Chapter 37

Lucy's POV

  Me and the team went back to Mr. Clarkson's mansion inorder to formulate a plan to save Spetto-san and her family. Wait. Let me rephrase that please, THEY were planning and discussing while i was fidgeting and sweating.

  "Tomorrow, we barge in the designated warehouse in forms of teams. Natsu and Happy will attack the place at the sky. Wendy and Charles, attack the left side. The opposite side will be assigned to you, Lucy. The back is on you Gray. And lastly, i'll attack the front and entrace. We will lay our attacks the same time inorder to surprise them. We will defeat them, then save Spetto-san and her family. Am I clear?" Erza laid out her plan as the other nodded and gave their signs of approval.

  'Tomorrow? What if they don't make out alive tonight? ' the horrible thought can only make me gulp nervously but said nothing to them.

  It was 1 am when i decided that enough is enough. I haven't had any sleep since earlier because of the worry and uneasy feeling i'm having inside. I felt like i'm going to explode if i don't do anything!

  Once in my red sweatshirt, denim shorts and converse, i creeped out of the door of our room quietly as possible. Once outside the room, i let out a sigh of relief.

  "Your not going to attack the warehouse alone, are you Heartfilia?" A squeak of surprise escaped my lips as i immediately faced the one who caught me who was non other than a smirking Natsu Dragneel leaning casually on the wall, completely dressed on his outside clothes.

  "Natsu?! What are you doing awake?!" I whispered yelled at him while pulling his ear and face near mine. A grunt of pain escaped his lips as i did so.

  "Ow! Luce! Let go! That hurts!" He pleaded which made me sigh and let go.

  "Fine! Just shut up! You'll wake everyone up!"

  "Wake who up? They're already awake and alive, Weirdo." As if to prove his point, the remaining members of Team Natsu emerged from the stairs, into the hallway. All smiles and grins.

  "What the-"

  "Sorry, Luce. We knew you long enough to know that you'll sneak out tonight and save them by yourself. Your too stubborn and hard headed to just stay here and plan." The pyro explained which made me flush in embarrassment.

  "The Flame Brain's right. I'm actually starting to think that you stay by him for too long, enough for his antics and attitude to rub in on you." Gray concluded and as usual, this comment of his sprouted a fight between them and Natsu.

  "What did you call me, Ice Freak?!"

  "i called you Flame Brain! Clean your ears will you?!"

  "Stop calling me that, Brain Freeze!"

  "Then stop calling me names, Fire Lizard!"

  "Who're you calling a lizard, Exhibitionist?!"

  And there they go again..

  "Stop fighting before you wake up the whole household!" Erza finally yelled at the two who was now cowering and shaking in fear.

  "Yes, ma'am!" the two said in unison as they clung on each other's arm.

  "Erza-san's right. And besides, we should hurry. We still need to save Spetto-san and her family." A smile crept on my face as those words left the wind dragonslayer's mouth.

  "Fine. But i'll beat the cr*p out of this ice cube once this is all over." My hard headed partner mumbled but enough for all of us to hear. Of course, this comment of his sparked annoyance on the insulted ice mage.

  "Whatever. You'll be the one groaning in pain once i'm done with you." The latter countered as he tsked at Natsu who in return, glared.

  "Stop it, guys! If you won't drop this silly argument and move out, i'll seriously charged that warehouse alone. Spetto-san is waiting for me." I warned which alarmed the two fighting wizards.

  "Like hell i'll let you do that. I'm not going to let you out of my sight especially now that we're positive that someone's after you. I rather die than let those b*stards get you." My heart once again gone wild as he said those words. 'For Mavis sake! Stop making me fall for you even more!' I thought while trying to ignore the tingling sensation the butterflies on my stomach were creating.

  "Sheesh, N-Natsu! Don't talk about death! I've been through hell and h-having someone special to me die will probably cause the end of me." I whispered while looking away from them, not daring to make eye contact.

  "Fine, i'll shut up. And whoever told you i'm going to die soon? Seeing you sad is definitely the last thing i wanted to see."

★Timeskip~20 minutes later☆

  We were now infront of the mentioned warehouse from the threat message we saw on Spetto-san's wall.

  "We are going to attack as i planned earlier-"

  "Wait! Can we change the plan?" I asked out of the blue which surprised my companions.

  "Why so sudden?" The red haired mage asked as she looked at me with eyes full of curiosity.

  "I want to know what they need from me and who they are. And i can only do that if we proceed with my plan."

  What if Lucy still has living relatives out there? What if she hid her true powers from the guild? What if she had a darker past than what her friends thought? What if Team Natsu kick her out the team and unintentionally made her conclude that she's weak? What if she temporarily leave the guild to train and meet up with her family?

  Lucy was classified as 'weak' and 'dependent', well atleast that's what she thought her teammates were trying to say. She left Fairy Tail with a goal and will to show them that they were wrong. Reuniting with her only living relatives left, she set out to unleash and train her powers that she had hidden from her guildmates.
