Sonic bursts through the door obnoxiously

"Heya tails!" Sonic exclaimed

"Hi sonic sorry tails isn't -" Amy got cut off

"Oh hi Amy where's tails? Is he upstairs? " sonic spoke quickly and then zoomed his  way up the staircase and down the hallway. He looked in his bedroom and the cluttered guest room and he wasn't in either. Sonic noticed that someone was in the restroom and he hauled himself over there quickly and opened the door and saw a mask sitting on the counter.

"Hello?!" The person in the shower asked in  concern

Sonic grabbed the mask and took off down the hallway

Mina felt a large swelling of panic in her chest as she found her mask missing. She finished washing herself in the shower and quickly got dressed and used the towel that she dried off with to hide her face. She searched for the mask all over the bathroom and in defeat she headed down stairs to ask if Amy had seen anything.

A uncontrollable rage rushed through mina as she saw sonic with the mask on his face

"Hey Amy check out what I found! Look I'm a mime!" Sonic said as he danced around with the mask he took on his face

"Sonic!" Amy exclaimed as she knew who the mask belongs to

"GET THAT OFF YOUR FACE NOW!" Mina yelled angrily at the Overly energetic hedgehog

"HOW DARE YOU! " Mina continues

She bolts forward to grab the mask but sonic yanks is out of her reach

"Not so fast small fry" sonic said waving a finger in her face in raging the kitsune more

"GIVE IT BACK!" Mina snarls and tries to reach for it again

"Uh uh" sonic sonic said like a little kid refusing something

The two then broke into a chase to get the mask. Mina gets frustrated and thrown a small ball of fire at the hedgehog but missed and the coffee table ignited into flames. Amy panicked and grabs the fire extinguisher and puts out the fire.
Just then tails walked in to see his coffee table in ashes sonic on the sofa and Mina with a towel on her face.

"My coffee table!" Tails exclaimed in shock. "What happened!? "

All three began to shout at each other pinning the blame on everyone.

"Alright! Alright! That's enough! Everyone sit down!"tails yelled over everyone's bickering

They all sat down and tails began

"Mina why do you have a towel on your face?" Tails said calmly

"Because that grey dude took my mask!" Mina said while pointing at sonic

"I'm not grey! I'm blue! You need to get your eyes checked!" Sonic said rudely

"Do not! " Mina denied

"Do to!" Sonic argued

"Stop it both of you! " tails broke up the argument. He sighs and continues
"Sonic give her back her mask and say sorry"

"What no way this thing is cool" sonic refused

"Sonic!" Tails said in a stern voice

"It's just a joke I was kidding around!"
Sonic tried defending himself

"Now sonic!" Tails grew impatient

"Fine" sonic gave up and handed the mask to Mina

"Now apologize" tails ordered

"Oh come on tails it was just a joke!" Sonic protested

"Yeah and it wasn't very funny now apologize" tails said frustrated

"Ok fine jezz I'm sorry" sonic said to Mina

"Thank you" Mina said before she got up to find a discrete to put her mask on

"Thank you Amy for staying here with Mina and putting out my coffee table so the rest of my house didn't burn down " tails thanked her

"Oh it was no problem sorry about your coffee table though. Hey what time is it?!" Any said calmly before her meeting came to mind

"12:30" tails locked at his watch

"Oh shoot I'm late! I gotta go just call me when you're ready to give me back the clothes she didn't want ok bye!" Amy said rushing out the door

"Are you two hungry?" Tails asked looking back at the two

"I am! How about Chili dogs!" Sonic said enthusiastically

"Why did I even ask?" Tails said sarcasticly "How about you Mina?" Tails asked the kitsune who finally got her mask on

"Um sure yeah I don't mind" Mina replied nicely

Tails made his way to the kitchen and started to make lunch. Two sandwiches and some chips for Mina and tails and two Chili dogs for sonic.
While tails was making lunch for the three of them, sonic started talking to Mina.

"You know you could've been a little nicer to me considering I'm the one who saved your life you know" sonic lied

"Wait you are the one who saved me?" Mina asked confused and kinda guilty

"Yup the one and only blue blur saved your life" sonic said with a cocky tone

"Blue blur?" Mina didn't understand as she saw he was grey

"Uh huh the fastest thing alive that's me" sonic hosted about himself

"Ok can I know your name?" Asked Mina

"It's sonic. Sonic the hedgehog" sonic said proudly

"Time for lunch you two!" Tails called from the kitchen

They both walked in the kitchen and sat down at the table.

"What would you like to drink?" Asked tails as he grabbed a fanta from the fridge

"Pepsi!" Exclaimed sonic

"Um I don't know I'm not really picky whatever you have will be fine" Mina replied

"Ok how about some Gatorade it has electrolytes in it to help you gain your strength back" he said as he walked back to the table and handed everyone their drinks

"So how old are you Mina?" Tails asked

"Dude! It's rude to ask a chic their age!" Sonic said with Chili sauce on his face

"Yeah? Well it's also rude to take other people's stuff and talk with your mouth full" tails said as he threw a hand towel at Sonic's messy face

Mina giggled at the two boys which in turn directed their attention to her.

"It's ok really I'm 3 months old" Mina said plainly

"What! No way!" Sonic and tails said together

"Well not exactly it's complicated. You see I'm actually twelve years old but I was put in a incubator sense I was born the first time and I was pulled out of the incubator three months ago and put into another type of incubator that would make me strong enough to live outside of any incubator." Mina explained

"Oh ok I get it now" sonic said in understanding

"Oh uh ok Mina do you like to read I don't have any your level but you can look at the pictures. " tails diverted the conversation

"Yeah ok" Mina agreed as she finished her lunch

Tails finished his lunch too and walked Mina into his living room again and handed her a few lower level books and went back to sonic in the kitchen and he was washing dishes from lunch. As tails entered the kitchen sonic Dries his hands and turned to him.

"We need to talk" tails said with a serious tone

Sonic became nervous because tails rarely gets this serious. He nods his head and they good into the workshop in the back.

"What's up tails?" Sonic asked

"Mina wasn't hooked up to incubators" tails pointes out

"What were they then? " sonic said curiously

"There PEDs " tails replied

"Um speak normal tails not all of us are scientists you know" sonic kidded

"Not funny sonic. PEDs is an acronym for power. Extraction. Device. They lied to her. Mephlies is up to something but what I don't know. We have to lay low something bigger is at play here" tails explained with his tone even more serious than before.
