Epilogue
Sarina's P.O.V
"I'm telling you Steph their definitely up to something... I can feel it in my gut," I say peering around the corner.
"Are you sure that's not just the fish from lunch?" She asks skeptically.
"Yes I'm sure, and maybe..." I grumble in response.
We were both currently sneaking around, I was trying to spy on my mates who were definitely up to no good. And she was hiding from Roger, she had yet to tell him that she was pregnant.
I keep telling her that he would be thrilled after all they had been trying for a baby ever since they got married two years ago.
"I'm just not sure what you're talking about," she continues.
"That's exactly what someone who was in on the secret would say" I reply while glancing at her.
"Oh please I have no time for someone else's secrets with my own" she says to herself while rubbing her stomach, motherhood will definitely suit her well.
Her.
Not me.
And I'm more than thankful Garreth and Enderson haven't pressured me to give them a heir. Oh goodness I could only imagine the pain of giving birth it's only second to being burned alive.
"Your Majesty?"
"Yeah Steph?"
"Wacky idea but why don't you just ask them what their hiding from you? I mean isn't the key to a healthy relationship honesty?"
I say nothing but stare at her momentarily hoping that she realizes the irony in her words, "do you wanna be the pot or the kettle this time?" I ask my voice dripping in sarcasm.
"Yeah yeah touché, but look you're getting your opportunity to ask what they're up to right now!" She says suddenly then pushes me into the hallway.
"Oh look just the woman we were looking for" Garreth says.
"Now come with us," Enderson says as the both of them wrap around each side of me and take one hand for each other not giving me any chance to run away or question them.
The two of them heard me in the direction of the tea room and I sent a silent prayer up to whoever may have been listening that there will be no more snooty women waiting for me in that room. I mean every once in a while I did have to deal with them, but they better not be dragging me off to them. When we finally get to the room Enderson opens the door and I'm surprised to find it completely empty except for an older woman and older man standing not too far away from the door.
"Who the hell are you?" I ask.
"Don't you recognize us?" The women asks in confusion conflicting with the obvious smile lines on her face.
"Am I supposed too?"
Both the man and women glance at each other, I knew they were spirits the second I walked in here. So they couldn't have anything to do with me, I hope. I didn't think I had pissed anyone off lately...
"We're your parents!" The women shouts in excitement.
"Huh?" I say shocked and dumbfounded.
"Surprise!" Garreth and Enderson shout in unison.
"What?" I manage to grit out as I turn around to face the two of them.
"Well it took a while but we managed to track down your parents and I'm now realizing we probably should have checked with you if you actually wanted to see your parents..." Garreth explains but slowly starts trailing off.
"I'll deal with you two later"I grit out then turn back around to face my 'parents', but first a few questions.
"Ok if you're really my parents what are your names?"
"Bill and Susan Graywaever" the man answers honestly.
"Oh my lord you are my parents!" I exclaim.
At that realization I immediately run towards my parents and give them a giant hug after all it's been 18 years since I've seen them last.
"Sorry about being so untrusting but lots of weirdos are always trying to sneak in here" I apologize.
"That's alright it's just so nice to see you again dear, we had always hoped you would be mated to a nice spirit" my mother gushes.
We all move to sit on the couches on the tea room, I sit in the middle of my parents and one couch and across from us Garreth and Enderson sit. It feels amazing to finally see them again, I had always hoped I would see 'em again but I never really had the courage to go out looking for them.
"So what are you doing here really?" I ask my parents.
"Your mates wanted our blessings"
"Blessings for what?" I ask confused.
They both look at each other seeming to debate on whether or not they want to tell me.
"It's okay Bill and Susan we can take it from here" Enderson says.
My parents both nod and leave the room, "so what do you two wanna talk about?"
"Well..." they both hesitantly say in unison, but then they both get up out of their chairs and get down on one knee.
"Oh my..."
Then they both proceeded to pull out two identical black velvet boxes.
"Sarina after these last few years we've gotten to know you and cherish you so much..." Garreth starts
"And we wanted to make sure the time was right and that we had your parents blessings, which to be honest we would've done sooner if we could find them" Enderson continues.
"So please with every inch of love in our hearts we ask if you to marry us?" They both ask in Unisen as they both in sync open the little black boxes inside or two separate rings.
"Yes! Yes of course!" I shout out in excitement.
They both stand up and draw me into an Earth shattering kiss. Then they put the rings on my finger and when both rings were connected they looked absolutely stunning.
"Help!" Steph shouts as she rushes into the room and slams the door behind her.
"What?!" I ask jumping out of my seat Garreth and Enderson both immediately going on the defense.
"I told Roger I'm pregnant" she breathes out.
"And he didn't take it well?" I ask getting ready to whoop his ass.
"Not exactly..."
"Care to explain?" Garreth asks both him and Enderson calming down.
"He took it so well that he started to doing back flips, then he started ranting about any possible complications... then he sorta got this crazy look in his eye and I started running away" she explains.
"What an odd man" I grumble.
"But enough about me what's going on with you?" She says obviously trying to take all the attention off of her.
"Well... We're ENGAGED!" I shout and show off my engagement ring.
