I wanted to post something but this chapter isn't finished, so here is a little preview:

Annabeth POV:

"Do you think I should buy this?" 

"Huh?" I said, breaking my train of thought and turning to look at her. 

"This." Piper held up a tube of lipgloss. 

"Why do I care?" I said.

"I don't care either. You were just ignoring me," she said, crossing her arms. 

"Sorry Piper. I was just distracted," I said, as the checkout line moved forward.

"By who?" She said, raising her eyebrow.

"How do you know it's a who and not an it?" I said. 

"So you were distracted by lip gloss and teen magazines?" Piper said. 

"No. It was the nalpolish." 

"Now I know you're lying. Tell me, Annie." She said sweeping her arm across the store. "Which one of these strangers has caught your eye?"

I sighed, knowing I wasn't going to get out of this. "Black sweatshirt, 2nd checkout counter, black hair."

Piper looked until she found him.

"Oh, he's cute," she said. I rolled my eyes. "Ooooo! Annie has a crush!!!" she said, poking my arm.

"I do not! I don't know him! He's an obnoxious stranger I ran into at the pizza shop one night and he just so happens to be here." 

"Oh my gods, you do like him!" Piper said. "Last time you had a crush on someone you called them obnoxious and rolled your eyes on him!" 

"Piper! I ran into him once, he was rude, and now here he is again! I don't like him." I said. 

"Fine. He has the most beautiful brown eyes though." 

"His eyes aren't brown! They are a beautiful seagreen and look like the ocean is swirling around in them!" I said indignantly. 

"You know his eye color! And you're describing him in a poetic way! It is sooo meant to be!!!" Piper squealed. 

"Piper! I don't like him! I don't know him! You're hopeless romantic side is really coming out today." I said. Piper didn't care about looks or other stuff classified as "girly" but she was a hopeless romantic and shipped everyone. 

"Fiiiine," she said, rolling her eyes. Her face lit up. "Imagine he's one of the new kids at Seaside!"
