Tails blasted through the door and tears tugged at his eyes because of sonic actions had really hurt him and he hated to be so cruel toward his best friend but he couldn't help it.
Sonic knew the consequences of his actions and went on and did it anyway. The whole situation just hurt his brain and he can easily put a complex plane engine together but personal things where much more complex than any equation or project.
The more he thought about it all the harder it was to fight crying.His tears slip down his fury cheek.
He quickly wiped them away And walked to the living room to find Mina.

"Mina?" Tails asked as he did see her

"Mina?!" Tails asked louder as  panic eased over him
He started to look everywhere but can't find her. Just a pile of books that have been taken off the shelves panic set in and his heart raced. What if Mephiles had taken her?

"MINA!?" Tails screamed and ran into the workshop

"MINAS MISSING!! " tails burst in and yelled setting everyone in a panic and they all split up to look through out the house while shadow just walked out

"Where are you going?! " sonic exclaimed at shadow "this is what I talked about! your just going to leave!? " sonic added

Shadow just ignored him and kept walking out the door to the sandy beach. The moon shined on the calm waves of the water making the view absolutely beautiful. There on the sand sat the Kitsune everyone panicked to find.

"Hey" shadow said as he sat down next to her
She tucked her legs in toward her chest and turned away

"I'm not mad about this morning you know" shadow said while gazing out over the water

Mina turned her body toward him "really? Why not" she asked softly

"You where confused and scared. We all do things that we regret when we're confused and scared you simply relied on your instincts. I actually respect that in a person." Shadow said as he looked right in the eyes of the mask and directly into hers.

His gaze cases her heart to race an her cheeks to turn a bright red. She didn't understand why but this feeling always happens when she's around him. She looked away toward the sea.

"So what brings you hear to sit alone huh? " shadow asked

"I just needed a little fresh air" Mina said not sure if she should tell him the truth

"Oh ok I don't normally sit here to stare out at sea but when I do gaze out into the view its because something is on my mind and I want to be alone" shadow opened up to her trying see if he couldn't get the truth

"Well I came for fresh air and........... Because I miss someone close to me. " Mina said a little cocky in the beginning but Loosened up a bit toward the end although her tone saddened

"We all miss someone Mina it's normal speaking of missing everyone at the house is freaked out cuz your gone so let's walk back k?" Shadow comforted her he stood up and lent a hand down to her she looked at it for a while then took it an the two walked back to the house.

Sonic layed up side down on the couch while Amy made dinner and tails made a mess of the house looking for Mina.

"Oh well look who decided to show up" sonic said sarcastically while still holding a ice pack to his eye

"Shadow! Did you find her?! " tails said in a panic
Mina came out from behind shadow

"Yes,she's fine just walked out for some fresh air . Can't blame her it's a bit stuffy in here"shadow Awnsered while also covering Mina's back

" oh holy Mother of chaos Mina you scared me! I had no idea where you were! Next time please tell me where you're going. "Tails said like worried parent

" hehe sorry tails I didn't mean to scare you just needed a second to breathe you know I'll be sure to tell you next time. "Mina apologized

"Sonic! What happened! Are you okay! " Mina said shocked at how messed up sonic looked

"Oh it's nothing Mina I'm ok don't even hurt anymore" sonic said with a smile

"Really?" Shadow said he pushed sonics nose an he yelped in pain

"Ow hey!" Sonic  cried out in pain

"Well good night Mina I gotta run! " sonic said as he runs quickly out the door

Mina gave a concerned look and asked " what happened? He looked really hurt."

Shadow and tails speak at the same time making it hard to hear what the other said. They looked at each other and tails sighed

"Tails no more lies I'm going to tell her" shadow spoke up

"Lies?!" Mina asked upset

"Sonic lied and took credit for saving you and I don't tolerate someone taking credit for my sacrifice so I beat some honesty into that little faker" shadow explained

"Wait you saved me?" Mina asked shadow

"Well not just me tails had his fair share he did the main techno part of the mission while all sonic did was complain how we should have left you there that hypocrite" shadow said

"That's how he hurt his hand breaking the glass" tails directed the heat off sonic

"Dinners done! " Amy called from the kitchen

The three joined Amy in the dining room and ate dinner together
The dinner was quite and no one talked making it awkward and quick. Every finished their food before tails spoke

"Amy where did the others go?"tails asked

"Oh Rouge and knuckles had a date! sticks said she had to go make more preparations for her bunker " Amy answered

"Rouge is dating knuckles? " shadow asked

"Yes! Isn't it so exciting! They're gonna be such a perfect couple!"
Amy fan girled

"I guess" shadow said gruffly

"Oooh shadow! You love Rouge!" Amy teased

" no I don't" shadow denied

Mina stood up and walked to the sink with her dishes. She walked out of the room having no interest in their conversation. She grabbed her night clothes and the plastic zip lock bag that had her toothpaste and toothbrush and a few other basic hygiene products and made her way to the bathroom to get ready for bed.
She locked the door and took off her mask then looked at herself in the mirror. Her eyes watered as she thought of what could happen to her friend where she might be. Soft  tears fall from her cheeks when she realised the worst. She wiped away her tears and brushed her teeth and hair then changed and put her mask on and walked downstairs.

"Hey tails I'll be back tomorrow to pick up those clothes ok? " Amy waved while walking out

"Alright thank you bye Amy!" Tails shouted back to her before closing and locking dead blot

"Hey there you are! Nice pj's. Sorry you missed them shadow said good night and I have good news for you you won't have to sleep on the couch tonight. Twin or queen? " tails said walking to the couches

"Ok thank you a twin would be fine" Mina said softly

Tails pull out a mattress out of the small love seat and made the bed for Mina.

"I'll have the guest room cleaned out tomorrow so you won't be to sleep in the living room and you can have a little more privacy" tails said as Mina got comfortable

"Thank you tails I really appreciate all of this" Mina thanked him

Tails turned off the lights and went to the stairs,the room still softly lit by a small light

"good night Mina" tails said as he walked upstairs

"Good night tails" Mina said just as tails was about half way up but could still hear her

Mina rolled on her side but stayed restless through out the night. No matter what position she layed in, she couldn't fall asleep she had to much on her mind. Hours pass and still it was no use, so she sat up and looked at the clock that read 4:17 . She fell back onto the bed then sighed and at last she fell asleep just a few hours before sunrise.
