Chapter 1
It was a calm night, and up in the sky the stars shone brightly down upon Britannia. Suddenly the stars burst into action, moving across the skies crossing over each other in a brilliant display.
All across the continent, twelve individuals looked up at the sky, words of an old prophecy as old as time. "When shooting stars fill the night sky in the form of crosses Britannia will face it's most desperate hour."
A teal haired girl looked up at the sky through the leaves of the forest, a pair of siblings stopped their argument as their eyes were drawn to the movement above them, a man illuminated by the flames of a campfire peeked out of the cave he was laying in to see the spectacle. In a castle an armor-clad knight leaned against the wall of a training ground as he watched while in another kingdom a blonde knight stopped her nightly patrol to watch. Two fairies watched from within the Fairy King's Forest. A masked woman stopped her mountain climbing and singlehandedly hung from a ledge with her eyes turned towards the sky. In a lake a blue haired girl swam up to the surface her eyes wide as she watched the stars fly through the sky. Around him in a far off village a kid listened as those around him talked in awe of the spectacle, his pwn eyes staring blankly in front of him. A man with messy dark hair stopped along the path he was walking looked up at the sky as a cool night breeze rushing past him, and finally at the top of a mountain, a girl with wings as black as the sky above her tilted her head upwards.
Despite all of them being far apart from each other, one single thought ran through their heads. It's time.

"So, mind explaining what we're doing walking through this forest, captain?" A tall blue haired man asked, looking around at the various trees that surrounded them.
"There have been rumors of some kind of mysterious wind keeping people away from the innermost part of this forest." A smaller boy, the Captain, responded. "There have been a lot of reports of Holy Knights going in and leaving the forest with tons of injuries."
"So you were thinkin' it was one of us, huh? Who do you think?"
"I'm thinkin' Merlin. She's the only one who'd do something like this."
"Right, and when do you think we'll see this 'mysterious force- woah!" The taller of the two was sent flying back, and the smaller boy just stood and watched as his friend was hurled right into a tree.
"You alright there, Ban?"
"Never better." Ban jumped up from where he was and rolled his shoulder, "Looks like we've found it. How do you suppose we get through it."
The Captain paced a hand to his chin and reached forwards, his hand meeting some kind of resistance from an invisible barrier. "Well, I had kind of hoped the barrier would let us in, so I haven't really thought that far ahead." He pressed his hand against the barrier before a strong wind made him flying back.
"Maybe if we keep trying we'll somehow get through!" Ban suggested.
The captain was quiet for a second before he smiled, "Great idea!"

Not too far from where the two newcomers were, a blue haired woman was sitting in the branches just beyond the barrier. watching as the two flung themselves into the barrier and were sent flying back only a few seconds later.
"Idiots." She muttered. "They should know by now they're not going to get through." She rested her head on her knee as she watched the taller man, Ban, fly back into a rock and get back up like he didn't just break a few bones.
She crouched down on the tree branch she was standing on and narrowed her eyes, studying the two as they kept on flinging themselves into the barrier. The two of them looked familiar to her, and she was sure she had seen them before but she couldn't exactly place her finger on when. Though considering the power that radiated off the two she assumed they were Holy Knights from the castle.
After watching them try a few more times, she decided to confront them. Jumping down from the tree branch she walked up the the barrier, looking at the two newcomers who had stopped in their tracks at her arrival. "Holy Knights aren't welcome here. Leave before I force you out."
"Holy Knights? No, you've got the wrong idea." The smaller of the two said, "We're just here lookin for a friend. That's all."
"Unless that friend is a Harpy, then I highly doubt you'll find them here." The girl crossed her arms and tilted her head back slightly. "Now Leave."
Before any of the two could say anything more, there was a rustling in the bushes and the girl's gaze snapped from the two to the rustling bushes. Out from the leaves came three more men, all of them clad in shining armor and holding weapons that looked too big for them.
"Holy Knights?!" The kid asked, him and his friend immediately getting into an offensive stance.
"Stay behind us, little lady. We'll protect you." The taller of the two said.
"Stay behind you?" The girl scoffed, walking forwards and past the two boys, "I should be the one saying that to you two." She turned her attention to the Knights and cracked her knuckles, "I thought you three would of learned after last time that you're not getting past here."
"You might of beat us last time, but we'll be getting to the refuge one way or another, and if the only way is by killing you then so be it!" The knight in the middle exclaimed. He raised his spear before pointing it directly at the girl, a torrent of water rushing straight towards her.
"Hey watch out!" The kid exclaimed, reaching out towards the girl only to stop mid-motion with a shocked look on his face. In front of him the girl hadn't moved an inch, but the water that had been rushing towards her had stopped in it's tracks, suspended in midair.
"You think stopping my water is all it takes to take down me? A Holy Knight?"
"Holy Knight? All I see are a group of pathetic apprentices who think that attacking a village in the middle of the woods will help you become Holy Knights. Now, I've already given you three a warning, so unless you want to turn back now and leave the village and this forest alone I might show you some mercy as I chase you all out of here." The girl said, when the knights didn't move an inch the suspended water started to bubble, steam rising up into the air. "Alright, it seems that you have chosen your fate. Now, I'm going to have to remove you from the forest personally." She gave them a sweet smile and the now boiling water sped straight towards the three knights.
The moment the boiling water hit them they all screamed in pain and slowly the water surrounded all three of them completely. With ease, the girl flicked her wrist and the knights were sent out of the forest. She let out a sigh and placed her hands on her hips. "This is the second time today. How many times will I have to chase those idiots away."
From behind her, she could feel the two pairs of eyes on her and she let out a sigh, and turned to look back at them.
The two looked at each other then looked at her, before the smaller of the two, Meliodas, spoke up. "Who are you, and how were you able to take those Holy Knights down that easily?"
"First of all, they were only apprentices so not that hard to take down. Just a little boiling water and off they go. Secondly My name is Brooke Rivulet, it's a pleasure." She tapped her fist on her chest and gave them a short bow in greeting. "So, mind telling me why the sins are reuniting after all this time?"
"Aren't you digging a little too much into our personal lives?" Ban asked, raising an eyebrow and leaning forwards getting in her face.
"I'm just trying to understand why a group a people who had been banished for killing the Grandmaster Holy Knight ten years ago are coming back together, and not being all too quiet about it. Well, that and I want to join you guys."
"Join us?"
Brooke nodded, "I've been having the suspicion that there's been something happening with the Holy Knight for quite a while now. I've been going around helping those in need for years and in the past two years most of the time they're needing help from the so called 'Holy Knights' who've been terrorizing and I don't know what's happening with them exactly, but there's something wrong and I want to help get to the bottom of what's happening."
"You've noticed it too?" Maliodas asked.
"Anyone with two eyes and a working brain could notice it. They're not exactly being discreet."
"What makes you think we'll let you join us?"
Brooke grinned, "Let's just say I could be a valuable asset to your team. And I have more than a few friends that could help out."

It didn't take long before Brooke was able to enhance the wind barrier to further protect the refugee village and head back to what looked to be some kind of tavern that was laying on the outskirts of the forest.
"Captain, your back!" A voice exclaimed and Brooke looked up to see a giant running up to them, the ground shaking slightly with each step. From what she remembered the giantess in front of her was Diane, the Serpent Sin of Envy.
"Sir Meliodas, welcome back." A girl said, stepping out of the Tavern with a soft smile. With just a single glance, Brooke managed to recognize her easily. It was hard to miss that long silver hair and delicate features.
"You find who you were looking for?" Another voice said, and Brooke looked down to see a pig walking up to them. It was kind of surreal to see a talking pig. Though he wasn't the weirdest thing Brooke had seen so she'll get used to him, eventually.
"Hey Captain! Hm, who's this? Didn't you suspect Merlin to be in that forest? I wouldn't put it past her to have some kind of disguise spell." Someone else asked, and Brooke saw what looked to be a young boy fly out of the Tavern with a pillow in his hands. While he didn't look anything like he did ten years ago, Brooke still recognized him as the Bear sin of Sloth.
"Let me introduce myself." Brooke placed a fist on her chest and bowed, giving them the same greeting that she had gave Ban and Meliodas. "Brooke Rivulet, at your service. In the past year I've noticed something up with the Holy Knights and I want to get to the bottom of it. What better way than to team up with the Seven Deadly Sins?"
"I'm glad that there's someone willing to help us. My name is-"
"Elizabeth, correct?" Brooke said, watching as the girl's eyes widened in shock. Brooke just chuckled slightly, "I've been around the palace before when you were much younger. You probably wouldn't of remembered seeing me."
"Oh, that makes sense. Well it's a pleasure to meet you, Lady Brooke."
"Glad to be on board."

Whoot! A rewrite!
Looking back at the original I decided that I didn't like some of it. a lot of it, actually. There were too many of my characters that were similar to canon ones. So, I've revamped all the characters and the entire story! So, even if you've read the original you won't know what happens because I've changed quite a few things!
Anyways, here's a picture of Brooke! Both a full body that I drew myself and a small screenshot edit to more put her in the anime style!
Merry Crimus!
