Fifty Eight- Plane Crazy

Pearl's pov
We woke early, at nearly five in the morning. We needed the extra time to get ready and pick up our extra passengers.
When my mother pulled up to Peridot's house, she was standing outside the gate, her suitcase beside her and carry-on in her hand, very grouchily. She dragged her suitcase over to the car and shoved it in the trunk, before returning to her spot on the curb where she'd left her carry-on, phone, and drink, presumably coffee.
"Alright then clods, let's get going." She slipped into the back seat beside me, pushing me up against Amethyst.
"Glad to see you're your normal self this morning, Peridot." My mother said, driving away.
"Where are the others?" Peridot asked, alluding to Opal, Sugilite, and Sardonyx.
"Opal's meeting us at the airport, she and Sugilite went to pick up Sardonyx." The majority of the drive was silent, with Amethyst snoring quietly and Peridot sipping her drink curled up in her cactus sweatshirt. When we finally arrived and caught up with the others, the sun had finally begun to rise. The chairs in the waiting area were blue, plastic, and uncomfortable, and gained nothing but complaints from our group. It was a breath of relief when six thirty finally arrived and we were ushered on the plane.
Peridot's pov
"Nyuugh, I can't take it anymore! " The plane had only been in flight for approximately ninety minutes, and already I was agitated to the point of shouting. A small child was seated directly behind me, and was screaming her head off while kicking my seat. I was seated between Pearl, whom nearly every ten minutes would vomit into a paper back, and Amethyst, whom continued to sleep. The plane was exceptionally large, and our seats were in between two aisles. Across from Pearl, Opal sat curled in a ball, rocking back and forth as Sardonyx proceeded to loudly exclaim how boring the plane ride was. Tahitia was seated elsewhere, but was currently in the bathroom to take Advil.
The plane ride was unenjoyable for everyone. Flying from the east coast to Denver Colorado was possibly the most traumatic experience I'd ever experienced, with some... experimentation with Yellen as a close second.
When we finally arrived, I thought my pain and suffering were over. But that was not the case with Tahitia's mother.
(A/N) Just some story progression for Thanksgiving...
