♕ EPILOGUE

Rose's wedding dress at the side ----->

"Oh my gosh, you look so beautiful, Rose!!" Lily squealed, clapping both her hands as she observed Rose up and down. "The dress is so... WOW!"

Rose smiled as she swayed from side to side. "Thanks, Lily," she said and was about to hug her friend before she stepped backwards. Lily frowned, pointing a finger to her nose. "Don't hug people. You don't want to ruin the dress," she warned.

Rose sighed. "Fine," she gave in and turned herself to the big mirror. The dress fitted perfectly to her body. It was a strapless white dress with ruffles on the skirt. Her hair was braided with little curls escaping around her face and a tiara was placed on top - she looked flawless. Cassidy went out of the bathroom in her bridesmaid's pink dress.

"And the bridesmaid's dress is beautiful too!" she chirped, dancing around. Lily nodded excitedly and joined her to dance around the bedroom. "You're so lucky, Rose," she said. Rose folded her arms to her chest and laughed with her friends. Yes, she's lucky - very very lucky. "Thanks guys for being my bridesmaids," she said.

"Aw, no problem. We're glad to help but you have to be ours on our wedding!" Lily smiled. Rose bit her lips. "Your wedding? You mean, with Alan?" she teased her. Lily blushed immediately and cleared her throat. "I didn't say anyone's name, Rose," she said, frowning slightly.

Cassidy shook her head and held her shoulder. "Lily, can't you just say yes to him?" she sighed. "Alan's serious with you!"

Lily ignored her.

"Yeah. She's right. I mean, he's a player before this but I think he's serious with you. You have to give him a chance, Lil. Just like how I gave Seth a chance," Rose added, trying to convince her friend. "And then you'll have your fairytale just like Rose!" Cassidy said in awe.

"Shut up, guys. I don't want to talk about him," she said firmly. "It's Rose's wedding today so we are supposed to talk about her, not me,"

"I don't mind talking about you. Oh, you'll be sitting beside him later, Lily. I've arranged your place," Rose  said, winking her eye. Lily's mouth fell open. "What? Rose!" she screamed.

Cassidy raised an eyebrow. "You have to be thankful. Guess who I'll be sitting with? Rose's special taxi driver," she said, glaring at Rose.

Lily was taken aback. "You mean, Pablo? The driver who helped Rose?" she joked. Rose was laughing hard. "Hey, he's cute! And he's kind. You should be thankful too, Cass," she said, sarcasms hitting every syllable of words.

"HA HA HA," Cassidy said sarcastically.

It was just a few minutes before Rose Humprey will become Rose Larston again. She looked out the window and she wondered for a while what was Seth doing. She smiled all by herself as she imagined his panic face. She was panicking too - her heart was beating fast since morning. She woke up three o'clock in the morning because she couldn't sleep that night.

The door creaked open and a bodyguard made his way into her room. The last time, she felt annoyed by the guard but this time, she was thankful that the guard showed up and she was excited to see him. He bowed down and like always, he was wearing a black tuxedo and black shades - typical Men In Black looks.

"It's time, Princess," he said, smiling at her. Wow, did he just smile? Rose grinned and looked at her friends. "It's time, guys," she squealed happily, holding both their hands in hers. Lily made a serious expression, looking into her eyes. "Remember, don't panic and don't hug anyone as you don't want to destroy your dress and hair," she said.

"What if Seth wants to hug me?"

It took some moments before Lily said, "Well, after the ceremony ended and you're official married to him, then you can hug him,"

Rose took a long breath. "Right," she said, her hands are shivering. Her blood pressure increased so did her heart beating. She made her first step towards the guard and tried her best to walk properly. She never got used to her high heels.

Her heart thumped every time she made her steps. Lily and Cassidy was walking behind her and now, had a bouquet of roses in their hands.

She was getting married in the castle's garden. Rose had always wanted her wedding to be a garden wedding. She preferred a garden wedding instead of getting married in the dull castle hall.

She felt the journey to the garden were longer than usual and she kept mumbling the words that she has to say during the wedding ceremony. Rose turned to a corner and her heart skipped a beat as the garden is just a few meters from her. As she almost reached the bridal entrance, she heard the music start to play.

She pulled a deep breath. "This is it, Rose," she muttered under her breath as she was just inches from the bridal entrance. The guest was looking at her as she walked, making her feel more nervous. Madam Hartford passed a bouquet of roses to her and she took it from her hands. She was about to hug her before Lily cleared her throat, warning her.

Typical Lily Downs.

Rose smiled brightly as she stepped into the entrance, lifting her eyes to look at her future husband.

He looked goddamn handsome in his black tuxedo that fitted him perfectly. He looked at her in awe and she could tell that he was impressed by her looks. Not just him, everyone was impressed. The dress is just too perfect.

Rose's eyes locked into his as she made her way to him, walking in slow motion. The sun was shining brightly and the blue sky streaked with fluffy white clouds.

Beautiful light pink roses were placed at the end of each row. Silk and lace, all looped and tied to the chairs, following the aisle. A red carpet ran the length to the wedding arbor where Seth was standing. Everything was decorated amazing and it was a fairytale wedding.

Rose finally arrived by his side and she smiled at him. Seth smiled back and leaned in to her ear. "You look very beautiful. But I still wish that you wear something shorter," he whispered through her ear, making her heart shivers. Rose flicked her eyes to him. " See. You were too attracted to me," she grinned.

Seth laughed and was about to kiss her before the Vicar cleared his throat. "Can we start now?" the Vicar said in a skeptical tone. Rose blushed and she nodded to the Vicar.

"Wait," Seth said and he gazed into her eyes. He took both her hands into his. "I love you, Rose" he said honestly.

"I love you too, Seth," Rose replied and there's no words that could describe how happy she was. Seth is the sweetest guy in the whole world and they will be united in just a few minutes - how perfect is that?

"You may begin your vow," The vicar said, increasing his volume and everyone went silent completely to hear their vow.

Seth coughed before he started his vow. "I, Seth Larston, choose you, Rose Humprey to be my wife again. In front of our families and friends gathered here, I promise to love you and cherish you throughout the good times and bad times,"

Rose smiled and breathed in. "I, Rose Humprey, choose you, Seth Larston to be my husband again. In front of our wonderful families and weird friends gathered here, I promise to love you and cherish you throughout the good times and bad times,"

Seth continued, "I promise to act like a monkey so that you will laugh in time of distress, cry with you, encourage you to achieve your goals and grow with you in my mind,"

Rose laughed, clearing her throat. "Hmm, I promise to act like a simpleton forever so that you won't get bored, cry with you like a baby and be there for you all the time,"

"I vow to love you for as long as I live,"

"I vow to love you for as long as I live," Rose repeated and her eyes were filled in with tear. Some of the guests were crying too. Princess Carla wiped a tear and smiled as she heard their vow.

Alan motioned nearer to him and he was holding their wedding rings. Seth had bought a new one, a pink diamond ring for her. Alan opened the box for him and Seth took it slowly. He thanked Alan before he turned his eyes back to Rose.

"Take this ring as a seal upon the marriage vows I have spoken, and as you wear it, may it be a reminder of how much I love you, not only on this precious day, but every single of your life," Seth said, sliding the ring onto her finger.

Rose and Seth stared at each other for a moment before the Vicar finally said the magic word, "I pronounce you husband and wife,"

As soon as he started to say, "You may kiss your bride," Seth was already kissing her. The feeling of her lips on his, the way her arms went up to loop around his neck, the way her body crushed against his as he pulled her closer, made his heart race in his chest. He was married again.  Married to the most beautiful, incredible, funny, smart and thoughtful girl on the planet.

Seth tightened his arms and lifted her off her feet, spinning a little circle which made her giggle against his lips. "I love you, Mrs Larston," he whispered, looking deeply into her eyes. His future was mapped inside her eyes. Everything would be alright and perfect as long as Rose Humprey is Seth Larston's. He couldn't wait to start his future with her in his arms.

"I love you too, Mr Larston," Rose said, between the gap of their lips. She crashed her lips against his and kissed him just like it was their first kiss. Everyone disappeared from their sight and they almost forgot that people were looking at them.

The vicar coughed. "I think the guests had been waiting for too long," he said, faking a smile. Seth pulled his lips away and he set Rose down. "Er, right," he said awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.

Rose blushed and she stared at her husband. "You never learn, don't you?" she teased, pinching his nose playfully. "Don't worry. We can do that every single day, hours and minutes after this,"

Seth smiled and kissed her forehead. "I'm looking forward to that," he said, winking his eyes and made Rose laughed. Rose and Seth turned their eyes to the guests and everyone were clapping their hands. Alan laughed, shaking his head anonymously. Lexie was screaming excitedly at them with Queen Carla glaring at her.

Cassidy and Lily were in tears as they stood at the side. Everyone that she cared was here, on her wedding day. Rose waved her hand to her family and they waved back. Ethan was looking more excited that her parents. Rose almost laughed when she saw Jace, trying to be cool and act like he's a charming man. That's so unlike him.

Rose looped her hand through his arm and they stepped down from the wedding arbor, heading towards their families. Rose hugged everyone with Lily's sharp eyes on her every time she hugged someone.

"This is such a beautiful wedding," Princess Meredith said in awe. "Never thought you both would get married twice," she smiled at both of them. She was happier and healthier now. She felt happy when she knew Seth and Rose got back together and decided to do another wedding.

Rose laughed. "Yeah. It's funny, actually," she said truthfully. She looked around; she saw Alan and Lily at the drinks table and Alan was trying hard to talk to her. Sometimes, she wondered why Lily refused to give him a chance. It has been three months of chasing but nothing seems to work between them.

She looked down as soon as she remembered about Alex. It has been three months since the last time she had met him. She didn't know where he'd gone too. Some said he's still in Andorra but there's been news about him in London. She could only wish that he is safe, wherever he lived.

"Seth," Rose whispered slowly to her husband. Seth leaned his ear closer to her. "What?" he asked bewildered. She pointed her finger at their friends. "Lily and Alan. Is there anything you can do about them? It has been three months," she sighed.

"Ask your best friend," Seth said in a numbness tone. "Alan won't give up. I know that guy," . A guest came at them and Seth shook hands with him. "Thank you," he said when the guest congratulated them on their wedding. Rose gave a smile before the guest went away.

Rose sighed. "Lily's stubborn. She won't listen to me," she said slowly. Seth wrapped his arm around her. "Don't worry about them too much. Today is just about you and me," he said, smiling genuinely at her.

"Yeah. Just you and me," Rose said, looking into his eyes. She wished this kind of moment wouldn't end forever. Seth and Rose Larston moment. Rose blinked her eyes, making sure that she wasn't dreaming. She tried pinching her arm and it hurt. True enough, she wasn't dreaming. True happiness; that's what she was experiencing. Something that couldn't be exchanged with money or gold.

"Rose! You have to throw your bouquet!" she heard Cassidy's voice calling to her. Rose craned her neck to behind her and saw the girls were ready to catch her flower. Seth shook his head and laughed. "Your fans are waiting for you," he joked.

Rose giggled and she walked towards them, holding Seth's hand. Madam Hartford passed a bouquet of pink roses to her. Rose took it from her hands and she beamed at the single girls who was crowding in front of her ; Cassidy and Lexie were in the front row.

She tried to look around for Lily but she was nowhere to be found. "Where's Lily?" she asked, her eyes wandering around in search for her. Cassidy shrugged her shoulders quizzically. "You know her, Rose. She never like this kind of things. She thinks this is stupid," she said.

"I don't care what she thinks. Where's she?" she said, her eyes were still looking around. She finally spotted her, standing by the table. "Lily!" she called and made a hand gesture to ask her to join them. Lily shook her head, raising both her hands up in the air. Rose frowned. "Come on! It's my wedding!"

"Yeah, Lily. Come on!" Seth said, trying to help Rose. He knew why Rose wanted Lily to catch the flower so badly. Lily sighed but gave in to her friends. "I can't believe you're making me do this," she said, taking her place next to Cassidy.

"It's fun!" Cassidy chirped and she was ready to catch the flower. Lexie who was standing beside them, nodded in agreement. She made a focus expression and ready to compete with Cassidy. No matter what, she must catch the bouquet. Cassidy glanced at Lexie and she knew she wanted the bouquet as much as she wanted it.

Seth stepped backwards, to give Rose some space to throw her bouquet. Rose turned her back to them. "Ready, guys?" she asked, holding the bouquet to her chest. The girls cheered to tell her that they were ready.

Rose smiled at Seth before she closed her eyes. In her heart, she wished that Lily would catch it. Rose lifted the bouquet before she threw it backwards.

Cassidy and Lexie looked up at the sky as they waited for the bouquet to reach them. They pushed each other, trying their best to win the game. Cassidy stretched her arm, hoping the bouquet would fall on her hands. She had believed the tale about who caught the bride's bouquet will get married right after her.

Instead, the bouquet of roses fell in front of Lily and no one caught it. She stared at the roses before she leaned down, picking it up. Rose smiled and she hugged her. "Yeay! You caught it!" she chirped, hugging her tightly. Lexie and Cassidy frowned, sulking as they didn't manage to catch the flower.

Lily sighed. "Technically, I didn't. The bouquet fell on the floor and no one caught it, Rose," she said cynically. Rose shrugged and let go of her. "Duh, like I care?" she said, laughing. "I'm happy that you picked it up though," she winked her eye at her.

"Why?"

"Because..." Rose trailed off as she gestured Lily to face Alan. He was smiling at her and it was genuine. "Can't you see it, Lily?" she whispered, convincing her friend. "He looks at you the way Seth looks at me,"

Lily didn't say anything as she beamed on Alan. She hated to admit it but Rose told the truth. Slowly, she curved a smile at him and he startled. Maybe he was shocked to see Lily smiling at him as she never did reply any of his smile before. Alan smiled back and it might be the start of something new.

Life's a riddle. We just need to figure it out.

Seth walked back to his wife and wrapped his arms around her. "You did a great job, sweetheart. Lily just smiled at Alan," she praised her, kissing the side of her head. Rose nodded excitedly. "Yup, who knows, Lily might just become the startled billionaire," she joked.

Seth laughed. "Yeah. Just like you, the startled Princess Rose," he teased, tightening his arm around her. He whispered, "I love you, Princess Rose," as he bent his head down to her lips.

Rose couldn't still believe her luck. Knowing Seth Larston were the best thing that ever happened to her and their arranged marriage were something that she would be thankful for every single day and night.

"I love you too, Prince Seth," she said as she pressed her lips against his. Everything happens for a reason - Rose believed it now. Fate brought them together in such a unique way that no one would have expected it.

7 years later,

"Sophie!"

Sophia Annaliese Larston ignored her mother and she kept running around the garden happily. Her long brown hair that had been tied in a pony tail swayed from side to side as she ran. "Catch me if you can!" she screamed, speeding her run.

Rose panted for breath. "Sophie, please. If your Grandma sees you running around, she'll be angry," she said, trying to catch her daughter. Sophie stopped to run. "Will she be here?" she asked, wearing an excited expression.

Rose crouched down and she took her hands. "Of course she will. Grandma got back here just for your birthday," she said, pinching her cheeks. Her daughter was turning five today. She wrinkled her nose as she looked around. "Now, where's Daddy and Alex had gone to," she said, eyes wandering around the garden compound.

"I know where they are. Alex's room; Playstation 3," Sophie said, rolling her eyes. Her older brother and her Dad never did stop playing that thing since he bought it for Alex's birthday. Since then, not only Alex played that game for 24 hours but also, her Dad.

Rose shook her head. "Yeah. You're probably right," she blurted. "Never mind. Let's just hope that they'll be down in a few minutes or I'll go upstairs and seize that thing. It's really annoying," she frowned before she turned her eyes to her daughter. "I can't believe you're already five,"

"I'm a big girl now, isn't it?" Sophie chirped, smiling brightly. Rose cupped her face. "You are, honey," she said, smiling convincingly. Her daughter takes almost everything of hers. At five years old, she had her long reddish brown hair and her dark chocolate eyes. Sophie's a cheerful little girl and she loves ballet too. That kid was Rose Humprey through and through.

"Uncle Alan and Aunt Lily will be here too?" Sophie asked again, eagerly. She had always loved to meet everyone. Rose nodded, smiling assuringly. "Now, let's get ready for the party. Can you help me?"

"Sure," Sophie said brightly as she took Rose's hand and walked towards the food table. Madam Hartford and the maids were busy preparing for the birthday party. Sophie looked up at Rose, squeezing her arm. "Where's my cake?" she asked curiously.

"You'll see it later, honey," Rose answered. Then, she heard familiar voices laughing from behind her. Rose folded her arms to her chest as she watched Seth and their son, Alex, motioning towards them. "So, who won?" she asked sarcastically.

"Me!" Alex chirped, nudging Seth. "Dad never got passed the dragons," he told her about their game.

"Yeah. Whatever," Seth shrugged before he crouched down in front of Sophie. "Happy birthday, sweetheart," he wished, kissing her cheek. Sophie hugged him. "Thanks, daddy,"

Rose smiled by herself as she watched them. Everything was so perfect these few years. They had their first born, Alex Larston, a year after their wedding and Sophie, two years later. Rose named him after Alex, her best friend that she hadn't met for years. Nevertheless, she knew that Alex was still around and they would be best friend forever.

She'd received letters from him. He told her that he was doing great in London and he'd always think about her. Alex pursued his studies in photography and now, he's one of the best photographers in the world. She replied his letters and told him everything about her life. He was delighted when he knew that Rose had kids and happy that she named her son by his name.

Princess Christina, from what she heard, was in London too. The last time she'd met her was five years ago. She came to apologize to them and realized that she was guilty for everything. She followed Alex to London and built a new life there - a life without hatred and vengeance.

Seth rose up to his feet and he beamed at the love of his life who was pensive. Slowly, he wrapped his arm around her hips. He kissed her neck. "You look beautiful," he smiled,  dragging his eyes over her. Rose just seemed to get more and more beautiful as time went on. With every passing years, his love for her grew more and more.

Rose chuckled and she'd known Seth would love her dress. The dress was pale pink and strapless; it was short, making her legs look incredibly long. She stroked his chest, looking at him up and down. "And you look... Overdressed?"

Seth rolled his eyes. "Nice choice of word, simpleton," he said. Rose laughed and she a quick kiss on his lips. "I really don't know what to say about you. You wear almost the same thing every day. Tuxedo." she complained.

"But different colors," he protested.

Before Rose could even continue her rant, she saw Alan and Lily walking towards them. Lily looked beautiful in her pale blue long dress and her hair had been brought up.  "Hey, guys," Alan greeted them and Lily waved her hand.

Rose raised an eyebrow. "You came here together?" she asked, teasing them. Lily blushed, playing with her fingers. "No, we bumped into each other at the entrance," she lied. Alan shook his head, laughing. He didn't know why she'd still refused to admit everything.

"Right," Rose said skeptically and she didn't believe her for a second. "Now, we just have to wait for your mother and father. Then, we can blow the candles," she smiled, placing her hand behind Seth.

Her families wouldn't be here. Jace is busy with his studies so he couldn't make it while Ethan had to be in their sub shop. Her parents were on a vacation to Australia.

Cassidy was in Los Angeles. She moved there two years ago, after she got a role in a film. She said she's doing great the last time Rose called her. Cassidy even sent her pictures with One Direction. What a lucky girl!

Alan picked Sophie up and swung her above his head, making her giggle. "Happy birthday, Princess Sophie!" he chirped. Sophie hugged the life out of him. "Thanks, Uncle Alan. Where's my present?" she demanded.

Alan set her down before he made a worried expression. "Oh, I'm sorry. I've forgotten to buy them for you," he said in a sad tone. Sophie sulked, wrapping her arms to her chest and she looked away. "You bought a lot of toys for Alex on his birthday!" she said, almost crying.

"Uncle Alan loves me," Alex said, sticking out his tongue. He loved to annoy his little sister. Alex is seven this year and unlike, Sophie, he takes a lot of his father. He had Seth's dark brown hair, crooked smile and shiny light blue eyes.

Alan laughed. "I'm just kidding. Your present's in the car though because it's too big," he explained, winking his eye. Sophie's eyes widened. "Seriously? You're not joking, are you?" she said.

"Nope," Alan said, popping the p. "We'll get it together after the party's over,"

"Yeay!" Sophie chirped and Alex curled his lips as he stared at his sister. Alan flicked his eyes to him. "Don't worry, buddy. I got something for you too," he said, coaxing him. Alex smiled. "Thanks, Uncle Alan. You're the best!" he said.

"You gotta stop buying toys for them, Alan," Rose sighed. "Their bedrooms are already full of toys. We may have to build another room just for their toys," she rolled her eyes. Alan shrugged. "Rose, they were kids. Kids and toys are best friends," he said, rolling his eyeballs.

Rose shook her head, disagreeing with him. She didn't want her kids to be pampered. Seth and her had been trying their best to raise their children normally and not as the King's children.

"Luke's coming?" Seth asked him. Alan shook his head. "Uh-uh. He's in Paris. With Jessy," he told him.

After three years, Jessica finally realized that Seth could never be hers. She moved to Paris and used her good looks to work. She joined a model agency and now, she's a rising star in the modelling industry. Jessica's face could be seen everywhere now - magazine's front cover, cosmetic products and even in the television.

Luke and her got married last year - in Paris. Rose and Seth went to their wedding and Jessica seemed to forget everything that happened between them. Luke took over his father's company and now he's a billionaire. Lucky Jessica. She didn't get the Crown Prince but at least, she married a billionaire.

Edward and Carla finally arrived at the castle. Since Edward retired two years ago, he and his wife had been travelling around the world together.

Carla sped up her walking as she saw her grandchildren. "Grandma!" Sophie and Alex chirped, running towards their grandmother. Carla dropped her handbag and pulled them into her embrace. "Oh, my sweethearts. I miss you so much," she squealed, hugging them. Edward stared at them, laughing. "Didn't you miss your grandpa?" he raised an eyebrow.

"Of course we do!" Sophie said and she let go of Carla to hug Edward. Alex nodded and he hugged his grandfather too.

"Mother," Rose greeted her, heading for a hug. Carla hugged her before she looked at her up and down. "You always wear the best dress, Rose," she praised, eyeing her. Seth smiled - proud of his wife.

"How was Africa?" Seth asked.

"Great. I've finally got the chance to see the leopard. It's such an incredible animal," Edward said before he coughed. "But your mother is afraid of it," he lowered his tone, almost whispering.

"I like them when they're handbags and clothes," Carla smirked, picking up her handbag. "How are you, Seth? Your face's pale. It must be hard to be a King," she asked, worrying about her son.

Seth smiled. "Yeah. But I'm getting used to it," he said assuringly and put her arm around Rose. "Besides, Rose is always there to help me," he smiled at her. Seth was shocked when his father decided to retire two years ago. His life totally changed and if it wasn't because of Rose's moral support, he didn't know how he'll cope with his new duty.

"No problem, honey," Rose grinned. "Everyone's here so it's time to blow the candle!" she announced happily, clapping her hands. Sophie and Alex was already running towards the table, waiting for the cake to arrive. Carla and Edward walked together, following them from behind.

"Shall we?" Alan said to Lily, inviting her to walk with him. Lily smiled and she made her first step towards the table with Alan, walking beside her.

Rose made her first step but Seth grabbed her arm, stopping her from walking. "What?" Rose asked, turning herself to face him. Seth coughed. "I need to tell you something," he said.

Rose waited.

Seth leaned in and kissed her so deeply that it took her breath away. All she can think was; how lucky they were? Two cute kids, loving parents, awesome friends - what could get better than this? If all the great love stories were about loss, how lucky were they that their love lasts more than seven years and hopefully, forever.

She became the startled princess, got into an arranged marriage, fell in love with an arrogant prince who turned out to be the sweetest guy in the world and had two incredible kids with him. Rose knew she'll be replaying everything in her mind for years to come.

Because love turned upside down. We never could predict what God has planned for us. Love is something that knows no season and it will keep growing, day by day. Just like how Rose and Seth fell for each other, not just once but over and over again.

"I love you," Seth broke off to whisper to her. "Always have, always will,"

And suddenly, just like that, their whole future unfolded in front of them like a rolling carpet, as far as the eye could see.
