How much longer?

          Lexie's POV
Finally, we got to the hospital. Not that I was excited, I really wasn't. My mom carried me inside, where we were met by a few guys and a stretcher. My down mom set me down on the stretcher, and followed the guys to a room, where they got a doctor to take care of me.
She stood outside, talking to the doctor when he was finished with me. He asked her if I got a flu shot, and she said no. I guess that's why I'm here now. All of this over not wanting to get a stupid little shot. Wow.
The doctor and my mom came back in. He gave me a flu shot, then said to my mom, "I think you should let her stay the night. Ok?" "Ok,"said my mom. "Nooooooo mom, I want to go back home. I don't want to sleep here!" I whined. "Honey, it's for the best." Said my mom. I knew I had no choice. I was going to be forced to spend a night at the hospital.
Finally, my mom left. I didn't want her to leave. I wanted her to stay and change her mind and tell me I could come home with her. But she left, and none of that happened. The doctor said I had a fever of 103 degrees Fahrenheit now. My face was pale. I rolled over and fell asleep. In the morning I woke up. My mom was asleep in the chair next to my bed. I sniffled, then coughed. I rolled over and fell asleep again, wondering how much longer this would be. Being sick was making me tired.
