E6 • S1 - Chapter Six

SAMIRA.

The evening sun was setting as Samira and Aisha arrived back at their hotel room from their Jaipur trip. Their hearts were full of the city's beauty and vibrancy, but exhaustion soon settled in. After a quiet dinner and a few laughs about their travel stories, Samira drifted off to sleep.

Aisha on the other hand, couldn't sleep. She was worried about her boyfriend, he had called her earlier to ask her to come home as early as possible, he wanted to talk about some personal matter which can't be spoken on phone calls. She had all the negative thoughts running in her mind which kept her from sleeping.

She took out her phone and search for flight available for Jaipur to Goa, their homeplace. As soon as she found few flights, she booked a ticket for morning.

"I just hope Samira would understand," She mumbled while taking out her bags and started packing up.

_

Samira shifted in her sleep. It was unusual for her to move while she is sleeping, she slept like a rock, not moving at all. Sometimes that scared her parents, whenever they try to wake her up she never stirred.

Unlike today, she was in deep sleep yet she changed her sides, and moved her ants were on her body.

This was happening because she was dreaming, about a greater force, probably.

Her dream began with a shimmering, moonlit desert stretching out beneath a blanket of stars.

Samira stood alone on the cool, golden sand, her heart racing with a mix of anticipation and apprehension. A gentle breeze carried the scent of jasmine and ancient secrets.

From the shimmering horizon, a figure emerged. Clad in a flowing Rajasthani robe with intricate embroidery, the man's eyes sparkled with an otherworldly light. His presence was both commanding and comforting.

"Samira," he said, his voice resonating with an echo. "You have been chosen. Your journey is far from over."

Samira's breath hitched.

"Chosen for what?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.

"There is magic within you that is waiting to be discovered," the man replied. "You must travel to Meerut. There, you will find the ancient scrolls hidden in the temples. They hold the key to unlocking your powers."

"But why Meerut?" Samira asked, confusion etched in her features. "I don't understand."

"The path to awakening is often cloaked in mystery," he said with a serene smile. He held her wrist and closed his eyes. A bright yellow bime emerged from his palms.

"Trust in the journey, and you will find your way." He said as an electric current passed through Samira's arms.

As his figure began to fade into the desert's mist, Samira reached out, but the dream dissolved around her.

She awoke with a start, her heart pounding and the man's words echoing in her mind.

"What the fuck was that?!" She whispered to herself, as she got up to drink water. On her way to the other room, where Aisha was staying - and where Samira had kept her bottle - she saw few bags packed and kept near the door.

She frowned before Aisha came in her view, who gulped looking at Samira. Before either of them could speak, Aisha saw something on her sister's shoulder, and pointed it out.

Samira glanced at her shoulder in the mirror before getting the biggest shock of her life.

"A tattoo?!"
