Chapter 1: The Start

Lucy's POV

~A week after the Prologue~

"Is everyone ready?" i asked the group of Fairy Tail mages that were standing infront of me. They nodded and cheered as i suppressed a smile. They are lively as ever.

"Are you sure about this Lucy-san? I mean what if the dragons attack us? What if they don't like us?" the dark blue haired dragonslayer hesitatingly asked. She might not show it, but i can sense fear in her. She's afraid. Sighing, i kneeled to her level and ruffled her hair.

"Don't worry, Wendy. I won't let them hurt you or anyone here. And besides, the dragons are far more kinder and nicer than stories give them credit for. Give them a chance." Placing a hand on her small shoulder, i assured her. She seemed to believe my words as i felt her shoulders relaxed under my touch.

"Have you already told them, Lucy?" i shifted my attention back to the rest of the group before nodding. Though Erza, Gray and Laxus seemed unconvinced. They were narrowing their eyes at me rather suspiciously. Sighing in defeat, i raised both my hands like a criminal caught on the act.

"Alright. Alright. You got me. I already told them about this arrangement, don't worry. Even though majority of the dragons doesn't seem to mind, there were still who didn't like the idea. They won't touch or hurt you in any way if that's what your worried about. And this might sound selfish of me after so many favors i already asked, but can you to try and earn their trust?" i looked at them expectantly and well, desperately. They cringed at the tone and look i gave them and tried to resist. I almost smirked seeing that they were almost gonna give in. But a certain pink haired idiot stopped it. I felt his warm hand cover my eyes and pull me back towards him. I struggled and successfully pried his hand off only to see him grinning at me.

"Don't give us that look, Luce. It's evil." Glaring at him, i broke free from his hold.

"What do you mean 'evil'?!"

"Well, evil might be a little too strong to describe it."

"You think?" i crossed my arms infront of my chest and glared at him once again. Though he didn't budge nor flinch like he used to.

"It's just when your using those brown eyes of yours, its impossible for you not to get what you wanted." shrugging, he looked at me with a lazy smile. It took me a while to register his message and when i did, it almost knocked the air out of my lungs.

"Are you saying i'm irresistible?" i questioned him in disbelief. He seemed to realize his mistake as i saw his eyes widened.

"What? W-Where did you got that idea?!"

"Well, you said that it's almost impossible for me-"

"I know what i said! You d-don't have to repeat it! And besides, i was just t-trying to call you cute! So, d-don't get the wrong idea!"By this time, he was already bright red. I can't help but laugh at his embarrassment, the others joining in as well.

"Sheesh, Flame Brain. You need to learn a lesson or two when it comes to flirting." our ice mage friend was laughing rather hysterically and like always, this would tick off Natsu.

"What did you just say, Ice for Brains?!"

"You heard me the first time, Fire Freak!"

"And who ever told you i was flirting, yah stupid Stripper?" the latter was about to retort but fortunately was stopped by a certain requip mage. She held the guys on their hair and slammed their foreheads together. Natsu and Gray groaned as they hissed in pain.

"Were you to fighting again?" the red head asked them only to receive muffled 'no's. She seemed to believe their words as she decided to leave them be.

"O..k.. So, is everyone here?" i asked, trying to catch everyones attention. I scanned the group for any missing or late member but noticed none. There are 8 mages here; Natsu, Wendy, Gajeel, Erza, Gray, Juvia, Laxus and Levy. They were the first batch i chose to come with me to the Dragon Realm. Though, i received multiple complaints from the unpicked guild members, saying they also want to see what the Realm looks like. Thankfully, Master came to my rescue saying that it would raise unnecessary questions if the whole guild just disappeared one day and stopped accepting missions. It would cause us trouble with the council if ever.

"Seems like it." with a sigh, i stepped forward and concentrated. I closed my eyes and prepared myself to cast a spell.

"With the power bestowed upon me by the heavenly bodies, i hereby summon the portal leading to the Dragon Realm. Gateway to the Palace of the Stars, i open thee!" A big golden magic circle appeared beneath me as i performed the spell. I can hear my companions gasp as swirling portal appeared before us. I smiled proudly before looking back at the shocked group. With a giggle, i gestured for them to follow me. I jumped in the portal, my friends closely behind. Once inside, i felt the familiar nausea enter my body. I firmly closed my eyes and awaited patiently for it to disappear. Not a second later, we were out of the portal, the nausea long gone.

"I-Is this..? Glancing back at my comrades, i almost laughed seeing them perfectly amazed and shocked. I can't say i blame them though. We were now standing infront of the majestic castle i once called home for a month and a half. It stood high with pride as it seemingly shimmered under the sunlight. I surveyed the place and saw that no much had changed since i last left.

"W-Wow.. It's so b-beautiful.." i heard Wendy muttered which made me smiled. Turning to face them all, i gave them my biggest grin and gestured towards the palace. I was about to speak my greetings but appparently, someone had already beaten me to it.

"Welcome, Fairy Tail! Welcome to the Dragon Realm! It is such an honor to have you all come and visit." glaring at the speaker, who appears to be Serena and Celestia, i huffed and rolled my eyes. My actions seemed to come noticed by them as they chuckled and gave me apologetic smiles.

"Gomen, Princess. We know how dramatic you can get and well, the other Elemental dragons are already settled at the Meeting Hall." Glancing curiously at them, i raised an eyebrow.

"Huh? The Elemental Dragons? What are they all doing there? Did i called for a meeting or were you plotting an evil plan to prank me again?" i narrowed my brown orbs at them suspiciously which made them laugh nervously.

"Prank you? When did we do that?"

"Oh, so the time when the two of you along with Breeze left me behind on that freezing mountain on my second week here wasn't a prank? Or when Blazt and Rio left me to handle a pack of hungry wolves by myself? Or when Ria-"

"We got your point, Lyn! But i swear! They weren't pranks!" Serena cut me off before i continue on rambling on and on.ynk

"Then what was it?!"

"It was part of your training! To adapt to your surroundings or whatever they call it!"

"Oh, sure. And putting wasabi on my breakfast was part of my training. I swear, you guys are sadist!" i shuddered at the thought. I remembered how i drank two pitchers full of water just to remove the spicy ness on my tongue. I even had red swollen lips for two days because of it!

"It wasn't our doing! Blame that pyro and metal head for it!" i tensed up having realized something. I titled my head to the side and saw my friends awkwardly standing they either had a look of surprise, confusion or amusement. I cleared my throat and glared at the two dragons infront of me. They seem to realize the scene we have caused and blushed slightly.

"Uhh, Sorry about that guys. Anyways, you've all met Celestia right? In that case, i want you all to meet Serena. She's the water dragon. Serena, these are my friends." i introduced her to my friends, gesturing to who-is-who as i call their name.

"Oh, it's so nice to meet you. Thank you so much for taking good care of our Princess. We know how much she can be hard headed at times. And oh, you must be Igneel's, Metallicana's and Grandine's child."
