Valentines Special
(Hello just as a quick note I want to warn you there is a two year and four month gap between this chapter and the first one because I never expected to continue this so there is a massive style change! Anyway thank you for reading this and enjoy! And as a quick note this symbol ~ means a time skip)
Valentines day was something Luka never really celebrated. He didn't see how so many couples could be swept up into it. Valentines day seemed to be just an excuse people used to buy each other gifts and spend the rest of the day being disgustingly gross. However recently he's had a change of heart. Almost a year ago he decided he was too lonely to keep this up. Dolls were bought, sold and thrown away as just apart of their culture. To own one wasn't that big of a deal but he couldn't have expected his life to turn so quickly after buying his first doll. He was incredibly sweet and he couldn't have fallen faster. He could almost relate to those couples that share sweet nothings to each other on this day.
His doll was one in a million, with a personality and feelings of his own he was different from all of the other dolls that just seemed so lifeless. So of course when his doll told him that he wanted a pretty name he deserved the best. It was hard at first but Luka eventually came up with the perfect name and when his doll heard it, he knew he had chosen right. Ever since then his doll has seemed brighter and full of life.
Luka had big plans for Valentines day, he wanted it to be perfect.

"Good morning Luka." A sweet voice greeted Luka that morning, it was always like this now. He opened his eyes and was met with a warm smile. He placed a hand upon his dolls cheek and brought him down for a soft kiss.
"Good morning." However compared to other mornings he could smell the aroma of waffles which made him chuckle. "You've already made breakfast? We usually do it together though?"
"I wanted to do something for you today, it's Valentines day after all." He chirped, "now come on let's go eat, I've been very excited for this." All too soon Luka was alone on the bed again and clothes were being tossed to him. "Get dressed and meet me in the kitchen."
Luka shook his head but heaved himself out of his bed and put on the clothes that had been chosen for him. After running a hand through his bed hair he glanced at the drawer next to his bed and smiled to himself. Tonight he would have his chance. He made his way into the kitchen and saw his doll placing a couple plates on the table.
"It smells great." He took his seat at the table and felt a kiss placed on his temple before they started eating.

By afternoon Luka had his doll dressed in a cute blue button up and a pair of dress slacks. After dressing himself in a casual suit he ran a comb through his dolls hair. Their eyes met in the mirror and he smiled. "Are you excited for today?"
"I don't think I was this even close to this excitement the day I went home with you. And we both know that was the biggest day of my life." It was true, after spending all of this time together Luka has definitely heard this statement more than once. "Probably even more excited than the day you gave me my name."
Luka chuckled and felt satisfied with how his dolls hair looked now and set the comb aside. He wrapped his arms around him. "Now that's hard to believe. I remember distinctly how you couldn't stop saying your name to yourself after I told you."
He was met with a blush at his statement. "Well that's because I've never had a name before, it was a huge deal. Especially since dolls don't usually get named by their masters..." Dolls lived a cruel life, never lasting more than a couple years. When they broke it was too easy to replace them and get new ones instead. So people tended to not name them and get attached, they weren't people after all.
"I don't regret naming you. You deserve it, Javen." Luka stated firmly. "And I'm not your master, I'm your boyfriend. Your my equal. Now let's enjoy today, alright?" He was met with no objections.

Lunch was spent with Luka setting up a picnic in the middle of a park. They sat on the ground with a picnic basket between them. Being outside was one of Javens favorite things to do since he spent so long holed inside that store. Luka didn't mind spending time outside anyway, especially with today sunny and full of smiling faces. After they finished their lunch they went into town where Luka then took Javen to a local sweets store. It was pretty busy but they didn't mind the wait. After receiving a box of chocolates and a couple slices of cake they ate at one the outside tables.
The day was progressing smoothly and Luka could tell it was having it's affect on Javen. His laughs, his cute facial expressions and the sweet touches they shared were enough to make Luka fall in love all over again. Of course at this point in the day Javen had chosen the next activity and Luka found himself staring at the doors to an aquarium. Javen had never shown much interest to going to one before so it took him by surprise.
"You don't like the ocean so I'm surprised." They walked into the doors and Javen pulled two passes he must of bought ahead of time and showed them to the greeters.
"I don't like the idea of being in the ocean, but I like all of the different kinds of fish that live there! I also happen to know that you absolutely love the ocean so I knew you would like this." Javen knew him so well.
"I love it. What should we check out first?"

Many pictures later they emerged from the building, each carrying a bag of souvenirs from the gift shop. It was early evening now and Luka turned to Javen with a grin. "Are you ready for dinner?"
"After all of that walking I'm more than ready."
It was almost time that Luka wanted to give Javen his gift and he felt a little nervous. While Javen had never been picky this was still a big gift.
~
When they were in the middle of dinner Luka decided it was finally time he give Javen his gift. He set his glass of water down and smiled gently at Javen. "Hey. I don't think I've said it today but happy Valentines day." Luka reached into his bag and pulled out the box and slid it across the table to Javen. He took it curiously, it was long and neatly tied with a bow. Javen carefully undid the bow and opened the top.
Javens hand came up to cover his mouth as he stared into the box. Tears welled up inside of his eyes as he looked back up at Luka. "You..."
"It's a promise ring. I know giving something like this would probably happen on our three year anniversary in November but it felt more special to give it to you today? I also had it put on a necklace because I know you'd prefer it that way. Want me to put it on for you?"
"Please." Luka stood and made his way around the table and carefully took the necklace and clasped it behind his neck. The ring rested against his chest now as he looked up at Luka. "Thank you... If someone had asked me two or so years ago if anything like this was possible I wouldn't have believed it..." Luca reached for Javens hand and placed a kiss on it.
"You know I think I would have said the same thing.
(Okay There's your chapter! It's been two years and four months since I first wrote them and honestly it felt good to revisit them! If you have any questions feel free to ask! I might write a third short chapter if you want about them doing the do {I'm so mature} for valentines day but don't get your hopes up. Thank you for waiting so long and honestly being so amazing? I love you.)
