(Wakanda)

Y/N's P.O.V

After the fight in Siberia Mr. Stark and Natasha took Zemo to Berlin to put him in jail.

The rest of Cap's team have been released in return.

Mr. Stark showed Ross the evidence, so Bucky has been cleared of all charges when it comes to the UN bombing.

Now Mr. Stark is gonna talk to Ross about the Sokovia Accords and get scrapped.

I never signed it, but from what I've heard the Sokovia Accords aren't the best idea.

Anyway, right now Steve, T'challa and I have taken Bucky to Wakanda.

T'challa offered to help him get the Winter Soldier programming removed.

And I'm here cause I wanna see Wakanda.

I'm sat with Bucky when Steve comes over.

Steve: Are you sure about this?

He looks up at Cap.

Bucky: I can't trust my own mind. So, until they can find a way to get this shit out of my head I think going back under is the best thing. For everyone.

Y/N: Well, on the way here I came up with some ideas for a new arm and gave them to T'challa. He'll give it to his sister. So you'll have a new arm for when you're ready.

Bucky looks at me and smiles.

Bucky: Thanks, Y/N. You're a good kid, thanks for helping me. And I'm sorry for throwing that sign at you.

I smirk.

Y/N: It's all good. I'm sorry that hit kick you and Wilson off the ledge. 

He chuckles.

Bucky: It's okay. Let's just call it even.

I nod.

Y/N: You got it.

After that the Wakandan techs put Bucky in the cryo chamber and he goes back into cryo sleep, at least for now.

Third person perspective

Once Barnes is in stasis, Steve leaves the lab and looks out of a nearby window.

A moment later he's joined by T'challa.

Steve: Thank you for doing this.

He looks at Rogers.

T'challa: Your friend and my father, they were both victims. If I can help one of them find peace.

Steve: If they find out he's here, they'll come for him.

The soon-to-be King steps forward and looks at the panther statue outside.

T'challa: Let them try.

(The next day)

(Upstate New York)

I'm now back in Upstate New York at the Avengers Compound with Mr. Stark.

Rhodes has woken up now and he seems to be okay.

I wait outside as Mr. Stark comes out.

Tony: Hey, kid.

I look up at him.

Y/N: Yeah?

Tony: Rhodey wants to talk to you.

Y/N: Alright.

I get up and go into the room to see Rhodes sat up in bed.

Rhodey: Hey there, kid.

Y/N: Hi. How are you feeling, Colonel?

Rhodey: I'm sore, but I'll live.

I walk over to him.

Rhodey: Tony told me about what happened after I got shot down. You saved my life.

Y/N: I just did what anyone else would've done. Mr. Stark and Sam tried to save you too.

Rhodey: Yeah, but you did it. You've got skills, kid, that's for sure.

Y/N: Thanks.

Rhodey: I owe you, Y/N. If it weren't for you I'd be paralysed. So, if you ever need my help, just call and I'll be there.

Y/N: I appreciate that, Colonel. Thank you.

Rhodey: Anytime. And just call me Rhodey.

We then shake hands.

After that Mr. Stark comes back in.

Tony: Y/N, it's time to go. I need to get you back home.

Y/N: Right, okay.

I look back to Rhodey.

Y/N: I'll see you around, Rhodey.

Rhodey: See ya, kid. Good luck out there.

Y/N: Thanks.

I turn and walk out with Mr. Stark.

(Two hours later)

(Queens, New York)

Right now I'm car with Mr. Stark and Happy.

Happy drives the car and pulls up outside my house.

Mr. Stark just said something I couldn't believe.

Y/N: So, I get to keep the suit?

He nods.

Tony: Yeah, that's just what I was saying. Besides, it's not gonna fit me.

Y/N: Oh, that's so cool. Thank you.

Tony: Look, I just want to tell you to be careful. I'm not gonna be a helicopter mentor and be constantly on you. I think you've earned that.

Y/N: Right. Thank you for trusting me.

Tony: Don't do anything I would do. And definitely don't do anything I wouldn't do. There's a little gray area and that's where you'll operate.

Y/N: Wait, so am I an Avenger now?

Tony: Uh, no. But you're on your way.

Y/N: Oh, okay. So, when will you need me again?

Tony: I'm not sure. But I'll call you when I need you again.

Y/N: Got it.

He leans forward and I hug him.

Tony: I wasn't hugging you, I was getting the door for you. We're not... we're not there yet.

Y/N: Oh, right.

I get out and grab my case with my new suit in it.

Tony: Bye.

Y/N: Bye.

Happy then drives off.

Y/N: Well, that was insane and awesome.

I turn and go into the house.

I can't wait to tell my dad about what happened.
