A guard dog in snow
"So, who is he?" Himeko asked the man beside her with brown hair and gray streaks. "You seem to know him and the fact that you immediately have him stay in the Astral Express,"
"He's my nephew," Welt Yang said, pushing his glasses back while watching over the exhausted form of the young man that was his nephew in all but blood.
"Nephew? How is he here?"
"That, I do not know," Welt replied as he noticed how Cerberus' wounds slowly healed. "But he managed to help dispatch the doomsday beast while weakened."
"Weakened? How?"
"He used to have something inside him other than his family's bloodline that allowed him to manipulate the wind as he deems fit and an innate skill to manipulate the earth," Welt explained. "But now, he only used a bayonet and rifle like a spear when he used to just summon numerous weapons of stone and earth."
'Not to mention that he disappeared for almost a decade,' Welt Yang thought as his eyes widened when Cerberus opened his eyes. The obsidian-eyed young man stood up from the bed and looked around.
Wasting no time, let opened the door to Cerberus' home.
"Uncle Welt... I... how are you here?"
"It's a long story, Rex-"
"No... please... don't call me by that name. I go by Cerberus now," Cerberus said, obsidian eyes looking pleadingly at his uncle. "I don't deserve that name,"
"Rex-'
"Cerberus."
"Fine, Cerberus. How are you here?" Welt asked
"I accepted a contract."
"How?! With who?!" Welt suddenly asked, knowing that his nephew would only agree to a contract if he has the ability and reasons to complete said contract.
"Some guy named Akavili."
"Akavili?" Himeko asked, shock painting her face.
"Well, yes. He asked me to help you in exchange for freeing and helping maintain the seal I made,"
"The seal that held back the Honkai?"
"yes, however, my counterpart in this dimension still holds the seal he made," Cerberus said, causing Welt Yang's eyes to widen.
"I see, but why did you discard your name?" Welt Yang's voice asked.
"Rex Crozzo is dead, he sacrificed everything to seal away the Honkai. A seal that will never last for eternity, yet enough to hopefully one day unite both Humanity and the Honkai itself. If I'm right... then my counterpart probably did the same." Cerberus then pulled something out of his suit's pocket, a pocket watch with the carving of the sigil of his family.
"Very well, Cerberus," Welt Yang said as he looked at the boy that became his nephew through all but blood. Despite not being the same version, they were just so similar to each other. "The others have gone down to the planet to investigate the anomaly,"
"You want me to shadow them?" Cerberus asked, looking at his uncle as he crossed his arms.
"What? You just woke up!" Himeko said while Cerberus just smiled.
"I'm fine, I already recovered, besides it would be better for me to stretch my legs and all," Cerberus said, licking his hair back. 'Really should get a haircut,'
"Very well, can you track them?"
"In a winter hellhole?" Cerberus asked mockingly as a soft smirk appeared on his face while holding his hip. "You wound me, uncle-, no mister Welt Yang," Cerberus answered as he looked at the white planet.
"Ah, how could I forget? You, out of all you brothers, were the one who inherited his skills." A soft smile appeared on the former sovereign of Anti-entropy's face. "The winter king reborn,"
"Yep! Just let me... please prepare some things for me and I'll be good to go," Cerberus said with a smile. "Just some food to eat and drinks and I'll be good to go!"
"Are you sure? You shouldn't push yourself too much," Himeko said, her eyes softening as she looked at the young man.
"I'll be fine," Cerberus said with a smile. "I might not be as strong as before, but I'm still tough to kill,"
----
Smiling, Cerberus found himself chewing on a snack as he sat on a bench inside the only settlement on the planet. The blizzard was strong but his expertise in using the element of Geo as well as the skills and memories that bled to him made it easy for him to locate the settlement of Belobog.
'Not to mention that having those prank wars made it easier to sneak in an out of places.' The young man thought as his eyes widened as he saw a woman pass by the road. Gray hair styled into drills, a semi-emotionless facade surrounded by numerous guards, armed with weapons.
'Ah, subject Rex, please explain to *****-idiotka how-'
"That's a big-ass statue," Cerberus said to himself as he kept the top button of his shirt open despite the cold wind of the city, not once did his breath turn white. 'Why couldn't those crystals be amber-colored?'
Confidently, the young man put a hand on his hip and raised a brow as he heard a... little girl? Wait, she sounds older, ah, a four-eyed loli, Meet with the gray-haired girl.
'This should be interesting,' the young man thought as he bought some alcohol from the vending machine and opened it. Noticing a familiar trio, Cerberus' eyes widened as he took a sip. 'Great, what did they do this time?'
"Lady Bronya!" One of the guards said causing Cerberus to freeze mid-sip from his alcohol.
'that name...' A sharp pain pierced Cerberus' head.
A gray-haired slept on the couch with her head on his lap, clutching onto a yellow stuffed toy.
"Come on, Bronya, wake up."
"Nyet... five more minutes..."
"Fine, five more minutes,"
Shaking himself out of his memories, the young man let out a tired sigh as he looked at his pocketwatch, opening it and removing the false cover to reveal a photo of his family and friends.
'No, they don't need me anymore,' Cerberus thought as he closed the pocketwatch, hiding it in his pocket, obsidian eyes froze as they met the familiar gray eyes of a stronger. Feeling a bit mischievous, the young man winked at Bronya fearlessly while turning to the vending machine and buying another drink.
'Those guards know this city, meaning I can just tail one of them.' Cerberus thought as he focused on his hidden ability. Sending an untraceable and undetectable pulse into the world, the young man slowly built the mental map of the entire settlement into his mind.
'Even without my gnosis or vision, I have enough skill to use my created abilities,' Cerberus thought as he opened the drink that he had. 'After all, the element of Geo is not only strictly used for attack or defense.'
Crushing the can in his hand, the young man stepped back, leaving a copy of himself with no one noticing as if he was nothing but a mirage.
It took a few minutes of him following the guards in their ambush while he stayed hidden by merging his very presence with the earth himself. 'Let's see what you can do, March 7th, Dan Heng, and Trailblazer,' Cerberus thought, looking at the group while caressing his unnamed rifle and bayonet, all black in contrast to Bronya's own.
Cerberus watched fondly at how the trio worked seamlessly with each other, defeating the knights and pushing Bronya back.
"Oh?" Cerberus watched the figure approach the group, his rifle aimed at the figure's head.
A few hours later,
Cerberus wiped his eyes as he looked at the sight in front of him.
'Is that... Seele?' Cerberus thought as images of an adorable girl that followed him around after they managed to free her from the Sea of Quanta appeared in his mind. 'The fuck!'
Watching Seele leave, Cerberus approached the trio and Bronya,
"Huh, that happened," Cerberus said, watching the direction where Seele disappeared to.
"Oh, it's you!" March 7th said with a smile before the group of four noticed how the young man seemingly manifested in front of them in a curtain of... sand(?)
Suddenly, Bronya, March, and Stelle, the trailblazer girl, along with Sampo paled.
"AAAAHHHHHHH! A GHOST!!!!" March shrieked as she hugged Stele causing Cerberus to sigh and rub his forehead.
"Not ghost, Cerberus," Cerberus said, looking at how March 7th and Stelle hugged each other. 'Am I really that terrifying?'
"Since when were you following us?" Dan Heng asked.
"Since this morning, just before you made your escape, Uncle four eyes asked me to follow you," Cerberus said as he looked at them. "Have to say, being down in the underworld makes it a bit better for me. Something wrong?"
"Wait... if you were watching over us, why didn't you help us?" Stelle asked, looking... annoyed. An image of a woman with white hair with the same pout overlapped with hers.
"Well, I wanted to know what you were made up of, and it's unfair if I fought her," Cerberus pointed at Bronya who looked annoyed. "And her knights. 'Sides, you never needed my help," Cerberus said as he bit onto a food bar, snapping it in half. "And I was eating,"
Cerberus looked at them with a grin before he stopped as an image of a man with H/C hair appeared in his mind. 'My... no- Morax's successor, I hope you would be better than I am, well it will be easy since I set a pretty low bar.'

Omake:
An older Reinhardt Crozzo around his early to mid-30s smiled as he carried a child, a toddler in his eyes.
The child was a little girl of around 5 that looked like a carbon copy of himself with long hair.
"Daddy," The girl asked, pointing at the picture frame. "Who is that guy with Auntie Kiana?"
Looking at the picture frame, tears formed around Reinhardt's eyes. The picture was of his youngest brother, dressed in a black suit with a white shirt while Kiana was in a white dress. The two were in the middle of their Prom with the young man taking the position of the escort for Bronya while Kiana was Mei's
Despite this, they both had a lot of photos together. Focusing on the picture his daughter pointed to, Reinhardt saw that it was a photo of Kiana in her Herrscher of Finality attire with a bright smile on her face as she tried to crush Rex with a smile on her face.
Rex, meanwhile, was dressed in a white trench coat with the white-furred hood down with a metal half mask, around his neck. His obsidian eyes contained an amber starry night sky-like glow. The young man had a tired smile on his face as they looked at the camera.
"That's your uncle, sweetie."
"Uncle Reve?"
"No, your uncle Rex."

"Adam reminds me of him," An older Kiana Kaslana said with a sad smile as she watched Adam use his sword.
"Of course, he will," An older Yae Rin said confidently as she watched her student face off against several people. "Rex helped trained me and the first thing I taught him is what Rex did."
Kiana looked at Adam, smiling as the image of her dear friend overlapped with him, and the sword was replaced by a spear.
"Congratulations on the engagement between you and Mei, big sis!" Rin said with a happy smile. A smile that painfully looked a lot like her dearest friend's.
"Thank you, Rin,"
