Akira: Perhaps the only way inside, is to get someone within the base to open it for us. However, that's pretty much impossible... considering we're their enemies.

Yu: Why don't we just go above the base then? We could use our Personas.

Akira: Hm... that makes sense but take a closer look at the walls.

Yu: Um, alright.

As Yu looked closely at the walls he noticed a barrier that protected the whole base.

Yu: OW!!!

Akira: Did you seriously touch it!?

Yu: Yeah... Damnit that stings...

He put his finger in his mouth to ease the pain.

Yu: Well, how about we break it?

Akira: Do you seriously want to experience that pain again?

Yu: Well, you won't know until you try.

Akira: *sigh* You have a point. Okay, let's try it.

Akira(Joker): Persona! Come, Raoul!

Akira(Joker): Maeigaon!

After a while of attempting to destroy this barrier with multiple of our Personas, we waited out the mist and saw what our destruction caused.

Akira: What?

Yu: Nothing happened. Are you kidding me!?

Akira: Hold on... look around.

Yu: Aaaughhh--Hm? Woah, the skies are reddish.

What could this be...? How could our powers from a different universe not be effective here? Do they know what we are capable of?

However, it seems familiar with a situation I've heard about before...

I got my phone out and the screen was all static. This all feels familiar...

The door revealed a girl with long blonde hair and blue eyes... WAIT! Why does she remind me of myself!? Am I dreaming? She also has some pointy ears like an elf.

???: My my, when I sensed someone was in trouble I didn't expect it to be someone that looked so similar to me.

Jeanne d'Arc: Um... that's nice but... can you help me?

???: Oh, of course!

She approached the chair and untied me.

Jeanne d'Arc: Merci, it feels good not being tied up to a chair...

???: You're welcome.

Jeanne d'Arc: Anyways, my name is Jeanne d'Arc. I'm an Iris Libre light cruiser.

Brest: Oh silly me, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Brest! A decisive FFNF ship! So yeah, I too am an Iris Libre ship. I'm here to find my champion.

Jeanne d'Arc: Champion...? Oh! Do you mean the Commander?

Brest: Oui. I was recently constructed and I'm looking for him so I can help him in any way possible.

She seems kind and doesn't set off any red flags yet. Hopefully, she isn't a yandere... if she isn't then she would be a big help since she's a decisive ship...

Brest: Is something the matter miss Jeanne d'Arc?

Jeanne d'Arc: Nothing. Let's get out of here though.

Brest: Oh? Will you lead me to my champion?

Jeanne d'Arc: Yes, of course. However, can we take a detour?

Brest: For what reason, if I may ask?

Minato: Are they done?

Joffre was looking at a distance with her arms crossed.

As we left base and headed outside we saw the Iris base... fully completed...

Dunkerque: I'm also surprised...

I then saw Richelieu walk up to us.

Richelieu: Welcome back Minato and Dunkerque. Oh? Are those Éclairs?

Dunkerque: Oui. Would you like some Cardinal?

Richelieu: Hehe, maybe just one won't hurt.

She grabbed one from the tray and munched on it.

Minato: Anyway. How the heck was the base completed already?

Richelieu: *clears throat* Akashi walked by and told us there is an easier way by giving her 500 gems so it can be done faster.

Minato: *sigh* And I'm guessing you used my gems?

Richelieu: Yes. I'm sorry, love.

Minato: It's alright. As long as your faction base is completed that's what matters.

Richelieu: Aw, that's nice Minato.

???: Is that you Champion?

???: Come on Brest! We have to find her!

I heard a voice coming from the distance. The three of us looked behind and saw two girls.

Richelieu: Hm? Is that Jeanne?

They approached us and I gotta say...

Wooooooooooow... she does indeed look like Jeanne a bit.

Minato: Um, is this your sister Jeanne?

Jeanne d'Arc: Sister? No!

Richelieu: Greetings. What's your name?

Brest: My name is Brest. I'm a decisive ship.

Minato: Well, I'm the Commander of the base. So, I'm guessing I'm your so-called "Champion"?

Brest: Oui. I know you've done some great things. You're very heroic.

Brest... she seems suspicious but what if that's just her nature? I just have to see what she does.

Akira's POV:

Yu: So let me get this straight. We're in this testing place for Sirens?

Akira: From what I've heard yeah.

Yu: *sigh* How do we get out?

Akira: I dunno.

Yu: What do you mean you don't know!?

The sirens and us working together longer? Ugh... that can't be right... surely we're only being used by them... what is being accomplished by working with them? What is Nanaki planning!?

A few minutes later

Akira: They must be using mass-produced ships!

I used Makarakarn and Yu used his sword to block the heavy firing from the ships.

A girl then emerged from the smoke.

Akira(Joker): Hey! Who are you!?

???: My name shouldn't concern you. Why are you here?

Yu: Hey! We could say the same thing!

???: Fair. I'm only here to test out new tech.

Akira(Joker): Well, we're here because we accidentally stumbled upon here.

Akira(Joker): We just wanted to investigate why my friend here has been acting weird in the past. We want to cure it before he turns insane in the future.

I unmasked and withdrew my persona.

We were transported back to the normal world and ended up in Ironblood HQ.

Yu: It's like we're back at base.

The atmosphere feels similar to that of Minato's base. Even though the skies are gray it's pretty nice around here.

We followed the girl.

We walked into an alley that is hidden from public view.

Ulrich: Alright. First things first. My name is Ulrich von Hutten.

Akira: Well, hello Ulrich. Pretty late greeting don't you think?

Ulrich: Shut up. This isn't time for playing around.

Akira: Well anyway, why are you helping us?

Ulrich: To tell you the truth... I just don't want to be a part of Ironblood anymore.

Akira: Why?

Ulrich: Do you know the Commander of Ironblood?

Akira & Yu: Nope.

Ulrich: *sigh* His name is Nanaki.

Akira: Aaand?

Ulrich: Not only that but... your friend. He's been used as a subject to the Sirens.

Ulrich: Unfortunately, I don't know the full story. I only heard about a white-haired boy being experimented on.

Hold on... what if... Yu was being experimented on because the Sirens wanted to test it on Nanaki!?

*Yu's mind*

I remember that... I guess Akira must've lost his memories... but I haven't. I can't let them know just yet. Besides... nothing is wrong with me.

Akira: Ulrich?

Ulrich: Yes?

Akira: Has it come to your mind that the Sirens experimented on Yu because they were preparing to do it on Nanaki?

Ulrich: Shit. I never thought about that... but it makes sense... my theory may be true.

Yu: We need to go back to base and tell Minato about this.

Akira: Yep. Come on Ulrich.

Ulrich: I'm sorry. I can't leave.

Akira: What? Why?

Ulrich: I'm Nanaki's secretary. I can't leave.

Yu: Surely you can. If you leave he'll just get someone else to be his secretary!

I didn't know exploring this place would be so tiring... more tiring than my paperwork. Aw shoot! I didn't even do it!

I wonder what Yu and Akira are up to... I asked them to message me when they get back but it's almost sunset. However, I have a strange feeling some Vichya girls might be yanderes still.
