(Three days later)

Y/N's P.O.V

It's been three days since I defeated the Lizard and the city is now back to normal.

Dr. Connors was arrested for his crimes and is being held in a ward for the insane. 

After saving the city the Mayor is having a day for me to give me the Key to the City.

I'm actually visiting Connors as Spider-Man as I need to talk to gin about something.

I repel down on a web line and take my mask off.

Y/N: Hello, Dr. Connors.

He turns to me. 

Curt: Y/N, I didn't expect to see you here. How are you?

Y/N: I'm okay. How are you?

Curt: I'm doing well. Or as well as I can be.

I nod.

Y/N: I understand.

Curt: Y/N, I'd like to apologise for everything I did to you and everyone else as... you know.

Y/N: It's okay, Doc. It wasn't you. People may be mad now, but one day they'll see that.

Curt: I hope you're right. So, why are you here?

I drop down from the web line.

Y/N: I need to ask you something. Awhile back I discovered an ability and I was hoping you could tell me how it could've happened.

Curt: What is it?

I activate my new claws.

Y/N: I don't know if you remember, but I used this claws in our fight and I didn't know I had. I don't understand where they came from. I was hoping you could help me figure it out.

He looks at them closely from his cell.

Curt: They look like talons.

Y/N: Yeah, I know.

His eyes widen.

Curt: I think I know how you have those.

Y/N: How?

Curt: When we were creating the enhanced spider's we spliced their DNA with the DNA of other animals to extend their life span. One animal was the Harpy Eagle.

Y/N: So, you think when the spider bit me it transferred the Eagle DNA over as well as it's own?

Curt: Yes. Though, we'd need to do more research to confirm that.

Y/N: Well, I can do that on my end.

Curt: And I'll do what I can from in here. It'd be a good distraction for me.

Y/N: Thank you, Curt.

Curt: Of course. I have alot to make up for.

Just then I get a text from Tory.

Y/N: Sorry, Doc. I gotta go and get ready for the Spider-Man Day Festival.

Curt: I understand. Good luck, Y/N.

Y/N: Thanks. Bye, Dr. Connors.

Curt: Bye.

I jump up and get out using the vents.

(Two hours later)

I'm now at the festival that Mayor Daniels has thrown for Spider-Man to give him the key to the city.

I look around at how amazing it is.

???: Hey there, babe.

I turn around to see Tory standing there.

Y/N: Hey.

She comes over and we kiss.

Y/N: Okay, I'm gonna be swinging in from over there. So you know where to look.

She looks in the direction I point in before looking back to me. 

Tory: Okay. Give 'em a good show, babe.

???: Hey, guys.

We look over to see Ben come over.

Y/N & Tory: Hey.

We both hug him.

Y/N: Thanks for coming, man. 

Ben: Of course. So, are you ready?

Y/N: I'm a little nervous, but yeah. I'm ready.

Ben: Come on, you don't have to be nervous. You'll be wearing a mask.

I nod.

Y/N: Yeah, that's true.

We then see Mayor Daniels walk onto the stage.

Y/N: Okay, I better go.

Tory: Good luck.

Y/N: Thanks, babe.

I run off to suit up.

A moment later I'm now in my suit and I've landed on a rooftop nearby.

I can now see/hear Mayor Daniels speech.

He walks up to the podium and speaks into the mic.

Daniels: Hello citizens of New York. So, I think it's safe to say this city has seen some pretty weird stuff recently. We've had giant mutant lizard's running around the city, but we got something in return. We got a hero. We got Spider-Man.

The crowd starts clapping.

Daniels: We were given a hero that has saved us multiple times. Spider-Man has saved this whole city. He did this without getting so much as thank you. Well today... today he does. I am honoured to be here today to give the key to New York City to our very own hero. Spider-Man!!!

The crowd starts clapping again.

I jump down from the rooftop and swing down towards the festival.

I swing through and start giving high fives to people in the crowd.

Y/N: Hey! What's up?! How you doing?!

I then land on the podium and start waving at the crowd as they cheer my name.

As I'm waving at the crowd I go over to Mayor Daniels and shake his hand.

After taking a picture with him as Spider-Man he grabs the key to the city and holds it out to me.

Daniels: The doors to New York City will forever be open for you, Spider-Man.

I nod and take the key.

Y/N: Thank you, Mayor Daniels

He nods and we shake hands again.

Just then my spider sense goes off.

I look up to see a car flying at us.

I quickly grab the Mayor and web zip us off the podium before the car hits it.

We land on the ground nearby.

Y/N: Are you okay, sir?

Daniels: Yes, I'm fine. Thank you.

The mayor's security come to take him away.

After this I feel the ground start to shake and I see a guy in a Rhino suit coming towards me.

???: The hero of New York City. What a joke.

Y/N: Okay, let's do this. 

I jump into the air and swing towards him.

I then use my webs to get manhole cover and use it to dodge anything Rhino threw at me.

Once I'm close enough I swing the manhole cover around and hit him in the face.

This isn't gonna be an easy fight.
