Twenty Four-The Good, The Drunk, and The Seniors(p2)
Pearl's pov
"Where's Peridot?"
"I don't know, wasn't she supposed to stay with you?" Opal asked.
"She left to get food before we started and now she's not here." I explained.
"Well, Sugilite and I can go look for her." I looked at Opal, confused.
"Where's Sugilite?" Opal sighed, and began to turn around.
"Pearl, don't even try to-Oh come on!" Opal sighed with annoyance. "This is why we don't go out. She's either back in the kitchen already or she went to find Amethyst. Let's split up."
"Wait, Opal!" I yelled, but it was too late, as she was already behind a wall of drunk teens.
I turned back to Rose and Greg. Greg was just finishing putting his guitar away and in the closet we were instructed to leave our instruments in, and Rose was watching.
When Greg closed the door and walked back to Rose, she had a smile on her face. She whispered something into his ear that made him blush, and she grabbed his hand, leading him through the crowd.
I was completely alone. I needed to find Opal, or even better, Peridot, but I hadn't the slightest clue on how to interact during parties.
"Opal was right," I said quietly, bringing my knees to my chin on the floor. "This really was a bad idea."
Opal's pov
"Sugilite! Sugilite!" I called, trudging past people who were dancing. It wasn't even ten o'clock yet, my watch said almost nine thirty, but mist people were already drunk past their wits.
"Ugh, move!" I said, pushing past couples making out. Much to my disbelief, I was only about halfway down the main hallway.
I opened the bathroom door, only to find the occupant to be some girl throwing up while her friends held her hair back.
I sighed, running my hands through my hair, when somehow, over the blaring music, I heard the infamous tapping of heels. This heel-tapping was of course followed by a full head of pink-blond hair, the dirtiest dress she could possibly own, and her signature smirk.
"Opal!" Rainbow called in her smooth voice, causing a bunch of guys around her to literally fall over. I took notice of how clean and collected she was, like she hadn't been drinking at all like I assumed she had.
"What is it?" I asked, aggravated but trying my hardest not to seem so.
"Your friend, Sugilite? She's looking for you." Rainbow said, coming closer and wrapping her arm around my shoulder.
"Really, where is she?" I asked. Rainbow ran her hand down my arm, eventually holding my own hand.
"Upstairs. I'll take you there so you don't accidentally open the door on anyone." I nodded, and let Rainbow drag me up the stairs.
The light was on in the upstairs hallway, and all the doors except for one were closed. Walking past doors, I heard some stuff I instantly regret hearing. The only sound that didn't make me throw up inside my mouth was hearing what sounded like Rose giggling. Wait, no, that made me throw up too.
"Rose is in there." I whispered.
"So what, I'm not her ride home." Rainbow whispered.
When we finally reached the open door, Rainbow closed it and locked it behind us.
"Sugilite's not in here," I said, confused. Confusion quickly turned to anger. "What are you playing at?"
"Oh, please, Opal." Rainbow said, kicking off her heels and stretching. "I though you if all people would enjoy the quiet and privacy."
"Not when I'm trying to find my best friend so we can find my sister's friend and go home." I stood firmly as Rainbow stepped closer and wrapped her arms around me. "Plus, I don't trust you. Not after that time you tried to kiss me in the locker room, and definitely not after the shit you tried in your bedroom.
"Yeah, but the time in my bedroom you ran away before we could have any fun!" She whined, pulling at my shoes with her feet until I was barefoot.
"Why are you doing this?" I asked, staring at her.
"Because I want you." She said, kissing me and unzipping her dress.
Peridot's Pov
Amethyst looked at me with wide eyes.
"Drugs?" She whispered. I nodded.
"Hey, are you guys gonna drink that?" One of the seniors asked. I dropped my cup, and Amethyst did the same.
"Hey! That's a waste of good money!" Someone yelled.
"Run." I commanded. Amethsyt and I started running, dodging people and objects.
"Amethyst!" I yelled, as I tripped over somebody's shoe. The curvy girl sighed, and ran back, picking me up and carrying me into the kitchen.
"Sugilite!" Amethyst yelled, hiding behind a tall muscular girl.
"What's wrong, Ames?" She asked, just as the teenagers were arriving.
"Hey, there are the kids that dropped the drugs!"
"Drugs? The girl asked. "DRUGS? If you think you can just drug my sister, you've got another thing coming! Get out of here before I kick all your asses!" She yelled, scaring the others away.
"Please put me down now." I begged Amethyst.
"Okay." She dropped me, and I took a moment to compose myself.
"Ahem. Thank you, Amethyst, for potentially saving my life. As such, I owe you something of equal or greater value, and I have deemed you worthy of my friendship."I bowed my head.
"So... you want me to be your friend?" She questioned, infuriating me.
"You clod, I am offering you my friendship! Can't you see how valuable that is?"
"Um... not really."
"The only other person who I have deemed worthy of my friendship is Pearl!" I shouted.
"Pearl... Baroque?" The other girl questioned.
"Yes Pearl Baroque!"
"Where is she?" The large girl asked.
"Oh my stars I left her alone."
