All their comments were right. I know he wasn't no good but I still dealt with him because I loved him. He was my first so I thought I had no choice but to love him.

Nia: " Look Kenz, you like another sister to me. So you can hang out with us come on."

Kelsey: "Girl ya, you got booty and breast and brains. The 3 B's a man loves."

We all laughed, with tears still in my eyes. They knew how to make me smile. "Alright y'all, y'all do ahead outside I'll be out later"

"Ight girl" they all said and left my room and out my house.

"Maybe its for the best" I said to myself. I walked up to a mirror and I couldn't see a pretty thing about me.

"Your ugly, no one will ever be with you," I said to myself.

I saw my razor, grabbed it and began carving the word Hate into my arm.

I just closed my eyes as the blood slowly trickled down my arm. I felt a lil relieved.

I started taking out style I had gotten with my dreads.

I put a sweater on to hide my scars and some sweatpants that hugged my hips and thighs, and walked down the street to Nia house.

I noticed a red car in their yard and I saw a few people hanging out around it.

I see Nia, Meisha, Kelsey, Tre (Nia's crush), his twin brother Trayvon, Cameron.

Their was another person there but I couldn't make them out because their back was to me.

I continued walking up until Nia saw me.

"Hey girl, I thought you never come down. Aye I want you to me et one of my old friends," she said walking over to me.

Remind you now, I'm in sweats and I'm taking my dreads out of a style so I look tore up.

"BK, this my girl MacKenzie or Kenz" she said to the person. They turned around and my eyes grew.

She looked at me with big eyes as well. "Oh wow" we both said.

"What" Nia was so lost.

"She's in my class at school. So your name's MacKenzie huh??"

"Yes, Brooklyn" I said smiling.

She smiled back a million dollar smile. I couldn't help but smile even wider. What is this girl doing to me. I don't even know her but she doing something to me.

We all hung out at Nia's house. I was talking to Trey while Nia was catching up with Brooklyn.

"Mane Nia find me a girl mane in Staff" "You don't want no girl from Staff, they all hoes"

For some reason I grew offensive. Cuz one I ain't no dam hoe.

"Umm bitch, I ain't no hoe," I said referring to Nia and Brooklyn conversation.

I walked over to them and they were laughing.

"What about this one Nia" "Yea she good and she got a fat ass" Nia said slapping my ass and running.

That shit stung so bad, she laughed her ass off.

Brooklyn was laughing so I walked away. I hate when Nia do things that be embrassing me.

An hour later, we were outside and Nia and Brooklyn were inside talking.

A minute later, Nia ran out of the door and attacked me.

She almost made me fall, "Trick the fuck is wrong with you?" "Girl Brookyln likes you she wants you to come inside and talk to her."

My face dropped and I became instantly shy.

Not that she was a girl or anything but the fact someone wanted to talk to me. What was I going to say? What was she going to say?

I slowly walked to her door, breathed in and walked inside the house and saw Brooklyn sitting on he couch.

"Hi"

"H-Hi"
