He found it in an old tome, depicting a crown with unlimited power. One problem, it's not in this dimension, and that proved a problem. Eventually, he found a spell, and opened a portal.

Upon tumbling through it, he found himself in a burning wasteland, and a decrepit mechanical city. Trudging forward, he gazed upon the fiery sky, and turned towards the large volcano. Then he got an idea, and began walking towards it.

"The book says it's guarded by a dragon, and where else would a dragon be, other than a volcano?"

And so he went on.

Eventually, he made it to the volcano, but found he couldn't climb it, and the heat made it too hard for him to focus on using his magic. Eventually, after a long while, he found a cave along the bottom of the raging mountain. He dived into the cave, relishing in the cooler air inside. Making his way in deeper, he began to notice something strange; the tunnel didn't continue to get dark, instead brightening up.

Making his way towards the light, what he found was certainly a surprise: a large ship, and her doors were open.
