Chapter 6:

Lucy's POV

I slowly opened my eyes only to close it again once blinding light from the window reached my sight. I hissed in annoyance as i adjusted my eyes to the light. It didn't took long, though. Contented, i attempted to sit up to stretch my limbs but some force didn't allowed me to do so. Something warm and hard was draped over my waist, preventing me from extracting large movements. A sense of fear and panic enveloped me as i started to process what's happening.

"What t-the?" hesitatingly, i pushed myself away from a hard and toned figure which i presumed to be someone's chest. By then, all fear instantly vanished. 'I should have known..' sighing, i looked up at Natsu's sleeping features. He looked peaceful and well, attractive. His eyebrows were hunched together, forming a slight frown. His lips were slightly parted, allowing passage for air, while his eyes were gently closed. In a way, he looks cute. He doesn't seem to show any signs of being awake or will he be anytime soon. This is probably the reason why i had the courage to study him, since i know he's not going to use this agaisnt me. What he doesn't know won't hurt him, right?

But i know i need to stop gawking at him. Because once he woke up and see me watching him sleep, it won't be pretty. I don't want to be labeled as a pervert! Inhaling, i recollected my thoughts. As much as i enjoyed being in his arms, i can't stay much longer. May i need to remind myself that we are just friends? That he sees me nothing more than a bestfriend? With new found strength, i shrieked in fake shock and pushed the pyro out of my bed. Apparently, this startled the poor dragonslayer as he landed on the hard cold floor with a 'tud'. He hissed in what i assume pain as he sat up, rubbing the back of his head.

"Urgh. What t-the hell was that for Lucy?!" he glared at me which i willingly returned, matching his intesified look. Both of us held an expression that's far from hate, irritation and annoyance. It was pure mock and a friendly tease.

"That's what you get for sneaking in my room and sleeping beside me. AGAIN!" crossing my arms, i pouted and titled my head to look at the side while he just merely chuckled.

"Tch. It's nothing new. I do that all the time. You should have gotten used to it by now!" his words held a sense of truth in them, which i refused to confirm. Truth is, i would even freaked out if i don't find him and Happy in my apartment. They practically live there!

"Give me a break! On how you slip in my bed without waking me is still a big mystery! Wait.. that reminds me.. How did you even know where my room is?! I never showed nor told you anything!" I half expected him to shrug and not respond but instead, he laughed and sat up before ruffling my hair.

"I followed your scent, Weirdo. Now, changed and get ready. I can already smell breakfast downstairs." with that, he left. I stared at the door where he disappeared to with a dumbfounded expression. Why would he even bothered looking for me and sleeping here? He always whined that my bed was comfier than his hammock. And in here, beds on all chambers are identical and alike. That's why he can't use that same excuse with me. So, why did he sleep with me? Was he actually enjoying-Urgh! Don't even go there, Lucy!!

Now dressed in a white pull over sweater, shorts and knee boots, i abandoned my chambers. As i opened the door, i saw Natsu leaning at the wall beside my room. He has on his usual outside clothes that composed of a closed, one sleeve vest and white pants. Seeing me, his face immediately lit up as he pushed himself off the wall and stood infront of me.

"What took you so long, Luce?" The childish pyro whined as he towered infront of me. His expression showed impatience which made me roll my eyes.

"I never asked you to wait for me in the first place, idiot!"

"But we always eat breakfast together.." my face flushed in what seems to be embarassment. I hid it by glaring at him, much to his confusion.

"You only eat breakfast with me because it was free!"

"Eh? Of course not! I like your cooking!" rolling my eyes, i ignored his compliment. Instead of replying, i stucked my tongue out and puffed my cheeks before starting my venture to the dining hall. I heard him chuckle and before i know it, he was walking by my side. Once entering the dinning hall, scent of newly cooked food filled my nose. Smiling, i greeted everyone who were already seated at the long table.

"Ohayou, Minna!" grinning, i waved at them but i only received knowing looks, snickers and teasing smiles. Tensing, i unknowingly stepped back. For some reason, i felt like i'm missing something here..

"Huh? What's with the weird looks? Is Lucy starting to rub in on you?" a tick mark appeared on my head as i elbowed the unsuspecting pyro. Making unnecessary remarks isn't helping solve the problem. If not, it's only making things worse.

"Ahhh. Good Morning, Princess. I can tell that you and Mr. Dragneel slept well last night. I take it that the softness and texture of your bed was both to your likeness?" Serena said, not sparing me a glance. She focused on eating, her eyes not meeting mine as she spoke. But i didn't missed the playful glint on her eyes and the mocking smile she had on.

"W-What? Are y-you implying s-something?" hesitatingly, i questioned her.

"Don't even try to deny it, Lucy. Do i need to remind you that alnost everyone sitting on this table are dragons, some are even dragonslayers. We have sharp hearing." Celestia explained which caused me to blush even more. Crap! I had forgotten about that!

"Then, d-did you-"

"Yes, dear. We heard everything. So, you and Natsu alway sleep together, huh? How interesting.." Breeze had inquired, a devilish look on her face.

"Urgh! That's it! As Princess, I hereby ban matchmaking in the Dragon Realm! Any unneccessary comments or remarks being thrown to me or Natsu will be considered a crime! 12 years of imprisonment shall be bestowed upon the-"

"Lucy, your overreacting. We were just teasing." The Fire Dragon remarked as he shook his head lightly, displaying that he's indeed amused.

"Psh. Let's just drop that conversation! I had already made a training schedule for each Fairy Tail Mage i had brought with me. They, minus the dragonslayers, will be staying in this Realm for maximum of 3 weeks. Once their time has ran out, i will bring them back to earthland and return here with another batch of mages. Meanwhile, the Dragonslayers will stay here and train with their corresponding elemental dragons. They will master their dragon slaying magic, learn special, powerful and new techniques. Are my instructions clear?"

"Hai!"

"Moving on, i shall announce the pairings. A dragon and mage. Obviously, the dragonslayers will be paired to their foster parents. Natsu and Igneel, Wendy and Grandine, Gajeel and Metallicana. So now, for the real deal. Juvia, i will partner you with Serena. Seeing that both of you specializes in water magic, i knew for a fact that you both will do well." as their names were mentioned, their heads perked up. They looked at me for a split second before their eyes met. As if in acknowledgement, they smiled at eachother and nodded enthusiastically.

"Laxus, you will train with Blazt. Since Laxus has a dragon lacrima implanted in his body, it won't take long for him to master all Lightning Dragonslayer techniques." i swear, i saw them smirk hearing that they will be working together from now on. I'm not sure if it was because they get along or they just wanted to test eachother's strength and power. And i meant through fighting or sparring.

"Breeze, i will leave Gray to your care. He can stand the cold. It's actually where he developed his stripping habits. He also has lots of potential in him. I'm confident that he can handle whatever you throw at him, Breeze." With that being said, Gray chuckled and saluted the snow dragon. She giggled and shrugged before continuing on eating her breakfast.

"Erza, i'm putting you under Ria's supervision. She's a great swordswoman and also the Space Dragon. Since your requip magic has connection with space, i now that you two will be able to work perfectly with eachother." the mentioned requip mage offered a kind smile to the dragon whom she was paired with. The latter returned the nice gesture.

"And lastly, Levy.. I will appoint you to the Elderly Dragon. He is the oldest dragon, as you might have guessed. Though, he isn't to be underestimated. He's the smartest creature in this realm, with incredible memory and knowledge. He specializes in script magic, like yours. Only difference is that his is more advanced and complex. He can create things through the use of words and mind. He can make the most comflicated runes, barriers and enchantments which can be very useful during battles. Both for offense and defense. He can also make counter potions for almost every spells. But that's not all. He has a three storey library with approximately 500,000 books! You'll enjoy your time with him, that's for sure." the book worm's eyes sparkled in delight hearing the words 'books' and 'library'. I couldn't blame her though. That girl is inlove with books!

No one objected with my plans. I took that as a sign that they agree.

Here is another update as promised! The last part of my deal, which is updating Hidden Powers, will be up in less than half an hour. Hope you liked the chapter! And curse you Diamond (12CheshireCat)! I poured every ounce of my nerve cells just to reach the deadline! >__<
