(The next day)

(Venice, Italy)

Y/N's P.O.V 

I'm now in Venice as this is where the water creature will hit, at least that's what Fury said.

I make it to the hotel that Fury has set me up in. 

After sorting my stuff I head out into Venice.

I also have another suit with me, just in case.

As I walk around, I call up Director Fury.

Y/N: Alright Fury, I'm all set up. What now?

Nick Fury: Go explore. Pick up some gifts for your girl. But keep your eyes peeled. That thing could be anywhere.

I leave my hotel room.

Y/N: Okay, are you sure this creature is here in Venice?

Nick Fury: Yes, all our scanners have it's signature heading towards Venice.

Y/N: Okay, fine. This plan of yours better work, old man.

I hang up the phone and head out to explore.

(Fifteen minutes later)

So I've been looking around Venice for about ten minutes now and I've gotta say it's a beautiful city.

I might have to bring Tory here soon for a little vacation one day.

The whole time I've been here, I can't help but feel like I'm being watched. It could be nothing, but it could be something.

I've just bought a nice necklace for Tory. I think she'll like it.

As I'm walking by the waterfront I see crabs climbing out of the water.

My spider sense then starts to go off.

Y/N: (Whispers) Something's coming.

Then out of nowhere a giant water monster comes up from out of the water.

Y/N: Holy shit!

The people start to run I go into an alleyway and change into my suit.

A moment later I jump onto the rooftop in my Iron-Spider suit.

After that I fire webs at the water creature, but it doesn't work.

Y/N: Why did I think that would work?

I look over to see innocent people on the bridge. They're about to be attacked.

Y/N: Oh, no you don't.

I jump off the rooftop.

I then jump across the river using the poles as platforms.

After that I make it to the bridge and help the people out.

When I turn I get hit by the water monster's fist.

I fall back and hit the ground.

Y/N: Ow. That hurt.

I then see green blasts of energy hit the creature. I look back to see someone flying in with a green trail of smoke I guess.

After that I jump up and land on the roof of the bridge.

Y/N: Hey, man!

The figure turns to me.

Y/N: I'm a hero. I'm Spider-Man. I can help you!

???: Okay. I need you to help me lead it away from the canals.

Y/N: Got it!

He quickly flies off.

I web zip away with him as the water creature follows us away from the canals.

I see buidling are starting to fall apart.

Y/N: Oh shit.

I start to secure the buildings with my webs to stop people from getting crushed.

As we head further into the city the creature hits the bell tower and I have to use my webbing to keep the tower up.

Once I've secured it I see that the new guy has dealt with the water creature.

He looks to me and nods before flying off.

I retract my mask.

Y/N: Now, who the hell was that guy?

(Three hours later)

I'm now back at my hotel and I'm talking with Tory on the phone.

I saw the news report of what happened today.

The news outlets are calling him Mysterio.

Tory: So, you're okay?

Y/N: Yeah, I'm fine, babe. Honestly.

Tory: Okay good. So, who was that guy you were fighting with? Did Strange get a new suit or something?

Y/N: Nah, Tory, that wasn't Strange. His power was different. I don't know who he was to be honest. The news is calling him Mysterio though.

Tory: Mysterio? Hmm, cool name.

I chuckle.

Y/N: Yeah. Well, that water monster is gone. So I should be in the clear to leave. I'll be home tomorrow.

Tory: Great.

Y/N: And I have a present for you.

Tory: Aw, babe. What is it?

Y/N: I don't wanna ruin the surprise. You'll find out when I see you. I better go now. Bye, I love you.

Tory: I love you too, Tiger.

I hang up and leave the bathroom to see Fury sitting on the couch.

Y/N: Hi, Fury. So, I helped you out. That water thing is gone. I'm heading home tomorrow. It was good working with you.

Nick Fury: Yeah... about that. 

Y/N: Hey, hey. No, you don't get to say that. We had a deal.

Nick Fury: I know, but things have become more complicated.

Y/N: How's that?

He stands up.

Nick Fury: Put your suit on and come with me.

I grab my suit and my web shooters.

Fury and I then leave the room.

God knows what's gonna happen now.

(Ten minutes later) 

I'm now on a boat with Fury going across the river.

Fury hands me a small case.

Nick Fury: Stark left these for you in his will.

Y/N: Really? How come I never knew about this? 

Nick Fury: I don't know. He had me hold on to them and give them to you at the right time. I guess now is a good a time as any.

Y/N: Even in death, Tony is full of surprises.

Fury chuckles.

Nick Fury: That he is.

I open the case to see a pair of sunglasses inside.

Y/N: Wow.

Nick Fury: "Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown."

Fury looks at me.

Nick Fury: Stark said you wouldn't get that because it's not a Star Wars reference.

He chuckles.

I then close the case. 

After that we make it to the undisclosed location and head inside.

Why did Tony leave me these glasses and not tell me about them?
