Shadow's p.o.v
'Jewel looks so cute sleeping in my nest. Wait, what am I thinking she is a year younger that me, she probably won't like me anyway if she evolves into a Espeon.' I thought to myself. Anyway I think that I should sleep to, this is my nest anyway. I curl up around her, she is just so cuddly. I feel like I am melting into her warmth. It soon was morning, I had to get food, and I felt a feeler nudge my side. "Hey Shadow get up... Why you just sleeping with Jewel." Ribbon whispered yelled into my ear. "Well she was in my nest and I was tired so there." I snapped at Ribbon, she glared at me and I ran out into the woods and grabbed many berries. I never could catch fish. I came back to see Jewel doing some stretches out side of my den. She then walked up to me. "Hey Shadow, I'm sorry that I fell asleep in your nest, I was to tired to go the look for the correct nest. I truly am sorry." Jewel said. "It's fine, I understand." I responded back. I walked away and dropped the basket at the rock and then Pebble dropped a ton of fish right next to it. Pebble smirked and walked away. 'Why is he smirking? Did he see me sleeping with Jewel last night?' I thought to myself. "It's fine bud everyone knows. Ribbon told Crystal and she just gossiped it all over camp." Volt said as he walked by. I let put a sigh of relief. I walked away and I walked over to Jewel. "Hey Jewel, can I train you today?" I asked her. She nodded and I speed away. 'I am going to have a great day today.' I thought to myself. I was soon called to breakfast and I sit right next to Jewel. I felt heat rising to my cheeks. The guys noticed and started oohing and ahhing. "Shut up guys." I muttered under my breath. After breakfast, I walk into the fields right outside our home with Jewel following me. "So what moves can you do? I can use flash, moonlight, pursuit, dark pulse, shadow ball, and shadow claw." I said proudly. "Well I can use helping hand, baby-doll eyes, swift, bite, take down, charm, and protect." She said proudly. "Alright, we will have a battle, I will get Fern if any one of us get hurt." I say. I go and grab Fern and she was glad to watch and heal us. "Alright battle begin!" Fern yelled. I was twitching with excitement, I haven't had a battle in years and I am so excited. "Take down!" Jewel yelled and ran at me full speed, and when I tried to doge, I was slammed down and Jewel was on top of me, I shook her off, I felt a rock scrape my side as I took a quick glance, it left a big gash, I cover it with my tail and turn to face her." Dark pulse!" I yelled and I fired it at her, "Protect!" She screamed and the dark pulse didn't make any contact. "Swift!" Jewel yelled I dogged it but she fired it over and over again until it made contact. "Shadow ball!" I said and fired it. It hit her and her legs were trembling, "c-charm," she whispered and all of a sudden I kept looking at her. "Swift." Jewel yelled, when I did finally shake myself out of the charm trance it was to late, I was hit and I fainted. It was noon when I woke up, "Hey Shadow. Dude you took a hard hit from an newbie!" Volt said. "Oh my Arceus! Are you ok?" Jewel yelled. "Yeah." I said. I got up and walked into my den. I had just laid down when Jewel walked into my den, I had a scar that I hid from Fern, but it hurt so much. "Hey Shadow, you were limping so I wanted to check on you." Jewel said. I closed my eyes and I tried to sleep but I felt someone move my tail that was covering my gash. Then I felt a cream go on my gash. I moaned in pain not knowing who was putting on the cream. "It's me, Jewel, Fern made a cream of Pecha and Cherry berry. It heals any wound, oh and Fern wants me to look after you by spending the night with you, just to make sure your wound doesn't get any worse." Jewel murmured softly. She curled up right next to me and I curled around her and gently put my head on her side. I smiled and sunk into her warmth.
