Chapter 2

Lucy's POV

  I took a deep breath and knocked on Master's door.

  "Come in." Master said from inside the room. I turned the door knob and entered. I saw Master sitting on his seat and doing a pile of paperworks.

  "What can i do for you, Lucy?" Master asked, not taking his eyes off his work. He's so hardworking.

  "Master, i wish permission to have a short vacation." I said.

  "Pardon?" Master asked rather shocked. He looked to me with confused eyes.

"I wish to leave Fairy Tail for a while." I said with hint sadness.

  "But why?" Master asked.

  "Besides the guild ignorance, i feel like my mother hid something from me. And i wanna know what it is." I said. But its true. I really want to know the reason behind that dream.

  "What do you mean?" He asked me.

  "I've been having this dream, more like memory of the past. But i can't recall any of it. But it feels all true. Like it really happened. I'm planning on visiting the mansion to look for any clues. Please master." I begged. He looked at me with eyes full of sadness.

  "As you wish. But when will you return?" Master asked.

  "A month or two." I said with a sigh.

  "And Master, one more favor. Can you make a fake mission requesting me. One that will last a month or two." I said. Master nodded. He started to write on a blank piece of paper using a magic pen. (A/N: A magic pen is used to changed the writting format and style of the user.) He handed it to me.

MISSION
LOCATION: EMERALD TOWN
TYPE OF MAGE NEEDED: CELESTIAL MAGE
SITUATION:
  WE NEED A CELESTIAL MAGE TO DEFEAT 50+ MONSTERS THAT'S LINGERING AROUND TOWN. THEY FEAR LIGHT SO THEY ONLY COME OUT AT NIGHT. PLEASE, IMMEDIATE HELP IS NEEDED.
ESTIMATED TIME OF COMPLETION : 1-2 MONTHS
REWARD: CELESTIAL KEYS AND 3,000,000 JEWELS

  "Thanks master.." i said and hugged him. After bidding him one last goodbye, i made my way dowstairs. I looked around the guild and saw that they were at their usual state. Noisy, Loud, wild and Rowdy. I saw Natsu, Gray, Erza and Lisanna on the request board. Probably looking for a job. I approached Mirajane who was serving the other members.

  "Mira, Master gave me a mission. Can you stamp it for me?" I asked her. I gave her the request and she read it carefully. Upon finishing, she looked at me with worried eyes.

  "Are you sure, Lucy? This can be an S-Class Mission." Mira said worriedly.

  "Master wouldn't give me that mission if i coudn't handle it, right? I'll be fine. Don't worry." I said with a smile.

   "What mission?" Someone said from behind. 'Oh no! I will take longer than expected to leave.' I thought. I looked behind me and saw Team Natsu. They were all confused. Natsu was the one who spoke.

   "Master gave me a job." I said.

   "A job?" They asked in unison. While i nodded. Mira handed them the fake request that master made. They read it and their eyes widened.

  "Lucy, are you sure you'll take this job?" Erza asked.

   "Yes, Master was the one who assigned that to me. I can't refuse." I said with a shrug.

   "Uh, Lucy do you want us to come with you?" Natsu proposed.

   "Sorry but i can't let you come with me. Beside, i'm no longer on your team." I pointed out.

   "But-" "Guys, don't worry. I can do this. I'll return eventually after a month or two." I said reassuring them with a smile.

   "We understand." Lisanna said. Natsu, Gray, Erza and Mira looked at her like she grown two heads.

   "Thanks, Lis-chan." I said with a smile. She then hugged me and whispered something that only i can hear.

   "Just promise me to return as soon as possible" She whispered.

   "I can't promise anything." I whispered careful not to let Natsu hear. Well, thankfully he didn't cause he didn't react. Mira stamped the request, i went to my true friends table.

   "Go to my apartment later." I whispered that only they can hear. They nodded and i exited the guild.
