Lapis's pov

"This is just depressing." I signed,  staring outside at the rain-yes, rain, that was beginning to melt away the snow in the football field.

It could be worse, Lapis. You could be stuck at a lab table with people you hate... Oh, right.

"And then he asked Jessica out behind my back!"

"That's rather fascinating, Yellen, despite the fact that nobody gives a clod!" I sighed, and turned back to the assignment at hand.

We were mixing unknown substances to distinguish their reactions to first water, then to other substances we'd determined.

"Yellen, stop waving that graduated cylinder around like that. It has iodine in it." I grabbed it from her hand and placed it back on the table.

"Peridot, what liquids do you want to test next?" Pearl asked, typing notes on Peridot's tablet with her slender fingers. Pearl was the only person Peridot trusted to touch her things, much less actually use them.

"Unknown liquid five and..." She squinted. "Dish Soap." She looked at Pearl. "Um, please." Now things were getting strange. Peridot saying please? What the...

"Ugh. Peridot, stop being such a Lesbian and focus."

"I said please! And don't use the term Lesbian ad an insult. I shall only accept it as a compliment. Isn't that right, Pearl?" Pearl blushed.

"I've never really considered it..." Yellen fake gagged.

"And people say I'm sickening when I'm dating someone."

"That's because you are." Peridot acknowledged curtly. "Pearl and I, however, are not." I gasped.

"You guys are dating?" Peridot gasped.

"Lazuli! You're here!" Peridot practically lunged over the lab table-one covered with numerous dangerous chemicals- and grabbed me by the collar.

"You need to promise me you'll tell no one! Not Jasper, not Amethyst, not your upper-classmen friend with the lovely hair, and especially not Opal! Do you hear me?"

"You think Mangano's hair is lovely?"

"That's not the point!" I sighed.

"Fine, I won't. But how come you trust her?" I jammed my thumb in Yellen's direction. She crossed her arms and turned away with a  hmmph.

"I couldn't tell even if I wanted to!"

"Which you do."

"Shut up Wonder Nerd. My mother has threatened to prohibit the use of my phone if I tell anyone."

"Well I've got no reason to tell anyone." I turned back to Peridot and Pearl. "But I've got a couple questions. First off, why did you two get together?"  Peridot looked at me like I was insane, then composed herself and cleared her throat.

"It would appear we felt a mutual attraction for eachother." Pearl blushed.

"I'm stunned I was too caught up in Rose to realize my feelings at first." I nodded.

"But more importantly," They both looked at me.

"Why can't I tell Amethyst?"

Sorry I've been super laz- stressed. Um....  Let's see if I have any...

Random Fact I mostly likely just came up with:Uhhh.... This is an AP Chemistry class... Yellen's also in AP English... Not with Peri or Pearl... Maybe with Lapis, she's only got like two confirmed classes, right? I dunno, it's like...  8 45 here...

No updates this weekend, for reasons that I shall reveal to Kayleigh afterwards so I don't die...
