Chapter 7: Sari

Lucy's POV

  "Lulu.." i was shocked when i saw Sari, my own exceed, sitting on my bed when i entered my room.

  "Huh? Sari? What are you doing here? Speaking of which, why weren't you at breakfast?"

  "Well, i still feel guilty for almost breaking your bones yesterday. I know how much the Dragons and those Fairy Tail Mages value you. I may be overreacting but i think they're already planning my burial." sweatdropping, i sat down on the edge of the bed with her. She's always like this. Overthinking stuffs. Just like me actually.

  "Overreacting might be an understatement. Your hysterical, Sari. They would never do that."

  "I know. I'm just making up an excuse to personally come here to say sorry." my eyes softened at her flushed face. That's how Sari is. She's smart but shy. On my month here, we became really close. Me and Sari, i mean. Unknowingly, she became my own exceed. If your wondering, Sari was one of the exceed eggs that was sent to Earthland for a mission. But unfortunately, she didn't find a dragonslayer to take her in. She wandered for years, avoiding being killed and hunted. Aimlessly searching for a place where she can fit in and stay. After years of suffering alone, she stumbled upon Mama. She got lost and found herself on our estate's garden. Luckily, Mama was the one who found her. She feed the exceed and cured her wounds she acquired on her almost endless journey. Since Papa was never fond of magic, my mother decided to send Sari here in the Dragon Realm where she knows it would be safe for the exceed. It took quite a long time for Sari to adjust but now, she's practically apart of the family. Even though she's a cat and they're dragons.

  "It's alright. Nothing to apologize about. That reminds me, why were you in a hurry yesterday? You know, when you tackled me."

  "It's because I MISSED YOU! I didn't even know your back! I only found out when i heard some dragons talking about a meeting the 'princess' organized herself. Since your the only royalty here, i knew they were talking about you! That's why i asked around and found out that you were in fact here! I went to the palace in time to see you standing on the balcony. I guess i got too excited and overjoyed that i tackled you, literally. I didn't really think you would fall back. Sorry.." i can see the sincerity in her voice. She really was sorry and genuine. And it's not like i wasn't going to forgive her. What she did was nothing out of the ordinary considering my life at Fairy Tail before all of this. Not only that, i had to Natsu save me. So that's that.

  "As i said, it's alright. Did you had breakfast already?"

  "Yeah. While you were eating earlier with the rest, i sneaked out some eggs and bacon although Pastry caught me. Fortunately, she didn't got mad and allowed me to take the food with me and eat it here in your room. I was waiting for you ever since." she gestured to the empty plate that was placed on top of the study table near the bed. Pastry, as you guessed, is our head chef. She's incharge of the palace's kitchen. She makes the most delicious food, though her specialties are sweets. She loves baking, obviously the reason behind her name. She's a health dragon. A strong one at that. She's a non-elemental dragon which makes her type quite common. Infact, i personally know 3 or 4 other health dragons in this realm. Though, i doubt they are the only one's out there..

  "I see. Did you wait for long?"

  "Nope. Just 10 minutes or so. Where are the others?"

  "Others? Oh! You mean Fairy Tail and the Dragons? They already gone off to train on their own domains."

  "Aren't you visiting any of them?"

  "Hmmm, maybe later? I'll let them be for now. Just to let them know eachother more. Besides, i have my own training to do."

  "Oh, right. Your training to be a Celestial and Water Dragonslayer, right?" Huh? How did she know about that? I never once mentioned anything about it to her, at least not yet.

  "What? How did you know that?"

  "Psh. News travel past, Lulu. Just don't get too shocked when you hear rumors about you dating that Fire Dragonslayer spread all around the Realm." at her comment, my face immediately heated up.

  "We are not dating! I wouldn't be surprised if i hear that it will be you who spread those filthy lies!" i retorted back. The exceed just giggled at my reaction.

  "Whatever you say but the way you two look at eachother says otherwise."

  "Quit it. Do you want to come with me to training? I'll be at the Stellar Realm since i'll be learning Celestial Dragon Slaying first." she frowned slightly at my offer, probably wondering if she'll agree or not. The Stellar Realm is Celestia's domain or home. It's a large island located at the eastern part of the Dragon Realm. Majority of the place is covered with bermuda grass, some large trees were also planted and scattered around the island. A large waterfall with a beautiful lake at the bottom that keeps on glistening and sparkling whenever touched by moonlight. The sky was the perfect shade of dark royal blue with shimmering stars and has a wonderful view of the galaxy. Her island was a perfect spot for star gazing.

  "Sure. When are we leaving?"

  "Later. Celestia said our training starts at 12 noon. And as i can see, it's just 7 am in the morning. We still have more or less 5 hours to spare. What do you suggest we do?"

  "That's a long time.. Why don't we visit the others? We don't have much to do here in the Palace anyways." her suggestion got me thinking. She was right. We don't have anything to do here but sit around and eat. Our energy would just be wasted by non resourceful things. Then again, it won't hurt to visit them right?

  "I don't see why not. Who do you want to visit?"

  "I've been hearing stories about how obsessed with fishes Happy is. I want to meet him. If it's alright?" Much like Happy, Sari loves Fishes. It's her favorite meal. That's why i understand why she wants to meet him. Everyone find her obsession with fish pretty weird. Funny coming from large lizards who eats their own elements.

  "Sure. Happy's with Natsu and Igneel at the Hell Empire." Igneel's sanctuary is an island located at the west, beside Metallicana's. It's a place full of volcano and lava, courtesy of it's name. Though, you'll be shocked when you actually visit it. Your first impression would be hot as hell. But when i visited it over a month ago, i was wrong. The volcano's were real, sure did the lake of lavas. But since Igneel was the king of the Fire Dragons, he has the power to control the heat and temperature of everything. When i first stepped foot on his island, i was shocked when i felt warm instead of extremely hot. It turns out that Igneel tuned down the heat and made it bearable for humans and non fire dragons to live by. It was amazing. I even experienced bathing in a small pond of lava with Celestia and Serena and come out without any burn marks.

  "Eh? Come on! I want to go to Iggy's place again!" 'Iggy' was Sari's nickname for Igneel. As a matter of fact, she has a nickname for almost all of the Elemental Dragons.

  "Sure. Just give me a sec to change." taking some spare clothes from my closet, i entered the bathroom. I abandoned my clothes and changed into a more comportable and fresher outfit. Wearing a simple blue sleeveless blouse, denim shorts and sandals, i went outside. That's when me and Sari went out and ventured to the Hell Empire.

  "Iggy!" Sari called out once Igneel, Natsu and Happy were in sight. They were all standing, except for Happy who was flying, on the foot of the largest volcano on the island. Once Igneel's name was called, all three heads shot up and looked at us.

  "Princess Lucy?" The king of the Fire Dragon asked as we went closer, the temperature and atmosphere shifting from slightly hot to warm.

  "Hey, guys! Did we interrupt your training?" i asked rather sheepishly when i saw a shirtless Natsu, raising an eyebrow at me.

  "Not at all. We were just going to start. Do you want to watch Natsu climb up this volcano in less than 2 hours?" eh? the volcano Igneel was gesturing was more than half of Mt. Hakobe, which we hiked for about a day. It was rather impossible. Though, there was a blizzard when we climbed Mt. Hakobe which prolonged our journey so i can't really tell. I blinked dumbfounded as i stared at Natsu who was stretching and warming up. I visibly flushed once my eyes traveled through his toned muscles and abs. Gulping, i saw Natsu look back at me. He gave me a grin which made me even more redder.

  "Lulu? Why are you blushing?" this caught everyone's attention as they all looked at me, making me self conscious.

  "W-What? I'm n-not blushing! It's j-just hot in h-here! Yeah, t-that's it! " i mentally groaned as i realized that i stuttered more than i should. Curse you, Sari!!

  "Is the temperature still hot for you, Princess? Do you want me to tone it down a bit?" Igneel asked as he wiggled his eyebrows at me, playing along. With the mischievous glint in his eyes, i can tell that he didn't believe my reason one bit. And i'm also sure he knows why i'm blushing.

  "Is that so?" Sari inquired, doubting my choice of words. I glared at her before looking away. That's when my eyes landed on Natsu again. This time, he was the one who was looking at me with those mischievous and playful eyes. I almost fainted when he winked at me.

  That bastard! He knew i was checking him out! urgh!

Gomen minna-san!! SO SORRY FOR THE LATE UPDATE! I was really busy the past few days that i failed to write. Eehhhhh! I feel soo bad!! I can't promise that it won't happen again, though. Finals are just around the corners... Wish me luck!
