Ch-2 Trouble In Disguise

She felt someone hug her. As if whoever it was, could feel her heart shattering into million pieces as fate again made her feel like a damsel in distress.

The warmth that spread throughout her body, her heart, freed the pearly tears prisoned under her eyelids. A sob escaped her mouth, making the one hugging her tense up.

He loosened his arms around her but did not leave her completely.

“Shhh, don't cry.” He shushed her, looking around in an alarmed manner.

His words only made her cry louder.

Why she shouldn't cry? She wanted to cry. And she will cry.

He tensed up more when she put her head on his chest and wrapped her arms around his torso, continuing to cry like a kid.

Kiddo, who stole your chocolates? Just stop crying I'll buy you a whole chocolate company. My life is at stake.

He so wanted to plead this to her. But he kept quiet when he saw three bulky policemen approaching them.

He put on an innocent expression and caressed Yara's hair.

“Don't cry, pancake.”

Pancake!?

Does she look like a pancake to him?

“Hey, mister, what are doing in this secluded area at this hour? And why she is crying?” One of those three policemen asked.

He smiled, innocently, while hugging Yara to his chest.

“Officer, actually I proposed to her a few hours ago. We were walking back home when she suddenly started crying. Her overwhelming emotions took a toll on her.”

The three officers exchanged looks. They weren't convinced by the story, however, they nodded. Knowing very well that the young generation has weird genes and they are capable of doing anything. Literally, anything.

“Alright, but don't roam around in this area. We are informed that a Mafia is present somewhere around. Be careful.” The policeman gave a polite warning to the duo.

He still kept Yara close to himself. While Yara's drunken mind kept listening to the conversation and sobbing quietly. She knew he was lying.

But he was so warm.

So warm that she feared if he left her, she will freeze into an icy cold doll.

He smirked evilly when the three policemen left from there, unaware that he was the Mafia they were running behind.

As soon as the policemen disappeared into the darkness of eerily quiet night, he parted himself from the stranger girl he was hugging.

But Yara immediately hugged him again. Fearing she will freeze without his warmth.

“Hey, leave me. I have to go.” He tried to separate their bodies, however, her grip was too tight around him.

“No! Please don't go. Don't leave me. It's too cold.” She cried.

“Then go home, girl.” He shrugged. Even if he is hot, he isn't a heater to warm her up.

“No, I don't want to go home. They are evil. And he will slap me again.”

He pulled up her face, cupping her cheeks, and saw her red eyes. However, what astounded him was the smell of alcohol.

She was drunk.

“Please take me with yourself.” She pleaded to look into his hazel green eyes.

Looking at her, pleading with him to take her with himself, he felt annoyed. He wanted to throw her away from him, but her innocence stopped him from doing so. He could see a common trait between both of them. Reckless attitude.

However, suddenly something struck his mind. Something evil.

“Alright, I'll take you with me. However, I need something in return.”

Yara nodded with a smile. Unaware her one nod was capable of turning her life upside down and right-side wrong.

He entered his apartment. The only place where no bodyguards or security lurked around to keep an eye on him. Yara was half-asleep with her head resting on his chest.

He switched on the lights, illuminating the cold and silent apartment.

He took Yara to his bedroom, making her lie on the soft mattress. Yara moaned at the softness of the mattress. It felt as if she was lying on clouds. Her moan was a piece of music to his ears, which made him smirk.

He removed his leather jacket and threw it on a couch placed near the opening of the balcony.

Looking back at the sleeping beauty resting on his bed, he immediately sprinted to bring important stuff. The stuff needed to execute his evil plan.

★★★

Yara was feeling ecstatic. She felt like a bird. Flying high above in the sky. Away from her cruel father and stepmother. Freedom tasted heavenly.

However, a hand invaded her personal space. Coming in contact with her arm. Pulling her down from the vast sky. And making her smile turn into a frown as her drowsy eyes opened to realise she wasn't flying.

Silly of her to think she could fly without wings.

“You forgot, as a condition to bring you here with me, you need to fulfil one condition.” He spoke.

The alcohol was still doing chemical errors in her brain. Her senses were locked in a prison of insensibility.

He put a file and a pen in front of her.

“Sign here.”

Yara wanted to sleep. So she immediately signed wherever he pointed at and slumped back on the cloud-like soft mattress.

He took the file and opened it to look at her signature.

“Yara Ansari. No, Yara Faaz Ali Shah. Sounds nice.” He smirked looking at his newest drunken wife.

The name is Faaz Ali Shah.

Trouble in disguise.
