(The next day)

Y/N's P.O.V 

So yesterday the team and I found out that Felicia is working for Tombstone,

We still don't know what's on those drives or why Tombstone wants them.

I've just found out that Black Cat used a Tombstone crew to distract me, so she can get the second drive.

I'm now on my way to the location, so I call up Kate and update her.

Y/N: Hey, babe. I've figured out where Cat is so I'm gonna stop her.

Kate: Okay, good. So, why do you think Black Cat is working for Tombstone, anyway? I mean I thought she usually flies solo.

Y/N: No idea. I stopped tryin' to figure Felicia out a long time ago.

Kate: Felicia, huh? You two on a first name basis now?

Y/N: I guess. I mean we've known each other for a long time. Don't be jealous.

Kate: I'm not jealous. Let's just keep each other in the loop, okay?

Y/N: Yes, ma'am. I'll keep you posted.

I swing over there and land on the roof.

I go over to the door Felicia bursts out of it and tackles me to the ground.

I look up to see her sitting on my lap holding a small statue.

Felicia: Hey there, Spider. It feels just like old times being in this position.

She winks at me before breaking the statue and pulling a drive out of it.

Y/N: Very funny. Felicia, I don't know why you're working for Tombstone, but you need to stop. I've met him and you shouldn't be playing...

Felicia: But I like to play. You know that. And I know you find that particular quality sexy.

She jumps off of me and leaves the roof.

Just then some of Tombstone's crew come through the door.

Thug: Spider-Man! He's working with the Cat. Get him!

Y/N: Really, guys? Come on!

Thug #2: Wow. Tombstone really hired Spider-Man?

Y/N: Wow, you guys sure do jump to conclusions. I'm not working for your boss or any other criminals. It's just wrong place, wrong time.

I take down the thugs before web zipping away.

I then land on a nearby rooftop.

Felicia: I like watching you. It reminds me of old times.

I turn to see Felicia behind me without her mark or wig.

She comes over and runs her hand across my chest.

Felicia: You look good in this new suit. Though I do think you look sexier in black.

Y/N: Enough games, Cat. What's on that drive?

Felicia: Not sure to be honest.

She steps away to puts her wing and mask back on.

Y/N: Then why are you stealing them for Tombstone? I don't get it.

Felicia: Because if I don't...

She turns to me.

Felicia: He'll kill my son.

She quickly throws down a smoke bomb to get away.

Y/N: Wait what!? Your son!?

I then see that Felicia is gone.

Y/N: Damn it!

I web swing away and try to find her.

Y/N: Felicia has a son! Can't be. I mean it *could* be. And *I* could be... No no no, not gonna think about that right now!

I then decide to call Kate back. She needs to know what's going on.

Y/N: Katie, I found Black Cat, but she got away. And she stole another data drive.

Kate: Damn. Well, Natasha and I just found out that each Maggia family has a drive. Wonder what's on 'em? Did you learn anything else?

For a moment I thought about telling her about Felicia's son and about me possibly being the father of said son.

No, I should wait for the right time.

Y/N: No, no. That's it.

Kate: Okay. It sounds like she's helping Tombstone gather all the drives from all the Maggia Crime Families.

Y/N: If you ask me that's probably gonna end badly for everyone.

Kate: Yeah, the last thing New York needs is a new crime-lord trying to take over. I'll let you know if I turn up anything about those drives.

Y/N: Okay. Thanks, babe. I love you.

Kate: I love you too.

She hangs up.

Y/N: God. I need to swing around for a bit. Clear my head.

I take off and swing into the city.

Y/N: How am I supposed to tell Kate that I potentially have a child with my ex-girlfriend?

Just then I get a call from Joe.

Y/N: Hey, Joe. What's up?

Joe: Hey, kid. I need you back at the precinct. We need CSI to go over what we found at a street fight with Spider-Man and a bunch of thugs.

I sigh.

Y/N: Okay, I'm on my way.

Joe: You okay, Y/N? Did something happen?

Y/N: It's a long story, Joe. I can't really talk about it right now.

Joe: Okay, that's fine, but I'm here if you need to talk.

Y/N: Thanks. I appreciate it. I'm on my way to the precinct. See you soon.

I hang up and swing to work.

Though, I don't even know how I'm gonna focus on work right now.

(The next day)

So, I just had a run in with a Tombstone crew and apparently Cat stole another Maggia drive too.

After some time of sitting with the whole "potentially having a son" thing. I decide that I can't hold it in anymore.

I need to tell Katie about this. I also need to tell her about Cat getting another drive.

So, I call Kate.

Y/N: Hey, Katie. Cat got another data drive.

Kate: Just one more and Tombstone has all the Maggia family drives. We gotta figure out what's on those drives.

Y/N: Yeah. Oh and there's something else. There's this thing, probably not a big thing, but it COULD be a thing. A little thing... maybe big thing.

Kate: Y/N, please say a sentence that doesn't have the word "thing" in it.

Y/N: Right, sorry. Okay, so the reason Felicia is working with Tombstone is because he took her son.

Kate: Really? I didn't know she had a son, but given what I've heard that does sound like something Tombstone would do.

Y/N: There's this other thing. You know that she and I dated for awhile before we met.

Kate: Yeah, so. Oh. Oh! Are you serious?!

Y/N: Well, I don't know for sure, but it's possible.

Kate: God, I need to hang up now.

She hangs up on me.

Y/N: Well, that went about as well as I expected. She'll call back once she's cooled off, right? Man, I need to talk to someone about this.

I web swing back to the precinct.

(Twenty minutes later)

I'm now at the police precinct and I go to Joe's office.

I knock on the door and walk in.

Y/N: Hey, Joe.

Joe: Hey, Y/N. You okay?

Y/N: Uh, I don't know. Can we talk?

Joe: Sure.

I go and sit down.

I spend the next few minutes telling him about what's happening with Felicia.

And me potentially being a father.

He sighs.

Joe: Wow, kid. That's crazy.

Y/N: Yeah, I know.

Joe: Does Kate know?

Y/N: Yeah, I told her and we haven't spoken since then. I'm just gonna give her some time to process it all.

Joe: Good idea.

I sigh.

Y/N: Man, I can't be a dad. Look at me, Joe. I can barely take care of myself, let alone a kid.

Joe: Just calm down. Now, you don't know for sure he's yours, right?

Y/N: Yeah, I guess so. I just don't know what to do.

Joe: Yeah, I've been there. When it comes to being a parent you usually don't know what you're doing.

Y/N: Oh, great.

Joe: Look, Y/N, I can't imagine how hard this is on you, but you'll be fine. Kate will come around.

Y/N: It's more than that, Joe. I feel like I should've known that she was pregnant. I should've sensed it. Why didn't I?

Joe: I don't know. I'm sorry you're going through this, kid.

Y/N: Thanks. I just needed to talk through this. I better get back out there and find Cat. Thanks for the talk, Joe.

Joe: Anytime.

I get up.

Joe: Oh, and for what it's worth. I think you'd make a pretty good dad.

I smile.

Y/N: Thanks, Joe.

I leave the office.

(Ten minutes later)

I'm now back out in the city and I get a call from Kate.

Y/N: Hey, Kate.

Kate: First things first. Go to this address. It's the last known of the Costa family safe. If my contact is right, that's where the final drive is.

Y/N: Okay. So, Kate. I...

Kate: No, Y/N. Let me finish. I'm sorry. I kinda overrated before.

Y/N: No, you didn't. You reacted the exact same way I would have.

Kate: We weren't together at the time, we didn't even know each back then. So it's unfair of me to be mad at you for that. Anyway, the point is we're adults and there's a child in danger. So let's get to saving him. 

Y/N: Wow. I don't deserve you, Kate Bishop.

She chuckles.

Kate: Yeah I know. Besides soon it's gonna be Kate Drake.

Y/N: Kate Drake, huh? I expected you'd wanna hyphenate.

Kate: I never really thought about that. Hmm, it's not a bad idea though.

Katie then tells that everything each Maggia family has a drive to access their families assets.

And from that we put together that Tombstone stole Felicia's son, so she'll steal the drives for him.

Kate: Y/N, we have to find that last drive before he does.

Y/N: Yeah, I'm on it.

I hang up and head to the address Kate gave me.

(Thirty minutes later)

I make it to the location and see Cat sneaking out of the building. 

Y/N: Felicia. We need to talk.

She looks at me.

Felicia: Aww, I do miss our little cute talks. But I gotta run.

She throws something that sticks on to me and explodes.

Felicia runs and jumps down to the streets.

I jump down after to her and try to catch myself with my webs, but my web shooters don't work.

Y/N: Shit! She shorted out my web shooters with an EMP. I guess I'm doing this the old fashioned way.

I chase after her on foot.

A few minutes later, I chase her down into the subway and she jumps on a train.

Y/N: Yes! My web shooters finally re-booted.

I swing down the subway after her.

Y/N: Felicia, I can help you stop Tombstone.

Felicia: How? No killing? No breaking the law? Your way won't get it done.

Y/N: Felicia, about your son. I just need to know, is he...

Felicia: He's my son, and I'll take care of him. Just like I have since the day he was born.

I keep trying to talk some sense into her.

Felicia: Stubborn little spider. You still with me?

Y/N: I can go all night if that's what it takes.

Felicia: Mmmm, now you're getting my attention.

I chase her off the train and back onto the streets.

I use my webs to slow her down.

When I catch up to her I manage to grab her.

She goes over the side of a building and I stick to it and catch her, while hanging upside down.

Y/N: Can we talk like human beings?

Felicia: Well, this feels pretty human to me.

She climbs up my body and keels down. I climb back up and kneel down next to her.

I take off my mask.

Y/N: Felicia, I know what's on those drives.

Felicia: Look at you. Brawn and brains. Such a sexy combination.

Y/N: If you give Tombstone those drives your son will just be a loose end. Please, let me help you.

She looks at me.

Felicia: What do you have in mind?

Y/N: Stall him. Give us some time to find your son.

Felicia puts her hand on my cheek.

Felicia: I've missed you, missed your touch. I'm glad we're back together again.

I move her hand away.

Y/N: Not like that.

Felicia: Shame.

She nods and stands up.

Felicia: Okay, I can probably get us a few days max.

I nod and stand with her.

Y/N: Hey so, about your son. Is there any chance that I'm...

She puts her finger to my lips.

Felicia: Later. For now let's find him. Once he's safe, we'll talk about that. I promise.

I nod.

Y/N: Okay.

Felicia: Keep in touch, Spider.

Felicia then zips away.

Y/N: God. Katie's gonna kill me.

I decide to call her.

Kate: Hey, did you get here this time?

Y/N: Yeah, she's gonna stall Tombstone, while we all try and find her son.

Kate: Did she tell you if your...?

Y/N: No, she didn't say.

Kate: Of course she didn't. Y/N, are sure she's not just playing you?

Y/N: No. I know her, Kate. She wouldn't work for someone like Tombstone unless she had to.

Kate: Okay, if you're sure. Look, I'm gonna run that plate number you sent me. I'll let you know where it leads.

Y/N: Okay. Thanks, babe.

She hangs up.

Man, it's been a long day.
