Chapter 6

       Alya's POV:

I reported the incident last night.

      I remembered it well.

"See, a prowler snooped around at Adrien Agreste's home."

"Only my boss believed me. No one else does."

"What you need here is proof, Miss Cesaire."

"I refuse to print an article about Adrien Agreste's trouble without any solid evidence. No, what you have here is hearsay. I cannot accept it."

"Mr. Fondo, he does have someone snooping around his place, rather regularly, I might add."

I argued with the newspaper editor until my cheeks were red with anger.  I was positively steamed, he refused to hear me out.

Goodness, everyone knows, I have been a reporter ever since graduate school with a double degree in journalism, and videography.

I intended to get to the bottom of this story if it is the last thing I did.

It is my story.  After all, my boss said, "You have some good leads here, so roll with the punches."

I knew my viewers, depended on me for a good story, and that is what I intended to give them.

I returned home where I slept, woke up early, showered, changed clothes, and waited.

I am not sure what I waited for, to be honest.  I only knew I needed to be on the lookout for clues. Clues that proved I knew what I was talking about.

I saw him around noon. This is to say, Adrien Agreste came back home from his most recent photoshoot.

I saw some girl land on his balcony.  Before I could interview her, she ran off. All I saw behind her was the trail, of red ribbon, in her path.

Hmm, strange I thought, this girl whoever she was, usually only came by at night.  Yet, here she was in broad daylight.

The story continues in Chapter 7...

     bye-bye, little owlets!

   -Summer out!
