The sun came up along with tails who had yawned and shook the sleepiness out of his body making his fur fluff up. He slicked it back and got dressed then walked into the hallway. He made his way to the kitchen and quietly made himself a cup of coffee

Mina rolled around on her sleep for a few minutes before waking up. She was still a bit tired due to a nightmare she had about her  closest friend. She saw tails standing in the kitchen with his back turned towards her. Mina sat up and rubbed the tiredness out of her eyes then stood to put her slippers on. The multi-tailed fox made her way to tails who had she not known he was sipping coffee

"Morning tails! " Mina said happily

Tails quickly turned around and dropped his full coffee cup that hit the floor and both glass and coffee invaded the floor. Tails had a high pitched school girl scream at the unexpected voice behind him

"Oh no! I'm so sorry! " Mina exclaimed as she grabbed a dish towel and tried to pick up the coffee

"Oh it's you thank goodness you scared me and it's okay sonic likes doing it a lot to me so it's something I'm used to. Here let me help"tails said as a form of hello as he helped pick up the glass

" still I'm sorry I didn't mean to " Mina replied back from the sink ringing out the rag

"Eh really it's fine the coffee wasn't sweet enough anyway. Now go ahead and get dressed and I'll make breakfast and you can meet me back down here" tails said while he stood up

"Ok see you in a few minutes" Mina said as she headed to get dressed

Tails put a few slices of bread in the toaster and scrambled some eggs and fried up some bacon then Mina came down stairs to the kitchen

"Hey need any help? " Mina said as she walked in

"Oh hey yeah can you get the toast before it burns" tails said as he grabbed the orange juice from the fridge and setting two glasses on the table

Mina grabbed a plate and set the toast on it then headed to the table. They both sat down and made there plates and started eating when tails remembered something

"Oh shoot I forgot the butter for the toast!" Tails exclaimed as he got up and headed to the fridge and then returned

"Are you okay Mina?" Tails spoke softly to the quiet kitsune

"Oh yeah I'm good just have some stuff on my mind I'm okay" mina reassures the fax across from her

They both finished their breakfast then cleaned up and got back to clearing Minas room

Tails and mina work hard and fast together only a few more boxes and they'll be done until they're interrupted by a knock on the door tails answered the door while mina struggled to balance three boxes on top of one another

"Oh hi Amy! " tails said happily to the familiar face

"Hey tails I'm here to pick up the donations you wanted to give back to me? "Amy asked

"Oh dang it I knew I forgot something I'm so sorry now those boxes are mixed with these ones from Mina's room" tails admitted

"More boxes!? Ugh! " Mina exclaimed as she fell back on the pulled out mattress sending her plush into the air

"Yeah hey Mr.Bolts!"tails said as he catches the toy as it falls into his hands

" Mr. Bolts? "Mina asked

"Yeah this was a toy of mine shadow found it on the floor and gave it to you while you were asleep" tails said the truth

"He did? It wasn't his to give away I'm sorry" Mina felt bad for take a gift that wasn't hers

"Oh don't be sorry Mina I'd rather you have it and it be loved and taken care of with you than it sitting in a box  collecting dust with me. Besides its a gift from me and shadow  consider it that way" tails  calmed her

"Shadow? Gave someone else a gift? " Amy said shocked by the out of character act by shadow

"Yeah I know it was hard to believe myself" tails agreed with Amy

'Tails you there!' Sticks voice shouted from tails wrist watch radio

"Hey sticks what's up?! " tails answered while pressing a button on his watch and speaking into it

'Remember when you asked me and rouge to keep an eye out? Yeah well I have and there's someone that's real suspicious' the badger announced over the radio in a worried voice

"Tails what is she talking about?! Mina asked a bit panicked

"ugh! Why did I have to put the most paranoid mobian on this island on watch! *sigh* it's alright Mina. " tails said with the button still pushed

'Hey! I heard dat!' Sticks shouted through the speaker

"Well what does he look like sticks? "
Tails avoided argument

"He's a grey bird with yellow..... *static*...... Eyes sorry it's kinda windy  here by him' sticks described through the wind

"Where is he? What is he doing? " tails asked

'Look I'm not crazy! Why would anyone with good intentions be watching you from around your house with binoculars huh?!'sticks exclaimed  clearly

"What!? You let him this close?! " tails yelled at the badger

"It's him!" Mina exclaimed as she ran out the door

"Mina! Wait it's not safe!" Tails called after her

Amy pulled out her piko hammer and ran out side after her along with tails

"Sir, I spotted her but she has company please advise" the grey Bird spoke formally into the Walkie-talkie

Mina ran as fast as possible to get to the bird hidden in the tree line

"Sir! I've been spotted please advise!" He raised his tone urgently

The radio stayed quiet for a while before static crackled and a voice came clear  "Bring her to me"

"Yes,sir" said the bird before he burst through the tree line and headed straight for Mina

"Hurricane?! Oh my god! Hurricane! " Mina said with tears of joy

Mina came close to hurricane and wrapped her arms around his neck then pulled him into a hug. His expression didn't change he didn't hug her back but landed his first into her gut she stubbles back from the unexpected hit the bird then landed another to her jaw

Tails saw this and screamed "MINA NOOO! " and ran seemingly faster than sonic and spin dashes the bird to the sandy ground.

He pulled himself off the ground and shot into the air

Mina stood and coughed to regain  the breath that way knocked out of her
"HURRICANE!" Mina yelled into the sky then stumbled for a minute trying to find his yellow eyes as he blended perfectly with the grey that Mina saw as the blue skies but once she did Mina flew into the sky to face him

"Mina! Wait! " tails called after her as he spined his tails to fly up just as Mina did

Mina and hurricane exchanged landing and dodging punches until Mina grabbed both of his fists to prevent him from fighting

"Hurricane! Why are you fighting me?! I'm your friend! " Mina yelled desperately trying to get him to stop

He didn't answer he only landed another blow her gut. Mina grits her teeth and tackles him making them spiral down to the ground though he reversed it and grabbed Minas hands and puts his feet on her chest making her land 9n her back taking the majority of the blow while he just stayed on top her chest

"Now let's get you to mephlies" he said as he slung her over his shoulder

"Not so fast! " Amy said from behind him

"Huh?!" Hurricane said confused before Amy slammed her hammer into the side of his head knocking him out leaving both Mina and hurricane unconscious
