Sakura's POV

*flashbacksss*

"Alright Siren! You can do it!! Go and-"

"Luinor! CRUSH IT!"

*clink* (I have no clue-)

"S-siren!! N-no!!!"

"You weakling. You actually thought you could defeat ME. You AND your bey have suffered the consequences!"

.....

"Sakura! Come back!! Please!"

"C'mon sis! I'll beat the crap out of him if you want!! Just stop running!"

"No! Leave me alone!"

.....

"Oh god...*pant* if you ever give up blading, *pant* you'd be perfect for the Olympics. No joke. My *pant* little sister, winning a ton of gold medals"

"Don't say that! She's gonna STAY a blader! Right Sakura?"

"Wrong Zac, now leave me alone..,"

"Why are Free and Kris here? Akio, Zac, explain."

"We got ya a new bey! Artemis! The sister of Apollo, my AWESOME bey"

"Mom...Dad... Where are they?!"

I pounced up. Great, just great. Second night in a row. Hah, and teachers always complain that I should sleep more.

I took out Artemis, a gift from Akio, Free, Kris, and Zac.

"I bet you'd love to defeat Apollo again," I smiled. "I know I would..."

Annnnd now to shut my brain. Remembering the past won't help, I just..gotta keep going without looking back. I'm not gonna cry about this again. No tears. I'm past that. Crying is dramatic. Now, to just convince myself that.

Yet, I could never figure it out,,,the one day I couldn't visit Akio,,,he disappeared. Practically dropped off the face of the Earth. No calls picked up no texts responded to nor even read. Where'd he go..? Did he find where mom and dad disappeared to?

I took a deep breath and decided to just focus on the future.
Valt's POV

"AAAAA!! LATE FOR SCHOOL! LATE FOR SCHOOL!!!" I yelled as I ran out of my house. "I can make it!!!"

I sprinted all the way to school then pounced up and landed just as the bell rang. Huh, I guess cement has gotten softer, my landing wasn't hard! I spotted Honcho staring at me and shot my hands up in the air.

"Haha! I made it JUST in time!!!", I exclaimed.

"Get.off.now," a voice said.

I looked around. Huh? No voices anywhere. Just a whole lotta stares from people. I gave a questioning look at Rantaro. It seemed like he was about to say something until I was suddenly tossed up.

"WHAT?!", I shouted as I landed on the hard ground. "How did that happen??"

"What do you THINK dummy?", I heard the voice growl. Wait, it sounded familiar but who could it be? I then saw a girl on the floor. Oh! It's Sakura! I've seen her a lot a school though she just acts all mean. I even saw at the tournament! I asked her to join the BeyClub!!! Why is she so mad though??? She just tripped and fell beside me.

As I was trying to remember what Sakura's response was to my question, I saw her glaring at me.

"Why are you mad??? Are you mad that I got to school on time??", I questioned. I didn't do anything wrong.

"YOU TACKLED ME!", she yelled as she sat up.

Ohhh, so that wasn't the cement, that was her. She doesn't have to be all rude about it though!

"Oh, haha, sorry about that. Hey, what did ya say when I asked you to join the BeyClub?? I think you said you'd think about it. So, did you think about joining? Did ya? Did ya??", I grinned.

She coldly glared at me, stood up, and walked away. Just as she was about to walk into the building, she stopped. She turned her head back to look at me straight into my eyes.

"Bey battle, on the roof, after school. See you there," she said, and without waiting for an answer, walked into the building; ignoring all the staring students.

"Hey, you okay bud?", Honcho quickly came to my side and offered his hand. "That seemed like a hard fall. Just who does that Sakura girl think she is? A queen? You shouldn't have a bey battle someone like her."

"Are you kidding?! I'm definitely gonna meet up with her to have that battle!! It's gonna be so cool and so much fun to battle someone new and make another friend!", I grinned.

Third person

The gang and Sakura carried on with their lives at school. During lunch, Valt told the rest of the BeyClub about the coming up battle. He quickly gobbled up his lunch and immediately started training with his friends, chattering about how excited he was. Nearby, Shu was listening and decided to go and see the battle.

As for Sakura, she quickly ate her lunch and spent the rest of the time she had hanging upside down and rereading her favorite book; happy memories flooding through her head with every page.

After lunch, they went back to their classes and Valt couldn't wait for the battle. Barely paying attention to his teacher, he sat through each of his classes imagining what his battle strategy would be.

Whenever the two were in the same class, Valt would smile widely at Sakura; despite her completely ignoring him.

Finally, the last class was over. Valt rushed to the roof with his friends and opened the door to see Sakura sitting confidently on the blue bench with her legs crossed.

Smirking, she said, "Prepare to lose kid."
