If you enjoyed The Spirits Three, whether you had read it on Wattpad or you own a copy of the completed book, please consider taking a few seconds to leave a rating on Goodreads and anywhere else you can think of!

Independent authors rely on ratings and reviews for their books to be made visible to more potential readers.

This is only an excerpt of The Spirits Three. You can find the links to purchase the final version  (which contains illustrations and has been fully edited and improved with the help of beta readers) as well as my other books here (I would be so grateful!):

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Firstly, thanks to my wonderful mom, Susan, for being so enthusiastic about reading and critiquing my stories and cheering me on.

Thanks also to these talented, kindhearted authors and readers who got this novella where it is today: S.L. Baron, Jessica Piro, L.E. Glazebrook, Raine Vaughan, DebbAnn, J.M. Coles, and S.A. Krishnan. Please go check out their books too!

Last but certainly not least, I want to give my appreciation and gratitude to four beautiful souls who are no longer with us.

This book is dedicated to my late grandmother, Marjorie, and my late dog, Ruby. My grandmother was one of the first people to believe in me. She expressed interest in reading my books and I told her I'd gift her copies. Unfortunately, I suffered from too much imposter syndrome back then and aimed to polish them first. I regret that choice because she never did get to read them. I know she would have supported me like she did in every other way. I'll never forget our big hugs and how we would correspond by letters throughout my childhood and into my adolescence. I practice my cursive sometimes, always thinking about her and how she would add little happy faces to her letters.

My dog, Ruby, was with me every night, lying right there beside me on the floor while I studied for school exams or wrote stories. She was there when I wrote my first scary scene at 2 a.m. in the dark—she snuck into my room and pressed her cold, wet nose onto my skin. I almost shrieked and awakened the entire house. I will never forget our snuggle sessions and how we would chase each other across the backyard.

The other two souls I want to thank are Jim Heter and Sue Hart. They are two of the first authors I met when I started writing. For nearly a decade, we read each other's books and encouraged one another because we wrote about similar topics. Jim's series, The Lamia, explored reincarnation, shapeshifting, and the connections between science and spirituality. Sue's Past Life Memory series also dealt with reincarnation and spirituality but combined them with romance. Jim had begun reading this novella when it was still incomplete. One of his first comments was, "This feels like I'm arriving at a family reunion!" That's how I feel, too, whenever I lift the cover of a book and see familiar faces coming to life within its pages. You will be greatly missed, Jim and Sue. Thank you for creating such memorable worlds for us to get lost in.
