I went to the courtyard and waited... but he never showed up, but instead there was another guy.

He sat down by the fountain, close to me, he hand brown hair, green eyes and light colored skin. He moved closer to me. "Hi, I'm Zac, are you waiting for someone?" he said. 
"Actually yes, my name is Mackenzie, call me MK Mack, or Kenzie." I turned to face him and he set his back pack down. I did the same with my bag and looked into his jade green eyes. He returned my stare and turned his head to the fountain.
"Who are you waiting for?" He watched people walk by, he seemed to be studying them.
"I'm waiting for Jason." I said and looked at the garden.
He looked at me surprised. "Jason? really? Surly a smart girl like you wouldn't be friends with him."
I was shocked, I didn't know if this guy had a grudge on Jason, or if he just knew it was not the best idea to go with him. "Why? I met him this morning."
"Oh... you must be new." He looked back at me in the eyes. "I wouldn't hang around him too much, unless you want to be cheated on and dumped."
My eyes opened wide. "He's a cheater? I'm guessing he isn't very smart."
"He isn't, he was my friend before, but he dumped me to be with some girls." he sighed sadly.

I felt sorry for the guy, I couldn't believe such a nice guy was actually so mean. I thought for awhile and stood up. I gathered my things and tapped Zac on the shoulder. "Why don't you come with me? I'm going to go get some fro-yo, if you want you can come."
He nodded and picked his back pack up and slung it over his shoulder. "Let's go." He started walking down the path and I followed. He headed to a bike rack and unlocked a bike from it. I did the same with my bike. "Mack are you ready to ride?" He said while putting his helmet on.
"Let's go." I said with strength in my voice. "Ready." I got on my bike and started down the sidewalk. I hurried down the road with Zac trailing behind me.

We stopped and got some fro-yo, we sat down at a table for 2 and we ate for awhile in silence. We looked around and finally I broke the silence.
"So... how long have you been going to West Wood Junior High?" I asked.
He thought for awhile, probably counting how many years. "Since Grade 6, when Junior High School started." he finished his fro-yo and threw it away. "Well, it's already 4, we should probably be going."
I got up and threw my fro-yo away. "Thanks by the way, it was nice of you to stay with me." I gathered my books and put them in my bike's basket, and I put my bag on my shoulder.
"Oh, it was nothing really." Zac got up, he picked up his back pack and swung it over his shoulder. "Well I'll be going, I hope to meet you again sometime." He hopped on his bike getting ready to leave.
"Zac, meet me at the bleachers for lunch tomorrow?" I said as I got on my bike getting ready to go in the opposite direction.
"Sure, see you tomorrow." With that Zac left and I headed down the road just when it started to rain.

I hurried to get home. I reached my townhouse just before it started to pour. I wiped the rain off my forehead. "Thank goodness it wasn't raining hard." I parked my bike and took my key out to unlocked the door. I took my sneakers off and I put my coat on it's rack.
"Hi mom." I said when I walked into the living room. "Are you feeling any better?" I looked around and noticed someone else was here, she had brunette hair in a messy bun, sea blue eyes that seemed to pierce through me, a dark blue dress on and a black collar on. She smiled showing most of her pearly white teeth.
My mother was sitting on a chair, with her dark brown hair in her usual ponytail, her hazel brown eyes looking into mine,  with black leggings and a long sleeved shirt, which was not normal. "Clarisse, this is my daughter Mackenzie." she said beckoning me over.
"Well, I should've known, you 2 look so alike." she sat straighter and smiled.
I walked to my mom and stood beside her. "Hi, um... well I should probably leave you 2 alone, I'll be up in my room if you need me." I walked to the kitchen and got myself a bottle of iced tea and headed upstairs with my books and bag.
