Chapter 2: A Day As Spider-Man

(Queens, New York. April, 2016. Y/N's age: 14)

Y/N's P.O.V

So, I've just woken up and gotten out of the shower before getting changed.

I look in the mirror and and pull my hoodie down to see my suit underneath.

It never hurts to have it with me.

Y/N: Man, I do like this suit, but I do need something better.

After that I head downstairs to see dad getting ready to leave.

Y/N: Hey, dad.

Henry: Hey, kiddo. You ready for school?

Y/N: Yeah.

I grab my web shooters out of my backpack and put them on my wrists.

Henry: You swinging to school?

Y/N: Yeah. It gets me to school quicker.

Henry: Okay. Just make sure no-one sees you.

Y/N: Dad, I know. I was keeping this a secret longer than you were. I mean only by a month, but still.

He chuckles.

Henry: Okay, good point. Well, I better get to work. I'll see you later.

Y/N: Alright. Bye, dad.

He waves to me before leaving for work.

After that I change out of my clothes and into my suit.

I then run back up to my bedroom.

I open the window and web zip out, using a web to close it behind me.

As I swing to school I see an SUV speeding down the street. It's also a shoot-out.

Y/N: Damn it. Gotta stop that.

I web swing down to stop the criminal's.

I land on the rooftop as a crook comes out with a rifle.

I quickly web him up and he flies away.

Y/N: See ya!

(A/N: Just imagine it's Y/N in his prototype suit above.)

After dealing with him safely I flip onto to the hood car and use my web lines to bring the car to a stop.

I jump down as the other three crooks get out.

I quickly web them to the SUV to stop them.

Criminal: What is this stuff?

Y/N: It's webbing I developed myself. I don't think you'd understand it.

The cop cars then show up.

Y/N: Well, I better go.

I web zip away and head to school.

(Ten minutes later)

I swing towards school and land on the rooftop as the school bell goes off.

I sigh.

Y/N: Man, it'd be nice to make it to school on time for a change.

Ever since I become Spider-Man, I've struggled balancing it with school.

I quickly change back into my clothes and rush to class.

I quickly burst into class.

Y/N: I'm here! I'm here.

Mr. Daniels: Late again, Mr. Drake.

Y/N: Sorry, sir. I woke up late and the train came late too.

He sighs.

Mr. Daniels: Okay. Just don't let that happen again. Set an alarm.

Y/N: It won't, sir.

I walk over to my desk and look at my best friend, Ben.

Ben: (Whispers) Late again, dude.

Y/N: (Whispers) Yeah, I noticed.

Ben: (Whispers) What happened?

Y/N: (Whispers) There was a car chase and a shoot-out.

Ben: (Whispers) Cool. I mean awful.

Y/N: (Whispers) Yeah, it wasn't fun. Oh, and you couldn't have covered for me.

Ben: (Whispers) I tried to, but Daniels wasn't having it.

I start paying attention to Mr. Daniels.

(One hour later)

I'm now at my locker and grabbing my books.

Ben comes over.

Ben: Bro, you didn't tell me about the bank robbery.

He shows me the footage of the bank robbery on his phone.

Y/N: Yeah. Well, that happened yesterday.

Ben: It's still cool though. Oh and I still have one question about your powers?

I sigh.

Ever since he found out about my powers he's been asking me questions.

I look at him.

Y/N: Okay, what is it?

Ben: Do you shoot webs out of your butt?

I chuckle.

Y/N: What? No.

He laughs.

Ben: Come on. I had to ask.

Y/N: I'm just glad that wasn't the first question you asked.

I close my locker and we walk through the hall together.

Ben: So, when are you gonna get a better suit? I mean your current one is a bit... meh.

Y/N: Well, do you have the resources to make a Stark-level Spider-Man suit? Cause I don't.

Ben: Okay, good point. But who knows, maybe you'll meet Tony Stark and he'll make a new suit for you?

I chuckle.

Y/N: (Sarcastically) Oh, Yeah. Sure. Then after that I'll meet a pig with spider powers calling himself Spider-Pig.

Ben: Alright, no need for sarcasium.

Y/N: Well, I mean come on. I don't think Tony Stark has time to meet with a street-level hero to make him a new suit.

He and I then walk to our next class as we continue to talk.

Third person perspective

Meanwhile in Germany, Tony Stark and Natasha Romanoff are having troubles.

Ross has just given them thirty-six hours to bring in the rogue Avengers.

Stark looks to Natasha.

Tony: My left arm is numb, is that normal?

Romanoff goes over and puts her hand on his shoulder.

Natasha: You alright?

Tony: Always.

Stark sighs.

Tony: Thirty-six hours. Damn.

Natasha: We're seriously understaffed.

Tony: Oh, yeah. It'd be great if we had a Hulk right about now. Any shot?

Natasha: You really think he'd be on our side?

Tony: Good point.

Natasha: I have an idea.

Tony: Me too. Where's yours?

She tilts her head.

Natasha: Downstairs. Where's yours?

Stark just smirks.

It's time for a trip to Queens.
