Opal's pov

"Grandma!" She met us by the baggage claim just like every year. Already sporting a Christmas sweater- she wore those all winter long- and a huge smile. Imagine my mom, but a little shorter, twenty years older, wearing glasses, and with a gray pixie cut instead of a blonde one, and that's my grandma.

Unfortunately, nobody had warned Peridot about Grandma's hugs, and she got wrapped up in a hug that nearly choked her, something our small friend didn't seem to enjoy. Sardonyx seemed to really hit it off with her, though, and she even got Amethyst to smile. She insisted that everyone called her grandma, and everyone-excluding Peridot- obliged.

"I'm so glad you girls could all come over for the week, now let's see if I can figure everyone's name... " She looked at the group. " You I know are Sugilite." She pointed to my girlfriend beside me. "And I belive you may have mentioned something about being Sardonyx," she chuckled, and looked at the younger three.

"Hello Grandma!" Pearl greeted.

"You must be Amethyst, you look just like your sister, which makes you Peridot." Everyone congratulated her on getting everyone's name right, but she held her hand up. When she wasn't finished, she wasn't finished. "Now I forget, which one of you is dating Pearl?" She, along with Sugi, Donyx, and myself, began to laugh our heads off while the younger girls all turned various shades of red.

"Oh, I'm just messing with you girls! Let's get home for some cocoa. "

We spent the first couple of days if our trip getting accustomed to life in Colorado. It was much colder than back home, and there was about a foot of snow on the ground already.

We introduced everyone to Jack, grandma's horse, as well as her cat Felix and dog Doug.

It was an amazing escape from home life, and even Peridot was warming up to Grandma. I had the highest hopes possible for this Thanksgiving.

Peridot's pov

Unfortunately, we had been out voted. The older girls had received the second guest bed, whereas the three of us had to share an airmattress in the office.

On Wednesday evening, possibly even Friday morning, I awoke to find the mattress less crowded than normal. It had been a busy day of sledding and skiing, and I was worried as to Pearl's condition. I slipped out of the room to find Pearl, noting that the bathroom was unoccupied.

After a moment, I discovered her on the deck, looking over the mountains and pastures, without her coat.

"It's much too cold to be put here without a jacket." I noted, stepping outside with a blanket huddled around me.

"I know." I stepped closer to Pearl, covering her with the blanket too.

"You seem troubled." She signed.

"Peridot, for as long as I can remember, I've always loved Rose. But now, she's having a child with Greg. She suddenly seems so... unreachable. "

"I understand. When Lazuli and I fought at the dinner party... it felt like something in me just snapped. I felt like I had no place in this world anymore." We stood for a moment, silent. "However, I've learned to accept things and move on."

"How? " Pearl turned to look at me.

" Just by being with you and Amethyst. You guys helped me metaphorically find myself again." Pearl smiled.

"I'm so glad I finally got the chance to know you, Peridot. It's been... amazing." It was quiet again. "I've been thinking about what my Grandmother said. When we first arrived." My face heated up.

"Yeah?"

"When she asked which one of you was dating me. I've been looking for a sense of validation from Rose my whole life, but I've got you two. I don't understand how I could have had such a crush on Rose for so long, when I have people like you in my life." I looked up at her.

"I-I feel the same way. " Pearl blushed. I gulped, and lost all feeling in my extremities. "Pearl?"

"Yes?"

"Would you like to... engage in a romantic relationship?" That was it. I had gone completely insane.

"I... I would. " But I guess she had too.

Also just to be clear about last chapter Peridot didn't do anything inappropriate with Yellen. She was referring to the events of Peridot Wears A Push Up Bra.
