A/N: Ok new story this is not based of any fandom really just an idea I got. Enjoy! (Don't Own picture above, But if you want to invision farm here ya go.)

It was a normal day.

 I lay on my back, dog curled up at my side on a grass-covered hill. I watch the clouds giving each of them a name. Having conversations with them.

You might think I'm crazy. Most do. 

But honestly i'm just like all the uppers. They have abilities. Most of us lows don't have any. But there is at least five in every generation. 

My 13th birthday is coming up in a few days. This is when I will be tested. If you don't have an ability you get sent home a single copper coin in your hand. If you do... Well we don't know what happens to them. We never see them again.

Both of my older brothers got sent home. Mother says that we were lucky neither of them went.

I don't necessarily know my ability yet. But I know I have one. My dog, Fern, growls words in her throat to me. The wind whispers in my ears. And the clouds drop words heavily.

I haven't heard of this ability before. And i've studied them all. Seers. Shifters. Flares. Frosts. Breezes. Animi. Manus.

I used to think I was an Animi. Because the sheep would baa to me their complaints in their quiving voices. But now with the 

Sheep are annoying.

Now I hear the bell. The bell my mother rings when it's time to eat.

Better get in there. Only 2 more days till my Testing. 

I can't wait..?
