Chapter 9

Chapter 9

“Oh my God no more bed time stories.” Dylan said, standing up from his youngest brother’s bed. “Go to sleep.”

“Goodnight Dylan. Goodnight Sam.” Noah said.

“Night.” Jake said from the other side of the room.

Dylan sighed and took my hand, leading me out of the room. I loved his house. On the first floor there was the kitchen/dining room. The living room was essentially the playroom, and there was Rob’s office. Upstairs there was the master bedroom, a bedroom for Noah, Jake, and Freddie, and a room for Dylan and the twins. Apparently The twins used to be with the younger kids and Dylan shared a room with his other brothers, but when they left, the rooms changed around.

“My room’s nothing compared to yours...” Dylan said awkward as he showed me into a room.

“I like it.” I smiled, looking around. There were pictures and posters up on the walls, and it looked like 3 guys lived in here.

“That’s the twins bunk, and my bed’s over there.” Dylan said, pointing to the twin bed in the corner.

“Fancy.” I giggled. “Did I ever give you a tour of my house?” I asked, sitting down on his bed.

“Nope.” Dylan said, shutting the door behind him as he walked in. I just nodded, smiling as he laid down on his back next to me.

“Do we have practice tomorrow?” He asked as I laid down against his arm.

“Nope. We have this weekend off.” I grinned, turning to look at him.

“Yay.” He said softly.

“So how about that kiss now?” I whispered, running my fingers through his hair. Dylan smiled and I leaned forwards to press my lips against his. His hands were on my waist, and he pulled me closer. I felt his tongue against mine, and I pulled lightly on his hair.

“Open door!” Rob called up the stairs. Dylan groaned and pulled away from me. He walked over to his door and opened it up.

“Sorry!” He called down the stairs, then walked back to my with the door still open. I laughed, sitting up.

“Want to go back to my place? Watch some TV?” I asked, standing up and putting my hands on his waist, pressing my body against his.

“Of course.” Dylan said. He grabbed his keys off of the table next to his bed and followed me downstairs.

“We’re going to go to Sam’s now.” Dylan said to his parents, who were in the family room watching TV with his other three brothers.

“Alright be home by 11, or call us if you’re spending the night.” Kate said. Dylan raised his eyebrows.

“I can do that?” He asked.

“As long as your careful.” Rob said.

“Oh God. Dad no. Just. No.” Dylan said, shaking his head.

“But yes, I trust Sam, you can spend the night there if you want.” Kate smiled.

Dylan looked at me, and I looked at him.

“Sleepover!” We cheered.

“I’ll be right back.” He said, then ran up the stairs. I laughed and looked at Kate.

“Thanks.” I smiled. Dylan came running down the stairs later with a plastic bag in his hand.

“What’s that?” I asked.

“Sweatpants and a t-shirt.” He grinned.

“In a plastic bag?” I asked.

“Yep.”

“God you’re such a boy.”

“And you’re such a girl.” Dylan said, putting his arm around my shoulder as we walked out to his car.

I laughed. We turned on the radio, and loudly sang, as usual, on the way home.

“Fuck.” I said, looking at the cars in my driveway.

“What’s wrong?”

“The guys are here...” I said, standing next to Dylan as he grabbed his football bag out of the back of his truck.

“So?” Dylan said.

“When the guys are there, and I’m not, my parents get mad, and that makes my sisters in a bitchy mood, and it always ends with a yelling match.” I said, walking up to the front door.

As usual, my dad was waiting in the kitchen.

“Where were you? It’s 10:15.” He said, crossing his arms.

“I was at Dylan’s house for dinner.” I smiled, trying to keep the mood.

“Just go downstairs. Your sisters are very mad that you missed their dance competition.” My dad said harshly. I rolled my eyes at him and walked downstairs with Dylan.

“Finally! Where were you?” Nate asked as I got downstairs.

“Out.” I shrugged. “I’m going to have a shower.” I said and walked into the bathroom.

I changed into some cotton shorts and a tank-top after my shower, and let my hair down natural. I walked out of the bathroom and jumped on my bed.

“What are you doing?” Dylan asked, looking over.

“Homework.” I replied.

“You have all weekend to do that.” Nate laughed.

“Yea but I want to get it done now.” I shrugged, opening up my Chemistry textbook. “That way I can do other things over the weekend.”

“We don’t have practice.” Ryan grinned. “I’m just going to be with Lacey all the time.”

I rolled my eyes. Ryan and Lacey had been dating for over 4 years... They were both seniors though, and were going to different schools next year.

“Yea I’m practically going to live at Hannah’s.” Nate grinned, leaning back in his chair. I rolled my eyes.

“You guys annoy me with your stupid long term relationships.” I laughed.

“Relationships annoy you?” Dylan asked, raising his eyebrows.

“No!” I said quickly. “I just think it’d get boring after a while, like, I’d want to keep going out on dates all the time and being all cute and cuddly, not settling into a boring way of life.” I laughed.

Luke’s eyes widened.

“You have a boyfriend!” He exclaimed, jumping up.

“What?!” I said nervously.

“Oh my God yes she does! Her eye’s twitching!” Nate laughed. All the guys crowded around me, trying to figure out who it was.

“Who is it?”

“Do we know him?”

“God can you guys stop I’m trying to do my homework!” I groaned, feeling my cheeks turn pink.

“Awh she’s blushing.” Nate teased.

“Come on just tell us we won’t make fun of you.” Matt said as Nate and Ryan jumped on my bed. They started jumping up and down like monkeys.

“I’m not going to endure your endless teasing and shit alright. Please just drop it.” I said, looking down at my notes.

“Oh my God is it Dylan?!” Luke yelped.

“Why would it be Dylan?” I asked, looking up.

“Because he’s sitting over there, not asking who it is!” Luke exclaimed.

“That’s because I don’t feel like squeezing it out of her. If she wants to tell us she will.” Dylan shrugged, looking down at his phone.

“Oh.” Nate sighed. “Just tell us!”

“NO!”

I just watched 21 Jump Street with my mom lol

And earlier today I got the BEST idea for a sequel to this story (exciting I know) so I'm thinking this story is going to be like 30-35 ish chapters and then an epilogue and then a sequel but I'm not sure if I have enough inspiration for a sequel...

Update: Tomorrow (Tuesday)
