"I still can't believe I couldn't figure out that you are an elemental. It was so obvious." Braedon said, as he hanged upside down on his bed in his signature Braedon pose. They had decided to act like they didn't know each other when they were out in public (Susan, Ria and Kiara excluded) for the sake of Braedon's job. But in his room, Braedon was...well, Braedon.

"Come on, it was not that obvious!"

"It was. You left the school exactly three days before elemental school started. Besides, your message was sooo sappy." he turned his voice high pitched and moved his hands around animatedly, "Braedon, I'm so sorry. I wish I could tell you where I am, what I am, but..." Incessant sobbing noise that Calvin never made, "I miss you Braedon. I love you."

"Okay, first of all, I never said that. And I don't sound like that."

"You did, and you do. Speaking of which, I'm gay." He said, trying (and failing miserably) to sound casual.

"Really? Welcome to pride." Calvin said, excitedly, "So, who made you realize you're gay? Who?"

"I'm not telling you."

"Why? Tell me..."

"I can't."

'I can't tell you, because you're the one I am crushing on.'

OoOoOoOoOoO

A dark chamber, with no sun coming in. A man was sitting in a corner of the room. His head was put between his knees, the folds of his skin hanging on his bones.

His both hands were dipped in moldy old water bowls, looking healthier than the rest of his body. The man looked up from his knees. His face was handsome, but scary. His eyes were sunken, and had the kind of haunted-ness and darkness only someone who has not seen the sun in a long time has.

His cheeks were hollow are were sticking on his...

"vin? CALVIN?" Calvin jumped out of his reverie when Kiara shook his shoulders.

"Hi, I, Uh, yeah. Sorry."

"What happened? You were just started staring at nothing in the middle of speaking."

"Um, angel vision. Nothing of importance." The man's broken face was still on Calvin's eyelids.

"I was saying we should discuss this from the attackers side. There are like...what? Twelve hours left."

"Yeah, yeah, sure." Calvin was still shaken up, but he was getting more conscious of his surroundings now.

"Okay, so a werewolf, a hot mermaid and an angel will attack us. First up, they come up with huge walls."

"They'll probably think it is for protection only. Angel would fly up, and find water...then what would they do..."

"Guys, we're working on this and all possible possibilities for two days. If I think any more about it, I'll explode. We'll think of back up when the time comes." Maybe he wasn't so much like Annabeth after all.

"He's right. Stop micromanaging, Kiara. We've a genius on our team, we'll be fine." Ria said, putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Aww, I'm blushing." Calvin said, in a flat voice.

"Good luck kids. Go to sleep, don't worry. We've got this." Kiara said in upbeat sound, and went to her room.

OoOoOoOoOoO

"Best of luck to team Unity." Calvin said, as he followed Kiara and Ria who were trying to walk awkwardly, with Kiara carrying the fort model (complete with colored pebbles, painted grounds for camouflaged and a drop of glue with a flap) with Ria's hand over the model controlling the water so that it didn't spill.

They walked into what had yesterday been the breakfast room, and was now filled with four tables in four corners of the room.

They put their model on a table. They wandered off to see others models. Ria stayed at the table, so no one could damage theirs.

Calvin went to Susan's table. They had made a labyrinth of sorts, with doors and compartments in the most unexpected ways. Susan told him, "We've learnt the passage and secret doors by heart. That way, we will have the benefit of knowledge. And I charmed it with a lot of booby traps that we know to avoid."

"Hey, why are you tell him everything?" A black haired boy with purplish eyes asked Susan. Calvin assumed he was the vampires, "We're not competing against each other. Besides, even if he does get any ideas from here, he can't modify his model now."

The vampire gave a sideways glance to him before walking away.

Lily's team had made walls around the cardboard and huge house in the middle. It must have more features in the inside, but unlike Susan, they didn't tell him anything. They didn't have the power of magic on their side, but Lily was clever, and he wasn't going to underestimate her.

The last team, the one with James, had made nothing special. "Its just layers and layers of cardboard. If they can't get in, they can't steal it."

"No offense, man, but it looks ready to topple off."

"I know, it toppled off three types. But I've stuck it with magic."

"So, how will you put the stone in it?"

"Uhh." James looked like he hadn't thought of that. The shapeshifter and the frog looked surprised too. They hissed something to James and Calvin walked away. He felt like he knew who was going to lose this round.

"Alright contestants. Get to breakfast, we've a long day ahead."

They all sat down at the table when the first issue with their plan hit him, "Kiara, Ria (saying your names together is like a tounge twister) listen. What about food?"

"It's on the table." Kiara said, with a confused look.

"No. If we're staying there for a long time, we are going to need food."

"Oh shit. What now?" Ria asked.

"Guys, take up unspoilable food in your pockets. Ria, how fast can you charm something to be water proof?"

"In a second, I suppose." Ria answer, confused.

Perfect. Calvin summoned a bunch of Aluminum foil from his home. They wrapped rolls in the foil and Ria charmed the holes and corners to be waterproof.

"We'll exchange it between onsaults."

"Yes, but where will we place it?"

"One of the four corner houses. Of distributed it in all of them, so that if the raiders plan to steal, they can't steal it all."

"Perfect. I'll float in from below and put them there. I know which places to avoid the booby traps."

"Perfect."

"Alright contestants. Ready? Take your stones and go stand near your tables so that we can minimize you." The brown haired man whose name he didn't know said. Calvin went to collect the stone, and hooray! his angel senses were right! It was exactly like the pebbles they had made, so double safety.

They went to their table and suddenly, Calvin felt conscious of his fort. Was it enough?

He didn't get much time to think and get anxiety. He picked up a bow and arrow from the racks, put his sword-ball in his pocket and turned to the other.  "We're gonna win this. Best of luck."

"Same to you." They both said, and then they ate minimizing the pills. They hopped onto Braedon's hand (which was about) which was about as large as his spread out palm now.

He put them in front of the fort as smoothly as humanly (elemental-ly?) possible.

Calvin held Kiara in wolf form (the chair magic was too complex for him) and put her on the top of the tower. He then held Ria from under the shoulders and tried to put her softly in the water, but the weight was too much for him and she went in with a plop.

Calvin then flew to the top of the middle tower, where Kiara, the pitch black werewolf was sitting. Calvin had to remind himself that it was Kiara and not the wolf that had attacked him a year ago. He peered down in the water. Ria was right, she was camouflaged so well, even he couldn't tell where she was, if she wasn't creating ripples.

A blast of horn was sounded and a voice spoke in the mike, "The first attack begins."

Calvin opened his wings, ready for flight and readied his bow. The ripples in the water stopped as Ria went still and Kiara slouched low, ready to smell from where the raider would come.

Oh shit.

The raiders had a werewolf too. If they smelled the places of Ria and Kiara, their entire strategy is done for. He quickly cast a spell that made the air filled with scented candles. It wasn't very strong, but Ria probably got the hint, because the smell increased tenfold.

Kiara gave him a questioning glance, and whispered softly. It wasn't audible to human ears, but a werewolf would hear just fine, "They've a werewolf too."

The wolf bobbed it's head, and Calvin took it as a nod.

After that, a man in an all black skin tight suit, like black widow flew above the walls. He looked at the water below and before he had time to contemplate his next course of action, or bring anyone else, Calvin shot an arrow in his direction.

He pulled his bird wings around himself, a trick Liza had taught Lily to do, but only Lily, because angel and fairy wings are fragile.

Turns out, it was not necessary, because Calvin wasn't the best shot, and he missed.

Calvin notched another arrow, but before he could shoot, the conch shell blew, indicating the end of the first round round.

So soon?

Calvin's thought process was shown on the man's face, as he looked behind him in confusion. Calvin lowered his bow. He motioned for Kiara to not transform yet, and hopefully, Ria had to common sense to not surface yet too.

She did.

The brown haired man's voice spoke in the speaker, "Team Valor has now been eliminated. Apparently, they forgot to make a door so that they could enter into the fort. Contestants can come out of their respective hiding place, the raiders have been sent to a room where you will not be visible."

Ria surfaced on the water from behind him and Kiara turned back into the humanoid form, "God Calvin, couldn't you think of anything but scented candles? It killed my nose."

"But if it kills your nose, it has to kill the other werewolf's too, right?"

"Good point."

"Hey, Ria? There is an hour until the next round, wanna come up?"

"Uh-huh. You dropped me into the water last time. I'll come up myself."

Calvin was about to ask how she was supposing to do that. But then he saw that she had made a disk of water and was floating to the top.

"Wow." Calvin exclaimed.

"Thanks. Round one of tournament over."

They all clapped hands and cheered. They may win or they may not, but they were having fun, and that's all that matters.
