Wendy's POV

It was a normal day at Fairy Tail. Everyone doing their own business. Smiles filled their faces but not enough to reach their eyes. Meaning, its either forced or fake.

Its been a month and a half since Lucy-san went to that so called 'Mission', as everyone knows. And as expected, the guild is not at its best shape.

Team Natsu went to many jobs. Probably tiring their selves out just to forget the guilt. But it won't work. Especially for Natsu.

Speaking of which, he hasn't visiting the guild lately. Maybe just to take a random SOLO job and that's it. The poor guy..

Like now, he's not here as well.

I was sitting on my usual stool by the bar, talking to Carla and Juvia when the Guild doors opened revealing an unexpected visitor.

And upon instantly, my eyes crystalized with tears.

Lucy's POV

After shouting my name, they all looked away from me. Guilt written all over their faces.

Silence filled the atmosphere. Awkwardness followed. No one dared to talk nor move.

So, i decided to make the first move.

I bowed to them in sign of apology. They were shocked. Even Levy, who was standing beside me, gasped.

"L-Lu-chan, w-what are y-you -"

But before she could continue, i cut her off by an apology.

"MINNA! Gomenasai.. I didn't want to leave you like that, but i needed to." I said.

"Were the one who needs to apologize. We ignored you, causing you to leave. Were sorry." I heard Mirajane said. Many guildmembers agreed with her.

"But your ignorance was only half of the reason why i left." I countered while straightening myself.

"Half the reason? Then what's the other half?" Gray asked from the crowd.

I mentally panicked upon hearing his question arose.

"Because i needed to train my Star Goddess powers inorder to defeat Zeref in the future."

But of course, i didn't said that. Letting them know is the last one on my List. I can't let them get involved in such a dangerous event.

"The mission. It pays alot to the point that i don't need to work for months." I answered in return.

"Same old greedy Lucy, i see.." Erza said while shaking her head with a small smile on her pretty face.

"But I didn't changed." I reasoned out.

"In appearence, yes. But in the inside, no. Still the same Pure-Hearted Celestial Mage, we love." Levy said while nudging me forward.

"Agree. You look even prettier now, Lucy-san." Wendy said from the bar with an encouraging smile on her face.

"Wait... So are we forgiven?" A random guild member shouted causing the everyone to fell silent, once again.

"I was never mad at all of you." I said with a frown.

Saying that was a mistake, that's for sure. For the Guild was once again filled with tears of joy and cheers of happiness. They all swarmed over me and gave me a bone-crashing hug. Itai!

"Ca.....n't bre....at...he" i managed to say despite the lack of air because of the hug their breathing.

They must have heard me because they slowly moved away from me to let me breathe. I received apologetic smiles from them which i gladly returned with a warm and genuine smile.

"And who do we have here?" A loud voice boomed the entire guild. A voice familiar to me.

There, standing on the balcony of the second floor, is non-other than Master Makarov Dreyar.

"Master, i'm back." I said in a happy tone.

Master's frowning face instantly change upon sighting me. His facial expression changed to a wide grin. Relief and happiness can be seen on his face.

"BRATS! OUR LONG GONE MEMBER IS BACK! WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE BEST GIFT TO OFFER HER RETURN?" Master yelled causing everyone to cheer.

"PARTY!"

And with that, a party-long-night is borned.

Normal POV

It was unknown to all of them that someone was listening to every word they said.

He was leaning on the wall just beside the guild doors. His bangs covering his face.

"Lucy...."

He mumbled before standing up straight and started walking the familiar path to Lucy's Apartment.
