No POV/3rd person

A cocky smirk was shown on Sakura's face as she stood up as Valt walked over to her. Valt had his trademark grin plastered on.

"I won't be losing easily!", he chuckled as Sakura rolled her eyes.

"I'm willing to be ref," a mysterious voice suddenly said. Turning around, the gang saw it was none other than Shu. At the sight of his childhood friend, Valt immediately ran over to Shu and started bragging about the battle. With a small smile, Shu said, "Don't you think you should actually battle before bragging like you are?"

He shot a look at Sakura. "Didn't think I'd see the day you challenge someone to a battle."
The girl just casually shrugged. "Just cause we spoke once or twice doesn't mean you know my life story."

Valt tilted his head. "When did you guys ever get to talk???"
"Tournaments, school projects," Sakura replied with a yawn. "Now then, are we gonna battle or what?"

"Haha! Yup!", Valt giggled as he held out Valtryek. "Meet my partner! Victory Valtryek!"
Sakura then held out her own bey. "Here's my partner, Astralis Artemis."

The two observed the others' bey then took their stances on the opposite sides of the stadium.

"3! 2! 1! Let it,,Rip!", the two shouted simultaneously as they launched their beys.

Both beys spun at rapid speeds around the stadium. Both bladers watched their opponents bey and waited for the right opportunity to call out a move. Valt was the first to strike, unaware of what plans Sakura may have.

Valt POV:

I was determined to win this battle!
"Valtryek! Rush launch!!", I commanded.

I watched Valtryek rush to Artemis a great burst of speed. Sakura's bey was fast but there was no way it could get away from flash launch!

With that in mind, my mouth practically hit the floor when it DID. Artemis had swiftly jerked away just when Valtryek had reached it. I watched my bey almost rush out of the stadium but thankfully it hadn't!

"Huh, I thought it'd rush outta the stadium for sure. Who woulda thought the baby knew how to blade," Sakura mused, watching me closely.

I took my eyes off the beys and glared at Sakura. "I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT IM NOT A BA-"

Right then, Sakura exclaimed "Now, Artemis, arrow launch!". Just like that, I glanced back at the stadium and saw Valtryek being hit out of the stadium. She tricked me!

"Artemis with a ring out finish. The score is 1-0," Shu announced. I could see a slight look of disappointment in his eyes. 'Focus' he mouthed.

"Rule of thumb, never get distracted from the battle," Sakura instructed. "It's the most basic rule. I really wonder how you ever could've beaten those guys," she said, lazily gesturing at Rantaro, Daigo, and Ken.
I looked at my three friends and saw how they were incredibly annoyed by Sakura's words.

"Would ya look at this hot shot? She thinks she's all that. You show her Valt! End her with a burst finish!", Honcho burst out in annoyance. Daigo and Ken nodded in agreement. The three gave me encouraging smiles as I returned one to them.

"You guys are right! I've got this!", I grinned, throwing a fist up into the air. Shu nodded with a slight smile.

Sakura slow clapped. "Woohoo, nice cheerleading. Make that into a rhyme or song and learn some flips and I'm sure you'll be perfect for the cheerleading club."

(I just imagined this for some reason-
Why brain-)

"What is WITH you?", Honcho snapped.

The girl shrugged. "Nothing. Let's continue now."

Once more, I got into my launching stance except this time I got ready to do a flash launch.

"3! 2! 1! Let it,,,,rip!", I exclaimed.

"Valtryek! Flash launch!", I grinned. I looked over at Sakura, expecting her to be surprised but her face was straight. Man, talk about a good poker face.

This time, Artemis didn't dodge the attack. It actually flew out of the stadium!! That was so much easier thank I thought! Her first win must've been a lucky shot.

"Valtryek with a ring out finish. The score is tied at one each," Shu stated.

"Haha! The score is even now!", I chuckled.

"Good job Valt," Daigo smiled.

"Looks like you're all bark and no bite," Honcho smirked.

"Hey! Watch your words mister! Don't compare her to us!", Ken spoke through Keru and Besu.

Sakura picked up her bey and then silently turned around. I could see Shu glancing her way clearly thinking. I was curious but too happy to really pay attention to it.

"Not gonna look at us huh?", Keru said cockily. "Leave the girl alone, it's hard for people to accept they're wrong," spoke Besu. This got Honcho laughing.

I exchanged high-fives with everyone as Sakura was still turned around from us.

"Now, let's finish this match!", I exclaimed.

Sakura turned around looking much more confident than before but, I thought of what Honcho said about all bark and no bite. She was probably trying to intimidate me. Or maybe she wasn't and she's actually confident. What if my win this round was another trick of hers? What if she knows I'm thinking that my win was a trick and using that against me? What if she knows I know that she... I felt my head heat up.

"Oh no, not this again," Daigo sighed. "What could he possibly be thinking of this time?"
Honcho just picked up a water bottle and dumped it on my face. "Head in the game! Take her down! She's all bark, no bite! Don't let her smirk get to you bud!"

I nodded. Honcho was right! I hopped up. "Let's do this!"

I set up ready to do flash launch. Since it worked before, it was sure to work again. I didn't look at Sakura at all. Just the stadium. I took in a deep breath.
"3! 2! 1! Let it,,,rip!"
Our beys flew into the stadium.
"Flash launch!", I shouted. This was going to be last round all over again.
Valtryek goes to hit Artemis, Artemis flies out of the stadium, and then it flies-
The sound of Sakura exclaiming "ARROW DROP! NOW!" interrupted my thoughts. I saw Artemis start dropping down with its pointed part straight down going right at Valtryek!
Before I could react, the bey had already smashed into mine. Valtryek hadn't burst yet but it lost a TON of stamina but so had Artemis!
"VALTRYEK! HANG ON! STAY IN THE MIDDLE!"
I watched Artemis make a few circles around the outer circle of the stadium GAINING energy?
"Artemis, end this with repetition launch," Sakura smirked.
Her bey started doing something similar to Rush launch; attacking Valtryek at all angles.
Valtryek burst after 4 hits.

I slumped down to the floor. She beat me.

"Artemis with a burst finish. Sakura wins," Shu announced then frowned.

"You became overconfident," I heard Sakura sigh. "When I eavesdropped on a conversation of your so called skills, I thought you'd be a ton better than this. Guess I overestimated you. What an amateur."

"Hey! At least I won one of the rounds!", I argued. The bey club said agreeing words. That only caused her to start laughing.
"What's so funny?", Honcho demanded.
"Pffft, you guys really are amateurs," she laughed. With that she picked up her bag on the bench and began to make an exit.
"AMATEURS? HOW?", Rantaro snapped. "Just who do you think you are with all that big talk when you were beaten with just one move?!"

Sakura's POV

Never in my life had I thought I'd meet someone this stupid. I turned around to glance at the 'club'.

"Beaten in a move? You really bought that? I coulda beaten the kid in just two rounds but I wanted to make him think he actually had a chance. Heck, I think he might've actually caught on if you didn't change his mind into thinking I'm 'all bark and no bite'" I said, making air quotes. That shut the guy up. Guess there really is a first time for everything. His friends started saying comforting things.
I turned around and was just about to leave when I decided to answer Rantaro's question and make something straight. "Oh, and by the way, I think of myself as an experienced blader, something I doubt you can ever be." I heard a growl from a all too familiar voice. I kept in a giggle then opened the door and began going down the stairs.

Shu POV:

Sakura's last comment really got Rantaro fuming. Valt and his other two friends just awkwardly listened to the millions of rants. I chuckled and laid a hand on Rantaro's shoulder. "Calm down. You really shouldn't let her words get to you. She probably wants you mad so you make dumb decisions."
"Yea, yea, fine Shu," he grumbled. "That girl just gets on my nerves!"
Daigo nodded. "Yea, she says the right things that get to us."
Valt just shrugged. "I'm too hungry to think." Right on cue, his stomach grumbled.

"You really love to eat don't you?", I smiled.
Valt chuckled and nodded. "I have an idea! Let's go to my house and have something made by my mom! Then I'll have enough energy to take on Wakiya!!" (YeS, i kNoW. It doesn't work with the plot. BuT cUt Me sOmE sLaCk. I mean, I forgot a lot-. )
The group of friends agreed simultaneously. I on the other hand, decided to train.
We walked down the stairs together then split up.

I began to walk over to the bey stadium at the park. I noticed that there was someone already there. They weren't training though, just sitting at one of the poles on their phone. As I walked closer to the mysterious entity, I saw that it was Sakura. Thinking she hadn't seen me yet, I turned around and started heading towards Valt's house.
"I know you're there," Sakura sighed and got up. "I'll leave. You go ahead and train. Or, the two of us could battle and/or train together. Your choice."

"Well, let's just battle. I'm curious to see how what strategies you'll use on me," I shrugged and walked to the stadium.

Time for me to le tell stuff -w-
So, uh, my idea was to put this before Valt's battle with Wakiya (ep 9) but after Shu's battle in the tournament that same episode.
Yea, uh, obviously, that ain't gonna work out-

So long that instead of 24 hours, it was, idk, 36 - 48 ig???

Haha, I lied about not merging these stuff with the anime. I'm just not gonna use the same exact words again :'D

Anyway! Obviously, my writing style has changed a lot! I uh, hope it's gotten better not worse aaaand,,,,I hope you enjoyed the chapter!
