The Apartment
Lexie's POV
As soon as mom and I got our bags from the terminal, we took a taxi to our new apartment. It wasn't classy, but it was ok. To tell the truth, I didn't really like it.
"How do you like the apartment?" Mom asked. "It's nice," I replied. "Ish," I muttered under my breath. "Well, let's head upstairs." She told me as we entered the building. I sighed, knowing it would take FOREVER to unpack ALL my things. When we got up, mom put the key in the lock and we went inside. It was boring. No paint, no curtains, no blinds, no nothing. My mom seemed to read my mind. "Well, we better go to the hardware store and get some decorations," my mom said. "How about we paint it brown and blue," I suggested. "Ok," said my mom. Then we walked to the moving van, which had been sent to New York a week prior to the day we arrived at. I got my box with my bed, taken apart, and ready to be reassembled again. I had to do it myself. Bleh.
About an hour later, I was finished. I put my blue blankets on my bed, then my green and red pillows. Now I just had to decorate. With the help of mom, I brought my desk into the room. Then I set up everything else, and by 10pm, I was completely finished. Then I ate dinner with my mom. Pizza. It was good. Better than California pizza. Then I went to my room and fell asleep in my new room, wondering how bagels would taste in the morning.
