Thirty Three- Fine

(A/N) Okay, so in case you guys have been wondering, the reason I've been doing multiple chapters that happen on the same day(such as the last two) is all because of time. It's almost  halfway through October(in the book) and I'm trying to hold out and get Halloween somewhere near the actual Holiday, but most importantly the December Holdidays. It's kinda hard to write stuff about Christmas when I haven't even gone back to school yet, so be patient.

Edit:Crap, I need to make sure the titles have been added before I publish

Amethyst's pov

"Amethyst, your hair is getting so light!" Pearl said, running her hand through my hair.

"Heh, yeah, I haven't dyed it in awhile..." I said quietly.

"Haven't had enough time?" I gulped.

"Y-yeah. It's no biggie, I look good blonde." The truth was I couldn't actually afford to dye my hair again, and Sugilite was too busy with work to help me.

"Hello? Earth to Amethyst?" Peridot asked, waving het hand in front of my face.

"Yeah?"

"I asked you where you wanted to hang out today. Mother says that after our little... baking incident we have to go somewhere else. How about your  house?" I shook my head.

"No way! My dad would never allow that!" Pearl looked at me, worried.

"Alright, we can go to my house today." She stuck out her lip. "I'll see if Opal can give us a ride." She walked away to call her sister.

"Amethyst... is everything... okay?" Peridot asked, scaring me.

"Hehe, of course Peri, why wouldn't it be?"

"Because, we've never gone to your house, and... you always seem to have some excuse about your father. And I've seen you run to avoid Jasper, you are not 'clumsy'. You can tell us." I shook my head.

"Everything is fine. Sugilite says she's heard me bump into stuff at night!"  Not completely a lie, she does hear me get hurt at night...

"Opal said she's already home, so we'll just have to walk." Pearl said, walking back. "Is everyone okay?" She asked.

"Yeah-"

"No, everyone is most certainly not okay!" Peridot said firmly.

"Peridot, I'm fine. Trust me." Pearl shook her head.

"I don't believe you for a second." Pearl said, sitting down on the curb with us. "Come on Amethyst, you can tell us anything." I shook my head, tears forming.

"I-I'm fine guys. Really. Just drop it." I stood up. "I should really be going. I... never cleaned my room." I walked away, trying to leave the two nerds behind me.

"Amethyst." Pearl only had to take large steps to keep up with me, but Peridot had to run.

"Yes... please... stop... running!" Peridot begged between breaths.

"No! I told you guys I'm fine, now beat it!" I ran ahead, finally shaking the two.

When I got home, I slammed the door shut behind me.

"What're... *burp* you doing home?" My old man asked, looking up at me. I sighed.

"School's over, dad." I gritted my teeth. He waved his hand Inc the air.

"Don't call me that..." He slurred.

"Pfft, you're drunk. You'll forget about it." I smirked and started to walk to my room.

"What did you say to me?" I stopped and turned around.

"You heard me. You're drunk and can't do anything to hurt me because I'm a million times smarter than you'll ever be!" I shouted.

"There's a reason your mother left!" He screamed.

"And that reason is you!" I ran to my room and grabbed a bag, angrily shoving all my clothes in. Once I had everything, I went into Sugilite's room to find the house phone.

"C'mon, where is it..." I finally found it on het crowded desk. Upset and angry, I started to dial Peridot's cell number, but stopped. If her mom found out I ran away... I hung up the call and dialed Pearl's number.

"Amethyst?" Pearl asked.

"Yeah. Listen P, I need a favor. Can I stay at your place a few days?" Pearl sighed.

"You're not going to tell me why, are you?"

"No." She sighed again.

"Do you need a ride?"

"I'll walk." I hung up and dialed Sugilite's number.

"You got Sugi, baby. I can't answer the phone right now, leave a message abd I'll call you back baby."

"Hey Sugi, it's Ames. Don't worry about where I am, it's somewhere safe. I love you, bye."
