32 - Painting (Final)
"So they're okay now?"
Jungkook looked at his manager while he cleaned his paintbrush. His newest piece was almost completed but he just needed something more.
He still hadn't figured out what it was.
"Yeah, they're getting there. Yoongi hyung is more open now with Jiminie hyung. It might take some time but I think they'll be okay soon." Jungkook answered as he dried his brush, waving the brush around and the water droplets sprayed on Hoseok.
"Stop that!"
Jungkook giggled.
"You seem happier nowadays."
"I am happier." Jungkook walked to stand in front of Hoseok, resting his hands on the older's shoulders. "Are you, hyung?"
Hosoek pushed Jungkook's hands away with class and rolled his eyes. "I'm not going to let a man dictate whether I am happy or not."
Jungkook smiled. This was the Hoseok he knew.
"Anyways, what are you doing after this? Want to go grab dinner?" The manager asked, still focused on wiping the water spots off his suit.
Jungkook grinned. "Can't tonight. My good looking boyfriend is coming over."
"Urgh."
Giggling, Jungkook jumped around Hoseok to give him a backhug, resting his chin on his shoulder, and instead of pushing him away, the older simply leaned against the hug and sighed, putting his own hand on top of Jungkook's.
"Thank you, hyung."
"For?"
"For rescuing me from that house years ago."
"I didn't do anything. Dad was the one who took you in and got you what you needed."
"Thank you to both of you. I probably would have died if it weren't for you and Mr. Jung." Jungkook whispered out. He truly was thankful for everything the family had done for him.
"Should I be worried?"
Jungkook let go of Hoseok and spun around to see Taehyung leaning against the door frame, his arms crossed in front of his chest.
The younger took a few moments to savor the sight of Taehyung, sleeves folded to the elbows, two top buttons of his white shirt popped off. His shirt was still smartly tucked into the waistband of his perfectly fit black pants and Jungkook loved the older's broad chest and small waist.
His blonde hair parted slightly in the middle and the tanned skin seemed to glow even more from the night lights.
"Nothing is to be worried about, Mr. Kim. He was just feeling sentimental for a moment." Hoseok smiled and reached to shake hands with Taehyung, which the younger responded to. "I'm Jung Hoseok."
"He's always a little bit more sentimental around this time of the day, isn't he?" Taehyung smiled.
"Yeah. And he's always grumpy right before—"
"Mealtime!"
Jungkook watched as the other two men who bonded in one second laughed. "Should I be worried?"
Hoseok looked over at him and smiled. "It's not even possible for you to feel jealous from this, Jungkook ah."
"I should," and typical of Jungkook's mouth, he couldn't stop it from running on its own, "especially since you guys liked each other."
"What?"
"What?" Jungkook looked panickingly towards Taehyung who had his eyes wide with fear.
Dammit mouth!
They both slowly turned to Hoseok who frowned at them. Jungkook cursed.
"What are you talking about?" Hosoek asked Jungkook and when Jungkook didn't want to answer, he turned to Taehyung. "What is he talking about?"
Jungkook looked at Taehyung who took a deep breath and smiled at his manager.
"Hi Jung Hoseok." Taehyung waved.
Jungkook turned to his manager to see his expression changed from confusion to disappointment when Taehyung continued, "Or should I call you J-Hope?"
"Fuck..." Hoseok sat down on one of the stools in the studio, and pulled his hair back. He was quiet for a minute.
Jungkook however was surprised that his manager hyung cursed.
Hoseok looked at Taehyung with narrowed eyes. "You're Vante?"
Jungkook speedily turned to look at Taehyung who cringed at that nickname. "Vante?"
"I was young and dumb. Don't question it." Taehyung quietly answered.
"You knew I was Jungkook's manager?" Hoseok's face was a mixture of sadness, anger and disappointment. With a hint of relief.
Taehyung nodded.
"Since when?"
"For quite some time."
The eldest nodded. "Did you know me when I was with Jimin and Yoongi?"
Vante nodded again.
"Why didn't you come see me in person?"
Taehyung shrugged. "I was quite heartbroken."
Hoseok nodded. "Yeah. I understand that. I'm sorry... For what happened."
Jungkook watched his boyfriend nodded as he accepted the apology. He felt Taehyung's arm circling his waist and smiled.
"It's all in the past now, Hoseok. I'm over it."
Hoseok smiled and look at Jungkook before turning back to Taehyung. "Yeah I can see that." He got up and brushed his pants from dusts. "Also, I'm your hyung." He directed it towards Taehyung who smiled and nodded. "Well, I should go now."
Jungkook nodded and went to give Hoseok a hug. "You're okay, right hyung?"
The painter let his manager squeezed air out of his lungs as he returned the embrace. "I'm good. My conscience is clear now." Hoseok looked at Taehyung and smiled.
The manager left them and Jungkook sat back on his stool, staring into the painting he was doing. He looked up as Taehyung hugged his shoulders and kissed the top of his head.
He felt a hand under his chin, lifting it up so his head was tilted backwards, while Taehyung looked down on him, smiling.
Jungkook closed his eyes when Taehyung leaned closer and he felt the familiar soft lips on his.
He liked the fact that their kisses sometimes were all but lustful. They weren't kisses to make out or as a preface to sex, but subtle actions of conveying their love for one another.
Just like right now, when Taehyung pressed his lips on Jungkook's, and the younger parted his slightly to make space for the older's bottom lip, fitting them together like jigsaw puzzles.
It lasted not more than a few seconds but Jungkook could always feel the tingling lasting for moments after.
"This is beautiful." Taehyung said as he looked at the canvas.
Jungkook tilted his head to the side as he tried to figure out what else he needed his painting. "Hmm... But it's not done yet. Like something is missing."
"It looks perfect to me."
Jungkook thought for a moment before standing up. "Come sit here, hyung." He gestured for the older to claim the stool he was sitting on and he stood behind.
Holding onto his boyfriend's hand, Jungkook slipped a paint brush into the fingers and helped hold it.
"Do you want me to paint?"
Instead of answering, Jungkook dipped the tip of the brush into some blue and mixed it with a little bit of black, and added a smear of dark purple.
He smiled looking at the color. It resembled a dark and peaceful night.
"Hyung, move your hand as how you would through my hair everytime before we fall asleep." Jungkook whispered from behind Taehyung.
Jungkook felt the hesitation in Taehyung's movement but it was quickly replaced with soft and gentle strokes.
The painter smiled as he watched his love putting colors on his canvas and stopped him when he felt it was enough.
"Was that okay?" Taehyung stood up to stand behind Jungkook and looked at the painting from a different angle.
Jungkook smiled. "It's perfect." He sighed as Taehyung wrapped his arms around his waist and Jungkook leaned his head on the older's shoulder.
"What is it called?" Taehyung whispered.
Jungkook closed his eyes.
"Good Night."

💕Thank you so much for staying with The Stalker till the end.💕
Yes this is the end.
But!
There will be epilogues (yes, more than one epilogue cause unnie couldn't let go of this book 🤦).
Plus an extra chapter called Snippets. Basically filled with scenarios I thought of but couldn't fit them into the storyline.
Thank you again for 6.5k reads! 😘😘😘
