Neko barely heard him. She was outraged that he lead the hunters. He had let her village, her house, and Sensei burn and die just to find her. She wanted to get her knife and slit his throat or become a cat and bite him or something. She decided to go with the cat option. She jumped at him and halfway there transformed into a cat. Then she landed on Akujin's head, clawing at his eyes. He seemed to be unaffected. Unsatisfied, Neko changed back into her human form, still on Akujin's head.

He laughed, "Ha! You think that will help? Your power can't even begin to rival mine!"

Neko shook her head, "No, but I think this will!"

She unsheathed her knife and drove it deep into his heart (or, where it should have been if he wasn't an evil god). He seemed to feel that. Neko jumped off of his head and in his moment of pain and lost strength, Akujin crumpled to the ground.

"Ha! That should teach you to mess with me!" But Akujin stirred. He held out his hand and Neko felt her strength draining, and then the world faded away.

Neko awoke to find herself in a large room strapped to a table. There were five huge containers that contained a number of glowing orbs. Heh. Neko thought, Funny how this table is exactly my shape. Akujin walked into the room, interrupting Neko's thoughts. "Those containers contain souls," he said.

"Oh, also, Neko, if you're thinking about escape, stop, because I'm an evil god with the power of hundreds of other demigods. I basically have the power of all of the gods. Speaking of which..."

Akujin flipped over and was a mottled black tabby. He jumped up again and turned back to his human form. Neko stared in awe.

"I presume you are familiar with that specific power?" Akujin asked with a chuckle.

Neko was even more enraged about this, "You're terrible! You already have that power! Why chase me down for mine!?" Neko spat.

Akujin chuckled, "You silly girl. I need all power. I plan to rule the world. To do that, I need the power of two gods! The power of one thousand demigods equals the power of one god! I'm already a god, so I'm gathering one thousand demigods for their power. And you're the last one I need!"

Neko was shocked and horrified and a little impressed with this elaborate scheme.

At that moment, Neko remembered how Akujin had been in such excruciating pain when she had driven her knife into a sensitive area. Neko reached for her knife. She finally found the handle, and she drew it. She looked over at Akujin and saw he was observing a large screen of some sort. She cut her bonds and slowly crept towards Akujin. She slowly brought the knife up.

Suddenly, Akujin turned around. He saw Neko and gasped. In his moment of shock, Neko brought her knife down, but Akujin was quicker. Neko felt herself being flung towards a wall. Before she hit, she threw her knife at Akujin. In midair, the knife turned around and was flung toward her. Neko felt the knife graze her shoulder. The pain was horrible, but not as horrible as being smacked into a wall at high velocity.

Akujin laughed, "Ha! You'll never defeat me!" Just as he was about to blast her with a wave of dark energy, the door flew open.

It was Kapp. "Sir," he shouted "Our camp was robbed! We came back as fast as we could, but somebody took one of our men's magic cards and is still out there!"

Akujin snarled, "Can this wait? I'm in the middle of something!"

Meanwhile, Neko had snuck up behind Akujin and was driving her knife into his skull and slicing down, down. Akujin screamed and dropped to his knees. The containers holding the souls shattered, and they flew to Neko. Then, they phased into her body, and Neko felt an unimaginable amount of power. She had become a god.

But Akujin stood up and turned around, "You think that will stop me?" Neko shrugged, "No, but I think this will." Neko created a shining blade and drove it into Akujin's heart. Kapp stood there, obviously in shock.

Neko held up the light sword, "You want some?"

Kapp shook his head and bolted, probably to warn all the hunters and to evacuate them.

Neko shook her head, sighing. "Man, I really wanted to get him."
