A Few Minutes Earlier

As Sarah gets onto the high way everything goes wrong. Out of nowhere a big truck comes and smashes into her car. It happen so fast she didn't have time to grab Anna or Bryanna. The car flipped over and started rolling down a hill. The windows where all smash and the car was upside down. There was glass all over the place. "Mo-mo- Mommy" Anna managed to say. Sarah was out cold and her breathing very slow. "Bry- Bryanna" Anna said faintly. Bryanna started to cry and that was the last thing Anna heard.

Now

Anna is out cold and can't hear anything. Bryanna is still crying and Sarah's breathing has gotten weaker. The cops showed up and the ambulance. A crowd of people have gathered around the crash. "There's a baby!" A cop yells seeing Bryanna. The paramedics great to Bryanna and get her out first. She had deep cuts on her arms and legs from the glass. Her clothes are all torn and there's a cut going across her eye. The paramedics take Bryanna to the ambulance and start to exam her. The rest of the people start looking for other people. "I found another child, she looks three or four!" A random person yells. They cut the seatbelt. So they can get Anna out. As they go to pull her, a person sees something. "STOP!" He yells. Everyone stops pulling and let's go. "What is it?" A lady cop ask. "There's a huge piece of glass stuck in her leg" the man said. "We have to get her out" the lady cop yells. "If we remove her, she'll bleed out" a doctor yells. "If we don't remove her, she'll die" another person yells. "She has a 50% chance to live if we remove her out now" a doctor yells. "Let's get her out" a cop yells. They all grab hold of Anna and get ready to pull her out. A group of people remove the glass and then pull her very fast. Anna is gushing blood out of her leg and may not live. The doctors put oxygen on her and start trying to stop the bleeding. Once the bleeding stops they take Anna and Bryanna to the hospital.

Anna had to have surgery and since they don't know of any family members or who she is, they have to do the surgery without family consent. Bryanna gets taken to the nursery and is checked out there. Sarah is still in the car. The doctors and cops are trying to get her out and save her life. Sarah has a piece of glass stuck in her stomach and a piece in her chest. "Is she still alive?" A cop ask. Someone feels her neck for a plus, "she's alive" the person said. "Well let's get her out" the cop said. "On three" a doctor said. They count to three and Sarah is removed from the car. They rush her to the hospital and check her pockets for her name and the girls names. One of the doctors finds her wallet in her back pocket. "Her name is Sarah Marie Rinkevich" the doctor said. "How old is she?" The doctor partner ask. "She's only 27" the doctor said. The doctor looks in her wallet for any information on Sarah and her family. Nothing, but pictures of Anna when she was 1-3 and a picture of Bryanna.

Once they arrive at the hospital, Sarah is rush to a CT scene and then to surgery. "She's very lucky" dr Thomas said. "She's lucky the glass is right above her heart" his assistant said. They get started with the surgery as quick as they can. Sarah doesn't have much time left. Anna is still in surgery and it's not looking to good. She lost a lot of blood and the glass hit a vein in her leg. Bryanna is fine, besides for the concussion and the cold she has. At the scene of the crash, some people look for anything to tell who Sarah, Anna, and Bryanna are. "I found something!" A random person yells. Everyone runs over to the girl. "The two little girls are Anna Megan Rinkevich- James and Bryanna Crystal Rinkevich, ages 3 and 4 weeks" the girl said. They tell the cop and then keep looking for information. A couple seconds later and they find Sarah phone. It was still in working conditions and didn't have a password. Finally they are able to call Bryan, Erick, Cheyenne, Morgan, and Veronica.

The cops contacts the hospital and give them all the information. When the nurse gets off the phone with the cop, she calls Bryan. "Hello" Bryan said answering his phone. "Is this Bryan Rinkevich?" The nurse ask. "Yes, who is this?" He said. "I'm a nurse at Geisinger hospital, your daughter Sarah and grandchildren have been in a car accident" the nurse explain. Bryan just dropped his phone and rushed to the hospital. When he got there he ask the nurse at the front desk where Sarah and the girls are. He is a complete mess. "Sir, please calm down" the nurse told him. As he's talking to the nurse, Erick, Julie, and Fernando show up. "Dad!" Erick yells going over to Bryan. They hug each other tight. "I just found out, I saw it on the news" Erick said. "I got a call" Bryan said. "How's my sister and her children?" Erick ask grabbing Fernando hand. "Your sister is in surgery, so is her daughter Anna, and Bryanna is in the nursery" the nurse explain. They all go sit in the waiting room. "Call cheyenne and Veronica" Bryan said getting up and walking away. Erick gets his phone out and calls Cheyenne.  Bryan goes to the nursery and looks at Bryanna. He goes in and picks her up. As he's holding her, he's crying.

   Hours pass and Sarah and Anna are still in surgery. Times running out for the both of them. Cheyenne, Veronica, and Emma have showed up at the hospital. Their all on edge and are all freaking out. As they are all sitting on silents waiting for some news, a doctor comes out. "Which one of you is Anna's Dad?" The doctor ask. "Anna doesn't have a Dad, she has two moms" Veronica said standing up. "Who's her other mom?" The doctor ask. "I am" Veronica said. "Can I talk to you in private?" The doctor ask. Veronica nods and follows the doctor. "I'm doctor Gorham, Anna is out of surgery" dr. Gorham said. "Is she okay?" Veronica ask with a little quiver. "Your daughter is in a coma" dr. Gorham said very bluntly. Veronica is shocked in how blunt she is. "Do you think she'll wake up?" Veronica ask trying not to cry. "There's a 50% chance she will and a 50% chance she won't" dr. Gorham said. "Can I see her?" She ask. "Yes, I'll show you and your family to her room" dr Gorham said. Veronica nods and went to get everyone. They all follow the doctor to Anna room. Veronica holds Anna hand and the rest gather around her and cry. It's heartbreaking to see Anna the way she is.

   Sarah is finally out of surgery. Dr. Thomas goes into Anna room and asks to talk to Bryan alone. "Sarah is out of surgery, but she's in a coma" dr Thomas said. "Will she wake up" Bryan asks with a tear running down his cheek. "I don't know, she had a piece of glass almost hit her heart and it hit a lung" he explain. Bryan stands there taking in what he just heard. "It only made a small hole in her lung and we managed to fix it" he explain to Bryan. "She has to wake up, she's a mother, I want to see her" Bryan said with tears running down his face. "Come with me" Dr. Thomas said. He takes Bryan to Sarah and then go gets the rest. They all crowd around her and cry just like they did for Anna. It's heartbreaking to see Sarah and Anna both half dead.

   Hours pass with no sign of either one waking up. Julie, Veronica, Emma, and Fernando all went home. Erick, Bryan, Cheyenne, and Bryanna are still at the hospital. The doctors and nurses where very nice enough to put Anna in the same room with Sarah, so the family could be together. Bryanna is able to go home, since she easing hurt by the crash much. She's going be living with Bryan until Sarah wakes up, if Sarah wakes up. Erick fell asleep on a chair across from Anna and so did Cheyenne. Bryan is still up holding Bryanna. He's starting to fall asleep, but as soon as his eyes close, a monitor started beeping. He jumps and see that  Sarah has just flatline. Her heart stopped beating.

               Cliffhanger!!! What will happen next? Will Sarah live or will she die?
