Link and Kaze rode on Mipha's back as she swam to the Divine Beast.

"See the waterfalls coming off it's back? Up those waterfalls are glowing, pink orbs. Those are what you are aiming for. Link will ascend the waterfalls with the Zora armor with Kaze on his back and you two will shoot the orbs. I will take you to the side of the Divine Beast." Mipha explained.

Vah Ruta started to stomp on the lake floor and roared with it's trumpet.

"What is it doing?" Kaze asked, nervously.

"It knows we are here. We have to wait for an opening before I can swim to the side of Ruta. Be careful of it's attacks!" Mipha exclaimed.

Ruta then started to shoot large ice cubes at them. Kaze panicked a bit. He grabbed his bow and shot normal arrows at the ice. When the arrows hit the ice, it was then projected away and it shattered when it hit the water.

"Nice work, Kaze!" Mipha exclaimed.

"T-Thank you." Kaze said. To be honest, he just went with his gut. He didn't think that actually would work.

Mipha then swam up to the side of Vah Ruta and to the waterfalls. Kaze held onto Link and then then he swam up on of the waterfalls. It launched them into the air, with Kaze still on Link's back. Link quickly got his bow and shot at one of the orbs. It hit and the orb turned yellow. Kaze then did the same thing and the orb he shot turned yellow too. Two down and two more to go. They then fell back into the water. Mipha got them on her back and swam away.

Ruta then started to shoot more ice at them but then this time it was spiked balls made of ice. Link then quickly shot them away with his normal arrows. Mipha then swam to the other side of Vah Ruta and then Link swam up a waterfall that was there. The two boys repeated what they did before and now, all the orbs on Ruta were yellow.

Vah Ruta let out a big roar as Link and Kaze landed in the water again. Mipha then picked the two boys up onto her back again. Vah Ruta then sunk down, on it's knees, into the water and it's trunk went into the water, making it stop raining. The waterfalls then stopped coming out of it as well. When it sunk down, it provided an easy way for them to get on it.

They then got on the Divine Beast.

"Well done, you two." Mipha smiled.

Ruta then got back up on it's legs but stayed there with it's trunk low.

"There should be a Guidance Stone inside that will give us a map of Vah Ruta." Mipha explained.

Link and Kaze nodded.

They then went inside but then say the inside of Vah Ruta was filled with dark malice that were on Ruta like vines on the side of a house. Attached to the malice was glowing eyes that looked at them. That made chills go down Kaze's spine.

Link then hit the eye with an arrow and the malice died away and disappeared.

"Poor Vah Ruta. It must be filled with this." Mipha frowned.

"Don't worry, we'll take care of it." Kaze said with a smile.

The three made it to the Guidance Stone. Link put the Sheikah Slate in it and after a few seconds of loading, on the Sheikah Slate, there was a map of the inside of Vah Ruta. It also showed that they could control the trunk of Vah Ruta.

"What are the glowing points?" Kaze asked.

"Those must be the terminals that control Ruta. If we activate all of them, we will take back control of Ruta." Mipha explained.

"Sounds easy." Kaze said.

"There should be some on the lower level." Mipha said.

They then climbed down the stairs on the outside of Ruta that then lead inside. There was then more malice around.

"Oh boy. This won't be easy." Kaze said.

After going through Vah Ruta, facing obstacles and more malice creatures, they got all of the terminals. Mipha then told the boys that they then needed to start the main control unit which was in the center of Ruta. It was like it's heart. But, that meant retracing their steps and going back to where they started.

They then soon made it to the main control unit in a large room. Link went to put his Sheikah Slate on the slate that was there to take back control but then it was surrounded by malice.

Then, something started to appear behind them.

Blue streams went through the air and came together to make a large hideous creature made by malice with a spear attached to it's arm. It had a glowing eye like a Guardian that had a look like it was gonna do them harm. It let out a loud screech that made Kaze cover his ears.

"What is that thing?!" Kaze exclaimed.

"It's be one of Ganon's creations. It was what took over Ruta ten years ago." Mipha said and she held her spear out, ready for battle.

Link pulled out his sword and then Kaze pulled out his bow.

It then screeched again and threw it's spear at the group to which they scattered to dodge it. The spear shattered and it then made another giant spear in it's hand. Kaze held his bow up and then shot it right in the eye. It screeched in pain and slashed it's spear at Kaze's direction. Link then got in front of Kaze and held his shield in front him. They were both then knocked back into the wall.

Mipha then attacked the creature from behind with her spear which cause it to take some damage. It was about to attack Mipha again when the beast was met with a shock arrow to the back. Link shot it in the back. Kaze and Link then started to shoot at it with more shock arrows and Mipha backed up out of the way. They had a lot because they didn't use that much for the orbs.

It then roared as it got hit. Then it slashed the arrows that were still being shot with it's spear. Then it's good hand started to glow blue as it turned upside down. Suddenly, the room started to flood a quarter of the way with water. There were some platforms for Kaze and Link to stand on and Mipha stayed in the water. It then floated in the air and let out another horrible screech.

"What do we do now? We can't move that much anymore." Kaze said.

It then summoned large ice cubes like Ruta made before when they were trying to get in.

Kaze then thought for a bit and then looked at Mipha in the water.

"Mipha! We'll keep attacking it here as you try to attack it from the water." Kaze said.

Mipha nodded and went under water.

Kaze then started to shoot more arrows at it. It screeched and threw the ice cubes at the boys. Link then used his sword to slice through the ice. Kaze then had an idea to use his wind. He got down on one knee and put his hands on the ground. He then closed his eyes and focused. Then rabid winds circled around him. He then pushed himself off the ground and jumped, being inside the whirlwind. Link and Mipha watched in amazement. The creature also watched too, ready to attack. Kaze then held his bow to shoot at the creature, but then he got caught in the circling winds and was then thrown into the water.

Kaze then made it above water and took a deep breath. He held his bow close to him. Then the creature aimed it's spear at Kaze and threw it at him. Kaze watched in terror as the spear approached. Then Mipha pulled him out of the way and swam away, holding onto Kaze. The creature then summoned another spear and screeched.

Link then shot it with it's bow, right in the eye. It screamed and held it's eye with it's good hand. Mipha then put Kaze on her back and she used the water to jump up into the air. She then stabbed her spear right into it's head. The creature then screamed more. Mipha then pulled out her spear and then landed next to Link on the platform. Kaze got off Mipha's back and they all looked up to the beast.

It screamed in agony as malice bled from it's body. Light then shined out from it. It then bubbled up. Mipha held Kaze close and then Link got in front of the two, holding his shield to protect all of them. It then exploded. It was now gone, forever.

The water went away and the malice around the main control unit disappeared. Link dropped his shield to see everything was okay. They all then put their weapons away and Link went over to the main control unit. He then activated it with his Sheikah Slate and it turned blue. Everything turned blue as it showed Ruta was out of Ganon's control. Ruta then let out a happy roar. Mipha chuckled at that.

"I'm glad you're free, Ruta." Mipha said and put a hand on the floor.

"We did it!" Kaze exclaimed with a smile. Link and Mipha smiled.

When they returned to Zora's Domain, the Zoras celebrated and cheered for Vah Ruta was now free from Ganon's control and Mipha was it's the pilot once again.

The Zoras' threw a large party and a feast for Link, Mipha, and Kaze.

They named them heroes.

When the festivities were underway, Kaze decided to sneak out and went to East Reservoir Lake. He sat on the dock where him and Mipha waited for Link when he went to get the shock arrows. Kaze looked up at Vah Ruta and was happy that it was free.

"I figured you would be here."

Kaze turned around and saw Mipha.

"Oh, hello." Kaze said.

Mipha then sat down next to Kaze.

"Why aren't you celebrating with everyone else?" Mipha asked.

"I... kind of felt a little bad." Kaze said.

"Bad?"

"Well, I tried to do a move I knew I had sense I was a baby and I failed at it. I always do but I feel worse because you and Link saw me screw up..." Kaze said.

"Hm, well, everyone feels like that. I know your father did when your mother saw him." Mipha said.

"Wait, what?"

"That move is your fathers. He would spend so long to perfect it. One time, your mother saw him fail when she went to go see him. She went over to help him and your father was embarrassed when he knew she saw him fail. But then she told him that it's okay to fail, it's just one more step to succeeding. She then had him try again with her watching and he did it, perfectly. Your mother was so happy."

"How do you know all this?"

"Your mother told me. I was her best friend. We told each other secrets, so be sure to keep that a secret." Mipha said with a smile.

Kaze chuckled at that and nodded.

"If your father can do it, so can you." Mipha smiled.

Kaze smiled at that and stood up.

"You're right! I will do it right and when I meet my father, I'll show him I can do his move too!" Kaze said with a smile and then hugged Mipha. "Thank you."

Mipha then hugged back.

Kaze then let go and ran off to go back to the party.

Mipha then looked up to the sky when he was gone.

"I hope I get to see soon, Holly. Your son is amazing. He's just like you with his father's eyes and determination." Mipha said. She knew no one would hear it but said it anyways. She then walked away to go back to the party.

Little did she know, someone did listen.
