounds! Is this how parents are, immature, conceited and callous? I swear if my parents were like you both, I would've ran away leaving you behind.

"But Kabir, he stayed back with you two even after all the things you both have done not because it was compulsion for him but because he knew you both needed him after Samyra's death, even when you didn't say this to him. He kept living in this hell with you both because he loves you guys and cares for you. He took care of you guys without ever making it obvious but you both were just too blinded by your pain, were busy making each other look inferior and mourning over how painful your lives are, when the truth is it's Kabir whose life is hardest because he couldn't even go up to someone and share about his problem which at least would've decreased his pain a bit, he rather kept it all bottled up for so many years.

"Your son has always been the perfect son but you guys are so blind to even acknowledge that fact and do something for him or your daughter, who wherever she might be, must be so heartbroken to see her family like this! I'm sorry for being so disrespectful and rude but I couldn't hold myself. Very sorry for wasting your time and thinking that I could help you guys mend your broken relationships!"

Saying so Anaisha left from there with tears flowing from her eyes. She wasn't crying because of what she had experienced here but because of the feeling of failure and helplessness.

After Anaisha left, GM too left for her room, upset and disappointed as she knew that Anaisha would fail in doing this because she knew her son and daughter-in-law well. But in her heart she was happy that Kabir had found his soulmate finally who was so much in love with him!

As Anaisha left, Karan and Shilpa just sat glued to their seats, with Anaisha's words repeating in their minds. Anaisha's outrage was unexpected for both of them because they never thought her to be aware of their family's past but both of them couldn't deny what she said was right. All these years they both kept crying over their own pains and wounds and never were bothered once to know about Kabir and his injuries which they had given him. Not once they tried to comfort him or each other after Samyra's death.

Though they both had guilt in their hearts but never once tried to mend their relationship with Kabir and ease his pain. Anaisha was right, absolutely right that they were just too blind to see their own son's sufferings. They told her that they accept their mistakes and wanted to repent but they couldn't even try doing that because of their bruised egos. Like Anaisha said, Kabir was a perfect son, he stayed with them even though they both kept on increasing his wounds but never once did he showed it. He used to talk coldly with them but never left their questions unanswered like they have done.

He checked on them regularly because he cared and they knew that but couldn't appreciate his gestures. They were wrong, all along, right from the start but they were more hurt now because even after being Kabir's parents they never cared for him as much as this girl, Anaisha did for him, who dared to show them their mistakes and open their eyes which they have kept closed for so long to avoid getting hurt because of their own faults. They both, for the first time were angry on their own selves for being so selfish and insensible!

Karan looked at Shilpa, who in turn was looking at him with tearful eyes. Tears started falling from Karan's eyes seeing Shilpa cry and they both after 16 years finally accepted that they were wrong as hell and were equally responsible for their daughter's death and their broken family! They both sat next to each other, crying and apologizing to each other for all their misdeeds. They have realised their mistakes some years back but those mistakes were the ones they made to Kabir not to each other.

And that was why they couldn't repent their mistakes because as much wrong they both were to Kabir, they hurt each other as well and unless and until they won't apologise to each first then they couldn't ask their sons forgiveness. They knew it was the right time now to be courageous and repent their mistakes, though they knew it was not easy but they made up their mind to make it all right this time and knew only Anaisha was capable of helping them after all she understood Kabir better than anyone!

After two days of this incident, they called Anaisha over to their house, though she was hesitant to come but agreed on sensing difference in their approach. Anaisha was sitting on the couch opposite Karan and Shilpa, who took deep breaths and convinced themselves not to back off.

Shilpa gazed at the floor and then spoke in a weak voice,"You asked us that day na Anaisha, why our marriage fell apart? I'm very sorry for not being able to answer it that day but I guess in a way that was right because that day the answer would've been incorrect as till that day I was that old Shilpa who used to just think about herself. Anyway getting back to the question, our marriage didn't fell apart not because of lack of love, since we did loved each and actually still do, our marriage fell apart because.."

She couldn't continue it as tears flowed from her eyes and Karan sensing her condition, resumed from where she stopped, "Because we weren't able to make compromises, adjustments and suppress our egos. When we got married, we were really in love with each other, you know truly in love but our different personalities and approach towards life made us so distanced from each other that we just, we just kept running away from each other because it pained both of us to see our marriage fail like that. You know when Kabir was born, it was the best day for us but we couldn't cherish him because of our immaturity and selfishness. Not just him but Samyra, we both are equally responsible for what happened with her. Crying over our own strained relationship, we ignored our kids who needed us and our time.

"Samyra would've been alive if we had paid more attention to our family by subsiding our careers and ego. But we couldn't do that in our arrogance and that's why fate took Samyra away from us and we were so stupid to even push our own son away from ourselves. We accept now that we made Kabir suffer so much without his fault and that's an unforgivable crime! But we are grateful to you for making us realise how wrong we both have been all this time. I know we can't make anything right now with Kabir, with what face will we ask him to give us another chance? And it's better for him only that he stays away from us, at least that would make him not suffer more because of us. Thank you so much Beta for what you tried to do for us but it's too late for us to make things right with Kabir!"

Anaisha looked at them with shock! She never thought that her outrage would actually make Karan and Shilpa realise their mistakes! But she was happy! She kneeled down in front of them and pleaded, "Uncle, aunty, it's never to late to begin again! You guys realised your mistakes that's the first step towards making everything right! Please don't be pessimistic now! Please don't give up before even trying! Kabir love you guys, I know he does. That 12-year-old Kabir is still yearning for his parent's love and affection, please let him have it.

"I know you guys think that you have always hurt him but try to see it in this way, he has many wounds, some he can heal but some aren't his to cure. Those wounds are inflicted by you two, and only you two can cure them. Not me, Kabir or anybody else but you guys! I know this won't bring Samyra back but at least it would make your and him feel better and give him the courage to let go of his past! Please uncle, aunty once, try it! And I know Kabir, he'll give you another chance but please don't let him down when he give you a chance. Please help me in making his life like how he wanted it to be! Please! Pretty please!"

Karan and Shilpa though were skeptical about it but finally after a lot of pestering agreed to ask forgiveness from Kabir but before that they wanted to make amends with each other and their past!

Kabir sat shocked with what his parents were saying! Anaisha was in touch with his parents and not only this; she was trying to mend his broken relations! His parents were asking him forgiveness! His parents were ready to forgive each other and make agreed so fresh start! What was happening in his life? His girlfriend of 6 months was doing all this under his nose and he had no idea about it? This was why she was a bit busy and always seemed anxious!

This was why she didn't want to go out with him on his birthday so that he could spend it with his parents! This was the reason why his parents' fights reduced! This was the reason why his parents who always forgot his birthday, not only wished him but even gave him gifts and had dinner with him! This was why his parents were being a little more in home! This was why his parents were seemed closer and happy! This was why he felt his family was becoming like a normal family!

And the person behind this was Anaisha! He never in his dreams thought that she'll do much for him! For him? What good did he have done in his previous life that he got her? How couuld someone love him so much to do this much for him? He really couldn't express how much fortunate he felt! She was doing all these for him and he, he always feared she would leave him? Was he really this much lucky or was it all a dream?

But he knew it was real! This was all real, his wishes were coming true because of Anaisha! He was thinking all these that he didn't notice when tears made their way down his cheeks. He was crying along with his parents!

He stood up from his place and went towards his parents and hugged them. He hugged them really tight and they too hugged him back with equal force! He knew if he didn't accept his parents back in his life after what all Anaisha did to make it all possible then that would be disrespectful towards her and her love. And he knew this would finally make him let go of his past, for once and all!

GM stood near the staircase and looked at her family, who after so many years were actually looking like a family! She thanked God for sending Anaisha in their lives and prayed for her well-being and happiness!

Kabir broke the hug and kneeled down in front of his parents. He held their hand and said in a broken voice, "I forgive you both! I forgive you both! I never expected this to ever happen! I'm really happy and grateful for this! I really am! Please but don't make me regret forgiving you both! Please!" Saying so he again hugged his parents. He parents hugged him back too promising in their hearts to never let him down again.

And at last, what Anaisha was trying to do happened, the 12 years old child in him finally came out from his hideout, enjoyed his parent's love and warmth and was ready to grow up. Finally his past was ready to let him go because his wounds would now get healed as his parents were with him. Opening up to Anaisha made him feel better but forgiving his parents made his heart to finally be ready to get healed because his parent's forgiveness was an assurance for his heart that his wounds would get cured now.

He looked at his GM who was still standing near the staircase. He went towards her and gave her a big hug out of his happiness. His parents looked at each other and smiled. The entire Thapar family was on their way to become a family again and they knew it would surely happen this time! They sat and chatted after a really, really long time.

His parents told him that they were still to sort their issues and since the gap between them was so long that it would take a lot of time to finally fill it and till then he has to bear their fights! But they assured him that they will do it this time and promised him that this time things won't fall apart!

Kabir's heart was fluttered by Anaisha's gestures. He was indebted to her for life! His parents told him how lucky he was to have her in his life and they made him promise that he would never ever leave her and will always keep her happy. He happily promised them!

He fell in love with her all over again after knowing how well she understood him! She observed him so well and did whatever was in might to make his life better. He's damn lucky and now knew that he was bound to face so much pain because an angel named Anaisha was supposed to enter his life to soothe his pain!

They kept talking past midnight. Mostly it was Kabir who was talking, though he wasn't someone who talked so much and frankly he was a better listener but there were so many things which he wanted to share with his parents. He told them about his life in college, his work, his hobbies and everything he wanted to talk about. His parents too were listening to him very keenly.

They told him how they always wanted to talk to him but because of their guilt they couldn't do that! But when Anaisha convinced them, though it took them time but still they finally prepared themselves to forget their past and make a fresh new start! She had told them that though their guilt won't bring Samyra back but at least they could give Kabir the happiness he deserved, and Samyra too will be happy to see her family together and happy!

After two months of regular conversations, they both agreed and that's why they finally decided to make a fresh start! Though even now they had a small fight but they all knew it won't break them apart. After talking for over four hours, everyone retired to their rooms! His parents finally felt that a big burden was removed off their chests. They would always be thankful to Anaisha who encouraged them to reconcile and once again become a happy family!

Kabir was lying on his bed with eyes wide open! Sleep was far away from him today! What happened today was too good to be true! He felt like the luckiest man in this world! His family was becoming a family again and that too because of his girlfriend's efforts. She had made this otherwise impossible task possible. How unfortunate he would've been if he hadn't returned that day from the airport! 'Thank God! That day you heard me! Or else you would've regretted your decision later!' said his always righteous heart!

While thinking about the evening's event, he realised that she really was his 'Wonderwall' because if not for her than he would've lost himself to his melancholy and grief. It was her who brought him back to life from that dark hole where he was hiding. He never thought, the girl who he had known only for a year (because when she was a kid, he wasn't really close to her) and was dating for six months, would do so much for him! She loved him more than he ever thought! Her love for him was evident from her actions!

He felt like Kate Winslet aka Rose of Titanic. Who said only girls watch romantic movies? He too was in a similar situation as Rose, not exactly same but still he was. And like what she said in the movie for Jack, he could say the same for Anaisha. She saved him in every possible way a person can be saved! A bit cliché but he didn't care! He'll be damned if he ever hurt her. He took an oath to forever keep her happy. His Wonderwall!

Here Kabir was happy with his life but on the other hand Anaisha was going through a rough phase, she doesn't what she should do! Her inner turmoil was getting more and more complicated and she doesn't know how to solve it! She had lied to him about her PG because she knew what would he say but she didn't have the heart to take his answer! Her heart wanted to stay with him, never leaving his side for a minute! But....!
