"Do what you have to do" one of the scientists whisper in Lydia's ear as she walks past him, trembling. She nods, taking in all the people that could somehow fit into the small laboratory. The door to the shuttle opened, making a noise like those space doors make in the movies. She hops inside the strange shaped room, before trying to find a place to focus her eyes so she won't cry. All the cheers and all the laughter is haunting, and before she knows it the doors are being closed.

Lydia presses her face up against the small window, and with reassured looks from the scientist, she sits on the blue leather chair in the middle of the room, and looks about. The room is circular, with a rectangular dip where the window is. there is a spherical silver tube reaching from the floor to the ceiling to the left of her, and a desk with hundreds of buttons she'd rather not touch in fear of blowing the whole thing up.

She knew how long the journey would be, a couple of days at most. The scientists explained how a trip this big couldn't be journeyed any faster, without risk of damaging the the shuttle. There was food in the fridge, which she could't see so she presumed it was in another room, and there was a bed somewhere too. Televisions to keep track of what was happening at home, and a communication system, to keep hold of the Scientists.

A loud speaking noise at a high frequency sounded before she heard a mans voice.

"Are you ready Lydia?" The man asked, obviously excited. Lydia nodded. "good" He continued. "Take off in 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Blast off!!" The shuttle began to shake, the lights on the communication desk blinking wildly. It shook more and more violently, and Lydia began to feel sick. Then the shaking stopped. She looked around, thinking it was fine now, before a tremendous force came upon her. She screamed, as the pressure was two much for any person, before collapsing unconscious in her seat.

It's a competition to see if we can update every week, and if we don't update for two weeks in a row, we have to buy each other food.
