The future and her Memories of you
"A clairvoyant?" Cerberus whispered as he dusted off his Shenzhou-style clothes.
"Surrender," the pink-haired girl monotonously said before her eyes widened.
"Sadly for you," Obsidian eyes glowed dangerously in the shadows of the alleyway. "I used to fight absurdly more broken abilities,"
-----
"Ah, the favored of the Amber Lord." Hearing those words, Cerberus stopped walking as an amber wall stopped several bullets. Obsidian eyes widened as he saw the familiar form of Bronya, the one he left behind on Earth.
"Who are you?" Cerberus asked, taking out three playing cards. The cards glitched out, revealing themselves to be sigils filled with ancient power.
"Silver wolf," The girl monotonously whispered as a digital keyboard appeared in front of her.
----
"Oh dear, he never foresaw your actions,"
"And who are you, hot woman?" Cerberus asked, frowning as he saw the remains of the Jacket Akavili had given him in her hands.
"Kafka, that's my name, sweetie." The woman said, elegantly tilting her head before doing a bow while dodging an amber needle.
----
"Why do you hide the truth of your path, 'Preserver'," Blade said as he held his sword while Cerberus raised his brow. "Your actions might seem to be an act of preservation, but that is not your main path,"
"that will be telling," Cerberus said and for the first time, he summoned a one-handed Shenzhou-style sword with an amber blade and a yin-yang symbol on the hilt. Smirking, the young man entered a stance, causing the entire world to seemingly stand still as millennia worth of martial skill, honed for the destruction of an unstoppable force flowed from the young man.
A visage of a woman made of puzzle pieces gently smiled behind the young man as his entire being attuned itself to the entire world.

Omake: Farewell, Archaic Foe. Farewell, Monarch of the Earth
A pair of figures landed on the moon, a male and a female.
"Thank you, for coming with me, Rex," The female of the group said with a gentle smile as her white and purple dress swayed within the gravity that flowed from the young man beside her.
Dressed in a white full-body robe, the young man lowered his hood, revealing dark hair in a mullet with dimly glowing amber-brown streaks. Amber orbs softly watched over the young woman's form as he raised his hand, covered by a brown glove with numerous lines made of Shenzhou Characters from ancient times, and gently squeezed the young woman's shoulder. He did not need to say anything and the young woman understood.
"Do you remember that time when Rein got mad at us?" Kiana asked, as the duo gently walked across the moon.
"Of course," Rex said, fondly remembering the way his older brother snapped and was almost drained dry by numerous women. "You snuck me to your room and you crushed me under your mattress when Aunt Cecilia entered the room,"
"Are you calling me fat?" Kiana asked, her hand holding his while gently squeezing his own.
"No, you're impossibly sexy like a supermodel?" The young archon replied smoothly
"Are you buttering me up? While I appreciate it, my heart belongs to Mei," Kiana replied, sassily bumping her hip with his.
"Oh? Then why sneak me into your room?"
"Well, I need my teddy bear when Mei is not with me,"
"Ow, what am I? Chopped liver?" The archon replied with an expression of false pain.
"No, more like a whiteboard."
"If this is because I am wearing a pure-white robe..."
"But seriously, thank you for coming with me here, Rex," Kiana said, enjoying the weight of his hand on hers. A feeling of relief flooded her entire being with her best friend with her. Rex's reply was to only squeeze her hand. With each step they took, their resolve became brighter.
"Seems like it'll be a while before we begin our plan to be space privateers," Kiana said, smiling at the memory of their childhood days.
"Yeah, I need my first mate,"
"Hey! I'm the captain!" Kiana said with a grin. "You promised, remember?"
"Tch, how are you this attentive but still suck in your studies?" Rex asked while Kiana giggled softly,
"How are you this lethargic yet enthusiastically commit war crimes when we play board games?" Kiana asked, countering her best friend's argument. A glaring match soon happened between the two before Kiana broke it with a giggle before jumping on his back, "Carry me, Sir Crozzo!"
"Great... I am sworn to carry your burdens," The young man whispered lethargically yet walked as he carried her. He did not know when, but he joined his best friend, humming the beat of the song she sang until they arrived.
For a moment, he knew. no matter how much Kiana resolved herself, she never wanted to leave. The way she hesitated to get off his back.
"Rex," the young woman said his name yet he heard the small shake. If it had been Mei or Bronya here, she would not have had the resolve to do this.
"Here," the young man said, holding the camera for her. His heart and resolve made up as the brown parts of his hair glowed slightly. Watching her childhood friend, Kiana turned around and looked back at their home planet, a tiny blue dot in the vast unknowable cosmos.
"Ah, I wanted to do more things with the others, you know." Kiana said as she twirled, "But seems like it will take a while,"
"May I have this dance?" The young archon of Geo asked, offering his hand out to his childhood friend. Seeing this, the Herrscher of Finality did a curtsy, while not perfect, she did it with no problem before taking her hand.
"You may," Kiana said with a smile.
Gently, the young Archon held the princess of the Herrscher in his arms while countless amber instruments played.
"You really know how to make a girl special," Smiling, the Final Herrscher lead the dance like all the times she has lead the archon through their lives. From the smallest of choices to him seeking her out and comforting her from her actions while possessed by her Herrscher self.
The soft music of the Geo constructs echoed and rhymed with the music of the cosmos, producing a sound that only two people could hear. The Finality of the Herrschers enjoyed the moment she shared with the Archon of Geo and the Star of the Herrschers.
As the music slowed, the two found themselves slow-dancing with each other.
"Take care of Mei and the others for me," Kiana whispered, resting her forehead on his chest, refusing to show him the tears that fell from her eyes. "Mei will be lonely and you have my permission to be with her,"
"Kiana... I am not into NTR," Rex softly said yet his hold on her tightened slightly.
"I know, but you have my permission," Kiana said, trying to think of anything to say or do to prolong the time she spent with him. "Rex... I'm scared..."
"Me too," The archon whispered, his voice shaking as he knew the time was coming soon.
"Hey... I don't know how long I'll be gone, but you better not be like that asshole, Otto," Kiana whispered.
"I'm not a simp," Rex said before taking a jab at his brother. "Rein is," Soft peals of laughter erupted from the princess of Herrschers as the atmosphere lightened.
"It's time," Kiana said and the Young Archon nodded. Feeling the leylines of the moon aline with the Earth, the young man focused on the connection he has with the element of Geo Only for him to be pulled by Kiana for a selfie. "Stop overthinking," Kiana told him as she pinched his cheek.
"I know," The young Archon replied as he held the camera and pressed the button. A photo of them was quickly printed out with Kiana standing by his side, a grin on her face. Gently, the young man held the camera in his hand and aimed it at his childhood friend.
"Go, Kiana, go!" The Herrscher of Finality chanted with a bright smile that lit the entire moon as she pointed a finger gun at the camera, just as the young man took a photo. "Now, your turn!" Handing the camera to her, the young Archon smiled as he raised his hand, allowing a pale imitation of the Memory of dust, now opened, to appear in front of him.
"I came, I saw," Smiling, the young man looked at the camera, enjoying the last time they would get to act like idiots. "I conquered," Making sure that the photos were saved, Kiana handed the camera to her childhood friend and focused. Taking one last look at his childhood friend, the young man waited for the right moment until-
Appearing in front of the Final Herrscher in a flash of Amber, the Joyful Lord of the Earth gently looked at the shorter form of his childhood friend and gently cupped her chin. Not letting her react, the young man leaned in, gently capturing the soft lips of his best friend. Instead of his expected reaction of her pushing him away, the young woman kissed him back for a second, making his job a lot easier before she pulled away.
"No! Rex! Stop! Please..." the young woman begged as she looked at her friend. "Please don't make it any harder..."
"Kiana," Rex whispered as amber lines in the form of cracks littered his body as he pressed his forehead with hers, an act they used to do when they were kids. "I admire the way you want to protect all things beautiful, but what good will it be when you're not here?"
Horror formed in Kiana's eyes as she felt it. The power of Finality in her was drained until she no longer had enough to seal the Honkai away.
"The world will be a lot more different now, but please, never lose who you are," Rex whispered, cracks appearing in his amber eyes as a golden gate appeared a few meters behind him. "Take care of yourself and study well, okay?" Gentle golden chains held the final Herrscher in place as the young man leaned in to try and kiss his best friend once more but held himself back as a golden barrier erupted between them, separating the two.
Gently, Rex raised his hand to try and caress her cheek, even through the barrier that separated them. Knowing that nothing would hold his determined childhood best friend for long, the young man turned around at the sounds of his friend desperately trying to destroy the barrier that separated them as well as her cries and threats combined with the transmissions of the messages of all those back on Earth assaulted him yet it only served to strengthen his will.
Cracks appeared in the barrier as Kiana, with all her might, shattered the barrier just in time for her to look him in the eyes for one last time.
"Sorry, Kiana,"
'No, Don't!' The young woman thought as she desperately reached for him and not listening to his words just as his body disappeared into the golden glow of the seal he helped design. She was so close, yet she never reached him. Knowing that she might never see her friend again, Kiana's eyes widened as a white tattered jacket, one that she gifted him for her birthday, floated in front of her.
Gently, the final Herrscher held the jacket, wishing for her best friend to come back so she can take his place yet.
Her eyes burned, she already missed him.
"You always cried when you're lonely,' The words of her best friend echoed in her mind.
"Stop eating too much!" Rex roared at her as she stole a portion of his meal.
"Nope! It's mine now, slowpoke!"
"Rex... can I sleep here?" The time she had a nightmare during a camping trip and how she snuck into his tent.
Was it raining? In space? No, those were her tears. She did not know when she started but she held onto one of the few remainders she has of her best friend left and held it as her tears fell.,
No one will know what he did.
----
"Auntie Kiana?" Reese called out, looking at the beautiful woman in front of her. "Are you okay?"
Kiana smiled at Reese, gently rubbing her head. "I'm fine,"
"I'm sorry if me calling Uncle Rex Stinky-Cerby," The little girl said, looking at the ground while fiddling with her hands behind her back. "Up- upshet you."
"It's fine, Reese," Kiana said with a smile. "Here, I want you to see this," Kiana said as she gently took the floating spear and with practices ease, the young man went into a stance and set of movements that Cerberus once used. For a moment, Reese thought she saw her aunt, dancing/practicing with someone, a man that looked like her daddy with amber eyes and brown streaks on his dark hair.
"Your uncle used to fight like that," Mei told Reese, smiling fondly as she saw her Fiancee be replaced by the image of her dear friend. "Though, he only did when he drops his shield,"
"Uncle Rex did!?!" Reese, the Geo successor goblin, asked. "Yeah, take that Stanky-Cerby! You might have stolen Uncle Rex's face but Uncle Rex is better than you!"
Hearing this, both Mei and Kiana giggled at the little girl. After all, they finally have a lead to Rex and if their theories and hypotheses were correct.
As if offended by her words aimed with the intent of unintentionally insulting the former Archon, a small rock launched itself from the ground and harmlessly struck the girl on her forehead.
"Gyah!" The goblin squeaked out as she rubbed her forehead and smacked the earth with her spear. "Respect mah authoritah!"
Gently, the young woman held onto the white shoulder cape and squeezed it, feeling the hand that she used to hold when they were young. At the same time, Mei held onto a white sard made of the same material, remembering the way how the former Archon protected her with his barriers and how he would usually be the one to help her with maintaining order in their dysfunctional family.
