🌸The Double Date Pt 1/3🌸

🌸Before you read🌸

🌸Another Crossover with Kita's Legacy (someone should ban us from talking to one another about ideas as we come up with too many side projects)

🌸IF YOU HAVE NOT READ KL, HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
🌱Hikaru Akiba's Quirk is Wave Manipulation. This allows him to levitate objects and read minds. He doesn't need to physically touch someone to read minds; however, since this can be very unsettling, Akiba tells people that it's only through touch. Kita is the only person who knows otherwise because she's a special case. She actually needs him to touch her in order for him to read her mind.
🌱Hikita (KitaXHikaru) are not official in the book yet (or at least, I hope someday they will get together just like many of you hope for Taiden), but I think they would be together sooner than Taiden would, and since they're my main ship in KL, and with the author's permission, I'm allowed to do this.

🌸Again, this is dedicated to all my Taiden shippers cuz...this is it! The date y'all have been waiting for!

🌸The Set Up🌸

Ever since we had to move into the dorms, things have gotten a bit interesting to say the least. All I had to do was sit out in the commons area of the dorms and watch as my fellow classmates interacted with one another. It was so easy to tell who was falling head over heels with who in a matter of minutes.

Usually, my fellow classmates were pretty smart in figuring this out too. It didn't take long for couples to start forming without any sort of help. The first was Akiba and Kita, but I mean, if they didn't have feelings for each other after what happened during the Sports Festival, I would have been very concerned. Sure, they didn't start dating right away, but when they did, I don't think many people were surprised. Daigo tried asking out Katsumi a few times, but he was always rejected. That wasn't really a shock though as she had eyes on a boy in the Support Department. Oh, and it was kind of hard not to see that Misaki had a little crush on Sanda; although, I wasn't going to say anything as I was certain one of them would come out about it eventually.

There was only one potential couple that I was concerned about.

"You didn't have to walk with me to my dorm room," I heard Tami's voice say, snapping me away from my homework.

I lifted my head, seeing a small blonde haired girl walking alongside a giant. They were oblivious to all the eyes that were on them, but then again, they were oblivious to everything. It amazed me how they just didn't get it! Like, how did they not see how cute they were together? Sure, Tami looked like a literal child walking beside him as he was twice her height, but the amount of time they spent together...it was just so cute!

It probably didn't help that I knew Tami had a crush on him. She never said it, but she has given me major hints. If we were hanging out by ourselves, she could never talk about him without smiling or blushing for a bit. No one did that when they were talking about Raiden Yamamoto. I mean, the guy was terrifying-looking as he was the tallest in our class and had muscles that we all knew could double in size whenever he wanted. Once you got to know him, sure, he wasn't that bad, but it was just different seeing someone so terrifying looking walking around with a cinnamon roll all the time. There was no way they were just friends.

That only meant one thing; one of them had to have had a crush on the other, but I knew differently. I could tell as he just looked down at her. Raiden never smiled, but now, it was so easy to tell it was taking everything in him not to.

Everything about the two was so sweet! How they weren't dating was beyond me.

"It's fine. Besides, I need a bit of a cool down walk after all the training we did," Raiden claimed. It was evident it was a lie, but Tami just bought it as she nodded her head.

Wow, those two were utterly clueless. I mean, there was a chance Raiden was just hiding his own feelings, but I worried there was some honest truth in that. If only there was some way to get inside his head and figure out, maybe I could give him that extra push he needed. Though, he wouldn't listen to me. He probably wouldn't listen to anyone.

Knowing how Tami was, she would second guess everything.

"Hey, what did you get for number three on the math homework," someone asked.

For a moment, I forgot who was sitting by me in the 1-B common area, so I just kept my eyes on both Tami and Raiden. They were still talking, but now it was much quieter than before. I couldn't even hear what they were saying.

"Hello, Earth to Sakura," the same voice pestered a bit.

My eyes shot open before I turned, finding a dark haired girl with stylish purple highlights. Of course, the purple highlights weren't really a fashion choice as this girl was born with them, but it really suited her well. Her hair was just a shade darker than her skin, but her highlights complimented her Quirk as she created deadly flowers.

I looked down, realizing what we were doing. I promised a girl from 1-A to help her with her math homework in exchange for a few gymnastic lessons. Admittedly, I might have told her I wanted her to teach me a few tricks just because I wanted to use them in combat, but in reality, there were other reasons.

One of them being that we could use the gym here at U.A., where I could keep an eye out on Tami and Raiden while they trained. I wasn't convinced they only trained, but every time we were there, or walked in, that was all they did. Sometimes, they'd talk, but it was never anything serious.

"Sorry Misaki," I apologized. "What was number three again?"

The girl turned her head, probably catching a glimpse of my dream couple to be, before sighing. "Spying on them again?"

"Yes," I told her. "But you have to admit, they'd make an adorable couple."

Her eyes widened. "Wait, they're not dating? I thought this whole time they were dating, but just were keeping it quiet."

I shook my head. "They're not! I've been trying to drop hints to both of them since May, and neither one would get the hint. I mean, it's one thing not to like each other, but it's clear that they do. I mean, I know that Tami likes him, but she'd never admit it out loud, so it's just getting Raiden to actually speak up for once."

Misaki was still in shock once I was done. Her facial expression didn't seem to move an inch. I could almost see the little gears inside her head moving as she didn't want to believe that they were really not a thing.

"Oh my gosh," she gasped. "You're not joking, but this whole time..."

"Yeah," I told her.

"And back when—"

"Yup," I answered.

"They weren't—"

"Nope."

"Okay, but they can't really be that dense can they?"

"They can," I explained. "Oh trust me on that one. You know, before Tami even liked him, she went out with Kaito. The only reason they went out, and I mean the only reason they went out, was because he flirted with her like crazy that day, helped her out of a...sticky situation, and accidentally asked her out. I tell you, if that all didn't happen in one day, she would've been clueless to her own feelings as much as his."

Misaki blinked. That was all she did.

"So, as you can see, they're hopeless on this whole thing," I concluded. "It's just a matter of figuring out if we can get Raiden to actually make the first move."

There was no way that could happen though. I tried everything. Literally, everything. I played truth and dare with Raiden, and dared him to ask her out. Tami, unfortunately, was not around, and he made up some lame excuse I couldn't quite remember. The next time, I forced them in the same room, doing the same trick, only this time, he answered with truth. When I asked who the prettiest girl in the room was, he outsmarted me again, saying that he didn't understand what made something pretty.

Clearly, he knew, but he just was dodging everything. Then again, his friend, Kaito, was in the room every time. I was certain the two would have gotten over everything. I mean, Tami and Kaito would have never worked in a million years, but maybe he felt guilty for some reason? I asked Kaito about it, and he told me that he told Raiden that he was cool if Raiden wanted to date Tami if he wanted to. For once, Kaito seemed pretty genuine with that answer, so I knew it wasn't that.

I'd flat out ask Raiden who he liked. Sometimes, I tried getting on his competitive side to force him to ask Tami out on a date. No matter what I did, nothing worked.

"Sakura," Misaki said, surprising me that her tone wasn't full of disbelief anymore. Instead, there was a spark of mischief in it. "I think I have an idea on how to get those two together."

While I didn't want to shoot down Misaki's idea, I knew the idea was pointless. I simply raised an eyebrow, waiting to hear more of what her plan was.

"What if I said, I have a friend that could get inside Yamamoto's mind, figure out how to get those two to finally go out, all while they were going on their first date?" Misaki asked.

This time, it was me who was shocked. I knew exactly who she was talking about, but I never considered him helping out. If Misaki could figure a way to get him roped in on this, Raiden and Tami could be a thing...

"I'd be blown out of my mind," I told her, "and I'll be forever grateful that I no longer have to be tortured with the fact that they'd make a cute couple because they'd be a cute couple."

Misaki smiled. "Then consider yourself lucky, because I know the exact person, or should I say, couple, that can help us out."

Hearing that was like hearing I had just won a free shopping spree to the mall. My mouth curved up into a huge smile as she said that. I didn't care if I should have been helping Misaki with her math homework; we had more important matters to attend to first.

By the end of this week, Raiden and Tami were going to become boyfriend and girlfriend. I just knew it!

🌸🌸🌸

Our plan relied on two people, a very famous couple here at U.A. Honestly, I couldn't believe I didn't think of it sooner, but I was so ecstatic that Misaki did. All I had to do was help out a little bit in convincing her that Tami needed this.

The plan all started by roping in Kita. She was the one dating Akiba, who had a Quirk that allowed him to read other people's thoughts when he touched them. We couldn't straight up ask Akiba to just use his Quirk on Raiden because there was a good chance he'd just reject it. Misaki didn't even need to tell me that because I had seen this guy walk the halls before, and he just gave off those cold vibes not to ask him about anything. Sure, there were times when he was with others, and he unintentionally lightened up a bit, but it wasn't enough that Misaki could ask him for help.

For me, a complete stranger, to ask, well, I knew it'd never go well.

If we wanted our plan to work, we needed to convince Kita that they were our only hope to get Tami and Raiden together. The girl has hung around Tami a lot as I remember Tami telling me how she taught her some muay thai and hung out. I've hung around Kita before, and she was pretty nice, so the chances of her saying yes to this was pretty high.

Still, Misaki wanted me to come. I wasn't sure why, but I guess it was best since we both came up with the plan together on how this whole thing would work.

Misaki knocked on Kita's door, and the two of us waited until it opened, revealing the pink-haired girl we needed to talk to. She was in her athletic clothes—which consisted of black yoga pants and a tank top that was tight at the top but flowy on the bottom—and a gym bag in her arms. It didn't take a genius for anyone to realize that she was going to the school's gym to practice some muay thai, but she certainly wasn't expecting to see Misaki and me here.

"Hey," Kita greeted, looking at both of us a bit suspiciously. "What's up?"

"Oh, nothing," Misaki explained. "Is it okay if we came in? Sakura and I need to talk to you about something."

Kita raised an eyebrow, but didn't say a word as she opened the door to her room, silently inviting us in. I looked around, taking in all the decor Kita had. It was covered in pinks, grays, and whites, whether it was from the comforter to the lanterns that were hung up around her room. One one side, there was a white desk filled with make-up that would explain how her facials features looked on point.

Honestly, her room really fitted her personality.

While Kita invited us to sit, I just leaned against the wall. Misaki, who was clearly more comfortable, plopped down on the gigantic bed. Kita looked over at me for a moment, almost as if she was going to offer for me to sit down again, but she thought against it as she sat on the chair by her desk.

The pink-haired girl scratched the back of her golden horn. There were some Quirks that made people have animal-like qualities, and Kita's Quirk was one of them. Instead of normal ears, she had pink fluffy ears that stuck out in the middle of her golden horns that wrapped around them.

"What do you guys want to talk about?" Kita asked.

Before I could explain, Misaki jumped to the question as she leaned towards Kita. "Did you know that Yamamoto and Tami aren't actually dating?"

I slapped my hand on my forehead. Here, I thought Misaki had this all under control. Clearly she didn't. Not if she still couldn't get over the fact that they weren't dating.

Of course, Kita just chuckled at her comment. "Well, yeah, but I'm sure they have a reason for taking it slow."

"No, they don't," I said. "They're as blind as a pair of bats! Trust me. I've known Tami since she moved here, and she's not one to ever confess how she truly feels."

"Okay," Kita said as she looked over at me. "So what are you two exactly planning to do?"

Misaki grinned at Kita's question. It was the one thing we had her hooked. Now, it was time to reel her in with our plan and get her on board with it all.

There was no doubt in my mind Kita would go along with this. She'd have to. In the short time Tami knew her, I could tell she trusted the 1-A girl a bit better than most people. If Kita was in on this plan, Tami would be completely clueless as to what was going on, but not completely clueless that if Raiden were to pop the question of those two going out, that she'd say no.

Kita was our only hope for getting our hopeless couple together.

"We want you and Akiba to go on a double date with Yamamoto and Tami, but we're just going to tell them that we're all going to go as a group. At the last minute, everyone will suddenly be busy, leaving you four together. While there, Akiba will use his mind reading Quirk on Yamamoto—those two will have to sit next to each other, obviously, so Akiba can touch Yamamoto without him being aware of it—and he can get him to just say all these great things about Tami, and eventually give him the courage to just ask her out," Misaki explained.

The pink haired girl frowned at our plan. Seeing it, I could tell we were losing her. I knew Miksaki said I should have been quiet for the most part while she convinced her friend about the entire plan, but this was going to go nowhere. We needed her on board with this now!

"It's not like we're asking Akiba to look inside Tami's brain," I explained. "Besides, you and Akiba will get to go on a date too, and it will be so cute that you get to be the first ones to say you got to go on the first double date with Tami and Raiden."

I thought there was no way of hearing Kita say no to that. I mean, who wouldn't want to go on a double date with Tami and Raiden once they became a thing? They'd be so cute! I could almost picture it inside my head. Raiden would have been so protective over her, making sure no one hurt her or said anything rude to her. Tami would have been the one to hold him back a bit, so he wasn't a complete jerk. Not that Raiden was known to be a jerk or anything, but he did have his moments.

Somehow, Tami brought out the best in him. I might not have known him as long as other people, but I did notice there was a change whenever he was around Tami or her name was brought up. He seemed to have held back a bit. Whenever she wasn't around, well, he'd still try to be a better person, sure, but there were moments when Raiden Yamamoto would be the definition of a literal nightmare.

Everyone could see how perfect could be if they became an official couple. There was no way Kita could say—

"No," Kita said. "I mean, it's nice that you two want to help them, but don't you think it'd be a bit much for Tami?"

"Pft, too much?" I gave out a short laugh. "Sorry, but this is Tami we're talking about. If she could handle the amount of shit she has in the past year, she can go on one date. It might be a good break for her honestly. Besides, think about it this way; you'll be there to keep her calm. If she seems a bit anxious, you can just get her off topic and have her talk about something else."

"C'mon Kita, please! Can you please do this for us?" Misaki begged.

We stared at Kita for a moment as she contemplated what to do. Her hand scratched the back of her golden horn as she thought things through. She was thinking about it. That meant I just needed to say one more thing to get her on board with this entire thing. Just what was it I could say that could really get her on board with it?

C'mon, think Sakura, think, I thought to myself. If I was Kita, what would be the number one selling point that would make me want to to help get these two together. Kita was pretty caring, and she was always thinking about others. I mean, she had to be with the amount of time she and Tami hung out. Sure, it wasn't as much time as Tami and I hung out, but it was still a lot. I already told her that she could just talk to Tami if things got a bit out of hand, but what else. What else could make Kita want to go on a double date with Tami and Raiden.

That was when it hit me. I placed my hand on my hip as I tapped my cheek with my free hand.

"I think you know as well as we do that Tami likes Raiden," I told Kita, "She just has a bit of trouble expressing that. If we can just give her a little nudge, I'm sure this date would be the happiest day of her life. We just need your help, Kita, so please, can you do this? Not for us, but for Tami?"

Whether Kita knew it or not, she smiled at thought. A smile started to creep on my own face as I realized it was working. There was no way around it.

"Fine," Kita quickly gave in. "But just this once to help. If they're not ready for a relationship, then they're not ready. I don't want to force anything on them."

Misaki and I exchanged looks, smiling as we did.

"But you've got to admit," Misaki stated, "they'd make an adorable couple if this works."

"When this works," I corrected, looking back at Kita. My hands clapped together as I took in a deep breath. "Okay, now, let's get to the game plan. We've got a lot to plan and very little time."

"Oh boy," Kita exhaled, probably wondering what in the world she had gotten herself into.

But, we all knew it was for the best. The fate of Tami and Raiden ever getting together rested in Kita and Akiba's hands. If anyone could do it, it was them.
