31 - Jin

Jin watched as the couple snuggled up against each other.

A part of him still wanted to object to this, but seeing how Jimin finally seemed happy, Jin gave up for now.

God knows how he would kill Yoongi if anything ever happened to the small boy again.

"You okay babe?" Namjoon asked when Jin came into their room after a shower. "Come here." The younger man patted the space next to him on the bed as he set the first aid kit down.

Jin followed the order, sitting down next to Namjoon and leaned closer for him to clean and disinfect his temple wound. "I'm fine." He spoke bitterly.

Namjoon chuckled and Jin glared at him. He wasn't in the mood for giggles right now. Jimin left with Yoongi and Jin was left to worry.

"You can stop, you know." Namjoon said softly, cleaning the small cut on the skin.

"Stop what?" He hissed when he felt the sting on his wound but smiled slightly when he felt Namjoon blowing cool air on the pain.

"Stop blaming yourself."

"What are you talking about?"

Namjoon stopped his hands and put away the kit before pulling Jin so he was facing him. "Why are you doing all this for Jimin?"

Jin couldn't understand what Namjoon was trying to say. Jimin was their friend. A dear friend as well. Of course he would do all he can to make sure the kid was okay.

"He's a friend." Jin gave Namjoon an incredulous look. "Why wouldn't I do this?"

"Baby..." Namjoon pulled him closer so he was now on his lap. "I think," he kissed Jin's chin and the older sighed, "you feel guilty."

"Why should I feel guilty? Yoongi's the one who hurt Jimin." Jin frowned at his boyfriend but snuggled closer anyway. He needed this familiar warmth after a day of drama.

"Yes. But you were the one who got them together in the first place."

Jin sucked in a painful breath.

Namjoon was right.

He had tried to make up for his mistake by sheltering Jimin when the younger came back from the hospital.

No. He started it even when Jimin was still at the hospital.

Jin realized he shouldn't have asked Jimin to come to his party.

None of this would have happened if he didn't text the invite to Jimin.

Both of them wouldn't have met.

"But baby, Jimin wouldn't have found the love of his life and Yoongi wouldn't have wanted to change if it weren't for him."

Jin looked at his boyfriend. He realized he must have had spoken out his thoughts.

"But..." Jin sobbed as he put his forehead on Namjoon's shoulder, clutching the younger's pajama tight.

"You can't blame yourself for them falling in love. Give yourself a credit for it instead. Help them like what Yoongi asked of you."

Jin felt Namjoon's lips at the top of his head.

"The only reason why Yoongi asked you to help him change instead of other people is because you, baby, love the best."

Jin cried for the longest time in Namjoon's arms. Nothing felt right but at the same time, nothing felt wrong anymore.

He knew he had to stop blaming Yoongi. He knew he had to stop blaming himself as well.

Jin's mind went through the civilized conversation he had with Yoongi after the bloody battle. He knew this time, Yoongi would be different.

"First of all," Jin spoke out loud enough as he pointed his finger and tap the top of the coffee table to emphasize his point, "no more hurting him physically. Which especially means, no cigarettes around Jimin."

Yoongi nodded. "I've stopped smoking."

Jin frowned at this new information. "Since when?"

"Since..." Yoongi's eyes went to Jimin who had his head on Yoongi's lap, eyes closed as he took a nap on the couch. "Since that night at the hospital."

Jin nodded. Indeed that was surprising, knowing how Yoongi lived on cigarettes for all the years he'd known him.

"Second of all, don't ever hurt his feelings. He's a precious human being that deserves all the loving words from the man he loves so much."

Yoongi looked down again and brushed his fingers through Jimin's soft hair. "That, I don't know how to." It was barely a whisper but the effect was colossal.

Jin's heart broke for the first time for Yoongi.

Jin had known the man for so many years ever since college. He knew the man's background and character.

Of course Yoongi had never even once complimented Jin. Not even for all the cooking he did for him in the past. Jin didn't mind it though. He couldn't care less.

But he always thought Yoongi would be different with Jimin.

"Have you ever thought Jimin's beautiful?"

"Every single time I see him."

Jin smiled. "Then tell him that."

Yoongi nodded again.

"Have you ever told him why you fell in love with him?"

The pale man shook his head.

"What made you fall for Jimin?"

Yoongi smiled. "His smile."

"Why is his smile special?"

"It always reaches his eyes."

"And what happens to you when you see him smile?"

Yoongi stayed quiet for a bit. "It feels like nothing else matters anymore. No matter how shitty I would feel, he'd smile and all the shitty things turn... Blurry."

Jin nodded at Yoongi's choice of word. He still had a long way to go to say nice things to Jimin but this was a start.

"Last things last," Jin said and Yoongi looked up to him, "he is more than enough. Don't break him just because you feel unworthy of him. Instead, make him see why you are the one he should stay with, every single day."

Yoongi nodded. "He has always been more than enough."

"Yoongi." Jin leaned closer to put his hand on Yoongi's.

"So are you."
